The imagery. The costumes. The pacing. The languages. The 1984 version is fine for what it was. I love when a film can capture the essence of the book from which it is based.
The usage of 2D and 3D animation was great! This is not a movie that's gonna be critically acclaimed, however, there's technical expertise that was amazing! It's okay to have a movie that doesn't take itself too seriously.
It is a film made with friends - old and new. The fashion was still on point. It is family friendly. A few political jabs do not end the enjoyment. It is a comedy and should not be taken so seriously.
