With a police murder and evil intrigues behind respectable facades, Schmücke and Schneider must take care of; and that at a unusual place: this time, they are not in Halle, but Erfurt. There, the young prosecutor Cordes doesn't trust her own investigators. She suspects that the Erfurt police apparatus could be corrupt to up the highest levels. That's why she asked the two Halle commissioners for their assistance. They are supposed to solve the death of a young police officer, who died when his car exploded. In the process, Schmücke and Schneider come across a swamp of human trafficking, prostitution and corruption.
