I really wanted to love this, but it just didn't hold my attention. The visuals are cool, and there are some great ideas here, but the story feels plodding and kind of dry. There's not much of a clear thread to follow, and the timeline jumps around so much that it's hard to keep track of what's going on.
Watching it at home made it even tougher-I kept getting distracted because the movie just doesn't pull you in. I feel like this would probably work way better in a theater, where you can really soak in the immersive style and focus on all the little details.
Overall, it's a neat concept, but the storytelling gets in its own way and makes it hard to stay engaged.

Deli Boys has to be one of the funniest series I've seen in a long time!
The writing on the show is flawless, weaving in humour and action while making it unpredictable.
More shows need to be like this.
The acting is great too. The main actors know just how to portray their emotions and comedic elements without looking stupid and slapstick.
I'm definitely going to have to check out the other shows made by this team.
What else can I say? I guess not much, but apparently my review is too short. Let's give this a try.... Hmmm... apparently I still need more words. OK, I think I'm there...
Highly recommended!

So, The Gorge starts off with an interesting first half-I was totally into it. The action, the mystery, the chemistry between the leads-it all felt fresh and exciting. For a while, I really thought this was going to be something special.
But then... yeah, not so much. Turns out, underneath all the slick visuals and fun setup, it's really just a fancy horror flick with no real depth. The "solution" the characters come up with is laughably dumb and makes no justification why it wasn't done years before, and by the time the ending rolled around, I was just sitting there thinking, Wait... what does this have to do with the rest of the movie?
As usual Anya Taylor Joy was amazing, but Miles Teller totally flubbed it up and acted as though he was at a shopping mall doing parkour navigating escalators.
It's a fun ride while it lasts, but don't expect it to have any story or depth. Very superficial.
Cinematography and Anya's performance are the only reasons I gave it a 6. Otherwise, it would've been a 2.
