I liked season 1 because of the tense father-daughter relationship between a rough and protective older man on one side and a vulnerable teenager on the other side. Joel's character actually carried the show. The makers of the show must have known that. Since there were some changes made to the original game story, they could've kept Joel's character for at least one more season and give him a more meaningful death.
Now the focus is apparently on a love story between two young women, a relationship that has no real tension. They are very alike, even have the same height. As does Abby. All small and slim but able to carry heavy guns and fight much taller and tougher guys and zombies. Kind of ridiculous. I'm not saying that there is bad acting. I think a much bigger problem of the show is the obvious miscast.
Anyway, I'm not as intrigued in the show anymore, so I can conclude: "The 4th Episode of Season 2 was the last of episodes for me."

This show has gone downward. I liked season 1 because of the tense father-daughter relationship between a rough and protective older man on one side and a vulnerable teenager on the other side. This is a good show, I became hooked already during the first episode. Great cast. Drama. Thrill. Action.
There are, however, two things that bother me a bit. The first one, as already mentioned by some reviewers, is the fact that the whole season with so much going on happens within one work shift which is not very believable. I mean, we have some great character development that would normally take several weeks, not couple of hours. We learn everything about family relations of the main characters, even see their family members in the ER, all in one day. We have practically every major social issue, again all happening in just one single day. When there are newcomers at work, it usually takes weeks to know them or make friends with them, but here everyone gets to know all about each other in just a few hours. The second thing that bothered me was the feeling that the writers tried to moralize a bit too much with these social issues.
Nevertheless, I still enjoyed watching the show and I can only recommend it.
