I wasted some time watching the poorer remakes but thankful this.now available on enhanced pbs. It is terrific as many reviewers write in detail I will not repeat. T is the best T. The Belgian supporting actors also are very good. There is a lot of suspense in many episodes. Ouch I have to say more...dislike the characters min amount for reviews such length not always necessary. To go on as required this is great for crime thriller drama lovers and comedy is listed I would say humor for some chat yet interactions; do it come here looking for comedy; sometimes the characters quirks are the subject of non insulting humor.

Though an important story, left mid first part. Too long. Beginning good but getting into police part and investigation know outcome and details became uninteresting.!that parents and society let this happen to their young daughters where was the expected supervision. It is very difficult also because the bad guys are Pakistanis and the victims are White British so it has to get around ant racism implication. I stopped watching at point police finally got involved because then all that should have happened with just e years before, happened. Worth watching but not enough for me to go back. That it is a true story is simply a horror if a Justice system that lacks Justice and when years later they come back without sufficient apologies to the girls ...I did not stay to watch the self righteous.

Into 20 minutes.of episode 2. Prefacing this I dislike the lead actor but muddled through two seasons. Not sure I can stay with th third. Lots of shooting but no real tension and uncertain story line. It is boring for an action film. Deciding whether to watch further wasting my time or quit now. Have to write more for I'm done. The story about something Americans don't like. Russians think Americans behind subsequent murders. Two American agencies at odds with each other. More senseless inexplicable murders. Scientists and science projects involved. Secret bomb building by whom? The whole thing is a mess to watch and badly acted by most except Wendell Pierce. Someone has to explain why the guy who plays Jack Ryan was hired. He is wrong for the role. No here's stature in him. The rest of the cast except Wendell is second or third rate.
