Craig must remove a potentially exploding bullet from a shooting victim. Rosenthal, with her 45th birthday approaching and husband walking out, has a midlife crisis.

A blizzard cripples the city, causing Craig to be MIA. Ehrlich seeks counseling on his relationship with Roberta. A computer hacker breaks into the system, causing problems with patient diagnoses. The roof caves in on Cavanero.

When Morrison loses all hope, Halloran tries to defend him; a tragedy convinces Wyler to leave Boston; Mrs. Hufnagel proposes marriage.

Westphall must find someone to care for his autistic son after his housekeeper quits. The new nurse's aide is a woman who Ehrlich had a sexual encounter with. Caldwell gets attacked at Halloran's home.

The staff members decide to have a Thanksgiving feast with Ehrlich and Craig competing for best turkey. Auschlander considers giving up the fight against cancer. An 11-year old boy is brought in to the hospital with leukemia-like symptoms.

Auschandler considers a risky procedure for Alexis; the rumor Cavanero started comes back to haunt her; Chandler turns in a woman for illegally practicing medicine.

Fed up with the changes imposed by the hospital's new owners, Dr. Westphall resigns from St. Eligius. As he quits, he moons Dr. Gideon.

Turner returns from Mississippi; Chandler is nervous about the status of his relationship with Turner; Auschlander ends up being in the wrong place at the wrong time when he ventures to a property that is owned by the hospital; Craig becomes more irritable after temporarily giving up custody of his granddaughter.

A mentally-disturbed man who thinks that he is the city of Boston roams around the ER. Novino accompanies Westphall to the Doctor of the Year banquet. Craig has an auto breakdown which causes him to miss the awards ceremony. Ehrlich is torn when he gets an offer from Boston General. Axelrod tries being less amenable to other people; the third year residency list is released.

Craig still struggles to accept his college friend's decision to undergo a sex change operation. Armstrong treats a patient with chronic nose bleeds. Chandler's amnesia patient meets with his parents. White tries to reconcile with his wife.

Morrison treats a bag lady with an infection in her feet. Fiscus informs a man that he's been shot. The victim of the bank bombing succumbs to her injuries causing her husband to take action.

A woman is raped outside the hospital. White has trouble adjusting to his new role at the hospital. Cavanero lets her job get in the way of a relationship. After another housekeeper quits, Westphall has trouble finding proper care for Tommy. Craig agrees to be filmed for a documentary.

Dean heads to Florida when Maddy goes into labor; a phone repairman gets shocked in the hospital; Auschlander cancels his own tribute.

Westphall puts his house up for sale; a woman operated on for disfigurement has her bandages removed; Daniels returns to the scene of the crime; Mrs. Hufnagel gets plastic surgery.

Ehrlich and Morrison disagree on how to treat a patient. Daniels is threatened by an unstable patient and by the fact that Cathy Martin may still have feelings for Fiscus. Westphall reluctantly asks Craig to give a lecture to inner city kids.

After giving blood, Caldwell gets some sobering news. Mrs. Endicott decides to go under the knife. Morrison, Fiscus, Clancy and Mona's love lives become entangled.

Everyone in the hospital grows fearful when a patient is diagnosed with AIDS. Ehrlich and Daniels are chosen to coordinate a blood drive.

White is under investigation by the medical board for giving out pills without a prescription. An all-out war erupts between the Irish and Protestants. Cathy Martin becomes infatuated with Dr. Craig and begins sending him anonymous gifts.

Alex Corey is brought back to the hospital to paint a portrait; Chandler does his community service at a crisis hot line and gets a suicidal caller; the Craigs' marriage continues to show strain; Axelrod struggles for self respect; Westphall invites Novino over for dinner.
