The Wheel of Time cast members say goodbye to the show
Image
The other day, we learned that Amazon and Sony had cancelled The Wheel of Time, their epic fantasy show based on the books by Robert Jordan. We were big fans of the show, especially the excellent, recently concluded third season, so this bites.

Maybe the show will get picked up by another network or streaming service, but I wouldn't pin my hopes on it. In the meantime, cast members are starting to pay their respects online. That includes Marcus Rutherford, who played Perrin Aybara. He posted this message of thanks on his Instagram:

Marcus Rutherford thanked all of the people involved in the wheel of time...

‘The Wheel of Time’ Canceled at Amazon’s Prime Video After Three Seasons
Image
The Wheel of Time has been canceled after three seasons at Amazon’s Prime Video streamer.

The series, from Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios and based on Robert Jordan’s best-selling series of fantasy novels, aired its third-season finale on April 17.

At the time, showrunner Rafe Judkins, who adapted the series for television, addressed the show’s uncertain future in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Judkins said he’d been asking Amazon, “What is the end game for the show? I really want to deliver this full series, so how do we best do that?”

He argued that part of why he and his creative team chose Amazon was because the streamer “felt like a place where they do want to invest in shows for the long term. There are not a lot of places doing that anymore. For Wheel of Time, it’s really important for...

Amazon's 'The Wheel of Time' Fantasy Series Canceled After Season 3 Release
Image
The fate of Amazon's fantasy adaptationThe Wheel of Timehas been revealed, and fans of the series will be devastated. Despite Season 3 being the best-reviewed chapter of the show, Amazon has decided to move on due to the nature of its big-budget production. It was the most popular title on Prime Video when it premiered, but the streaming numbers were simply not enough to justify the investment, according to reports.

According to Deadline, The Wheel of Time has been canceled after three seasons. The report claims that the reason was almost entirely finance-related, as the production was still "liked creatively by the streamer’s executives." The Wheel of Time Season 3 premiered earlier this year to widespread acclaim, with critic reviews garnering the fantasy series an excellent 97% Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. According to previous reports, it cost Amazon $250 million to make the first two seasons of the The Wheel of Time.

‘The Wheel of Time’ Canceled After Three Seasons at Amazon Prime Video
Image
“The Wheel of Time” has been canceled after three seasons at Amazon Prime Video.

The fantasy series, based on the book series of the same name by Robert Jordan, followed Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of an incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, who embarks on a global journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity. Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski ) realizes in Season 2 that he is the subject of the prophesy, and in Season 3, competing forces pull him towards both good and evil as Moiraine and Egwene al’Vere (Madeleine Madden) work to keep him on the right path.

Along with Pike, Stradowski and Madden, the cast included Daniel Henney, Zoë Robins, Marcus Rutherford, Dónal Finn, Ceara Coveney, Kate Fleetwood, Natasha O’Keeffe, Ayoola Smart, Kae Alexander and Sophie Okonedo.

‘The Wheel of Time’ Canceled After 3 Seasons at Prime Video
Image
“The Wheel of Time” has run out its run at Prime Video. The Rosamund Pike-led adaptation of the fantasy novel series by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson will not return for Season 4 at the streaming platform, TheWrap has learned.

The news comes after Prime Video announced the renewal of its other big-budget drama series “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” for Season 3. Amid industry contraction, high-budget fantasy dramas seem prone for the chopping block across linear and streaming. “The Wheel of Time” is believed to have been too expensive to justify given its viewership performance.

“The Wheel Of Time” launched strong, becoming Prime Video’s most-watched series premiere of 2021 and one of the platform’s top debuts of all time. Season 3 saw its viewership slip, leaving Nielsen’s top 10 originals chart after three weeks, before making one last appearance after the launch of its finale.

‘The Wheel Of Time’ Canceled By Prime Video After 3 Seasons
Image
Exclusive: Prime Video will not be renewing The Wheel of Time for a fourth season. The decision, which comes more than a month after the Season 3 finale was released April 17, followed lengthy deliberations. As often is the case in the current economic environment, the reasons were financial as the series is liked creatively by the streamer’s executives.

The TV adaptation of the book series by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson, co-produced by Sony Pictures TV and Amazon MGM Studios, is a high-end, pricey fantasy drama, which ushered in the genre on Prime Video, later joined by The Lord Of the Rings: The Rings Of Power.

Starring Rosamund Pike, The Wheel Of Time got off to a strong start in 2021 as Prime Video’s most watched series premiere of the year and one of the platform’s Top 5 series launches of all time.

Three seasons in, the series has remained...

The Wheel of Time composer tells us how he created "The Hills of Tanchico"
La rueda del tiempo (2021)
The third season of The Wheel of Time wrapped up on Prime Video about a month ago. We still don't know whether Amazon and Sony are going to renew the series (although we know they should). While we wait to find out, we're still enjoying this fantastic high fantasy series!

One of the highlights of the season came in the sixth episode, "The Shadow in the Night." Elayne (Ceara Coveney) is among a group of characters who travel to the seaside city of Tanchico, hunting for the Black Ajah. No one knows that Elayne is actually the daughter-heir of Andor. In danger of having her cover blown, Elayne claims to be a bard's apprentice, and launches into a rousing rendition of a song called "The Hills of Tanchico." Watch the scene above!

We got to talk to composer Nikhil Koparkar about how this sequence came together, his work on the show in general,...

The Wheel of Time costume designer breaks down the gorgeous outfits from season 3
Image
The third season of The Wheel of Time wrapped a couple of weeks ago, and while we wait for Prime Video to do the right thing and renew it, there's plenty about the new episodes worth taking a closer look at.

For instance, the costumes in the show are incredible. Sharon Gilham, who came aboard the show in season 2, sat down with Collider for an incredibly deep dive into her process. These are just a few of her insights, beautiful outfit by beautiful outfit.

Gilham and her team made painstakingly beautiful costumes even for scenes that lasted only a few minutes. Early in the season, Egwene (Madeleine Madden) underwent a test to become Accepted among the Aes Sedai. In one of the visions she saw, she was the Amyrlin Seat,...

The Wheel of Time has set up its next major Forsaken villains for season 4
Image
This article contains Spoilers for The Wheel of Time books, up through book 5, The Fires of Heaven.

The third season of The Wheel of Time is at an end, which means it's now time to look ahead. Over the course of eight episodes, Prime Video's fantasy series based on the beloved books by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson blew us away with its ambitious story, spectacular magic, vast cast of memorable characters, and shocking twists and turns. It wasn't only a solid adaptation of Jordan's book The Shadow Rising, but an excellent season of television all around.

So what comes next? The Wheel of Time season 3 laid the groundwork for a number of major plotlines from the fifth and sixth books in the series, The Fires of Heaven and Lord of Chaos. Given that the climactic ending of Lord of Chaos serves as something of a mid-point for the overarching narrative of the books,...

'The Wheel of Time' Showrunner Teases a Very Different Season 4
Image
Not long after The Wheel of Time showrunner likened the series to Game of Thrones in a Season 4 update, Rafe Judkins is back to deliver yet another outlook on the show’s future. The Wheel of Time Season 3 wrapped up in an explosive finale on April 17, “He Who Comes with the Dawn,” but the show has yet to be renewed for Season 4 at Prime Video, despite an extremely positive reception thus far. The fantasy series is based on the popular novels by Robert Jordan, and there’s still plenty of story left to tell. During a recent interview with THR, The Wheel of Time showrunner Rafe Judkins previewed the future of the franchise, promising a different Season 4 if the crew gets the chance to make it, but also citing differences in the TV landscape:

"That is the same thing that I’ve been sort of asking Amazon — what is the end game for the show?...

The Wheel of Time season 3 Episode 8 recap and review: "He Who Comes With The Dawn"
Image
It's been a winding road, but we've arrived at the season finale for The Wheel of Time. Across its third season, Prime Video's epic fantasy show has captured our hearts and blown our minds with its drama, action, ambition, romance and scope. We began in the city of Tar Valon, where the Black Ajah made a bloody escape and our young heroes from Emond's Field went their separate ways. From there we went to the deserts of the Aiel Waste, the forests of the Two Rivers, and the hills of Tanchico. It's been quite a ride, and it's all led to this.

"He Who Comes With The Dawn" is a powerful finale, but it's also the episode I've been anticipating will most divide fans, especially those who have read Robert Jordan's books. Because while this is a rock solid hour of television, it makes bold choices.

Image
This interview contains mild spoilers for later entries The Wheel of Time book series.

The Wheel of Time season 3 is in its final stretch, and we've been loving it. The third season of Prime Video's fantasy series has hit its stride, adapting some of the most memorable moments from Robert Jordan's book The Shadow Rising and giving all our favorite heroes and villains time to settle into their roles. It also introduces a number of new characters who will have a large impact on the story going forward.

For instance, we met the family of Elayne Trakand (Ceara Coveney): Queen Morgase (Olivia Williams), Prince Galad Damodred (Callum Kerr), Prince Gawyn Trakand (Luke Fetherston), and Lord Gaebril (Nuno Lopes), Morgase's consort who harbors a dark secret. Introduced in Episode 302, the royal family of Andor arrived at the White Tower and caused a stir. It was entertaining to watch and...

The Wheel of Time: Callum Kerr talks season 3, Galad's family tree, and Lord Gaebril (Exclusive)
Image
The Wheel of Time is barreling toward the end of its third season, but we're still reeling from the past few weeks of Prime Video's epic fantasy series. Based on the beloved book series by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson, The Wheel of Time is one of the most iconic fantasy sagas of all time. It spans 14 books (and a prequel), with thousands of named characters and bits of lore to keep track of. Season 3 of the TV show introduces a slew of new elements, as well as some faces that fans have been dying to see on screen.

Those introductions began right near the top of the season, when Queen Morgase Trakand (Olivia Williams), the mother of Elayne (Ceara Coveney), came to the White Tower to demand answers for her daughter's abduction last season. Morgase brought the rest of her immediate family with her: her consort Lord Gaebril (Nuno Lopes) and her two sons,...

The Wheel of Time star breaks down that chilling Moghedien scene in Episode 306 (Exclusive)
Image
This article contains Spoilers for The Wheel of Time season 3 Episode 6, "The Shadow in the Night."

The Wheel of Time is deep into its third season, and despite our heroes' best efforts to take a breather this week, the villains had other ideas. Nowhere was that clearer than in Tanchico, where Nynaeve al'Meara (Zoë Robins), Elayne Trakand (Ceara Coveney), Mat Cauthon (Dónal Finn) and Min Farshaw (Kae Alexander) are on the hunt for the Black Ajah. Despite having some success in their search, like digging up a dangerous artifact known as the Domination Band and ferreting out the location of the Black Ajah's hideout, they soon fell afoul of an even more dangerous villain: Moghedien, the sadistic Forsaken sorceress played by Laia Costa.

Moghedien was first introduced at the end of the show's second season, and the anticipation has been high to see her in action. The book on which this season is largely based,...

The sixth episode of The Wheel of Time season 3 is out now on Prime Video, and if you thought it was going to let up, you were mistaken. "It Was Really Wonderful": 'The Wheel of Time' Stars Discuss Aviendha and Elayne's Kiss in Season 3
Image
Tarmon Gai'don is fast approaching and all who hope to stand against the Shadow must be prepared and ready for the fight to come. The Wheel of Time continues to spin, with the Pattern weaving threads as it sees fit. The same can be said for showrunner Rafe Judkins, who has made some alterations to the source material provided by Robert Jordan's writings. Some of these changes have drawn criticism from sections of the fanbase well versed in the original writings. In earlier episodes of Season 3, the show persisted with the changes, one of the biggest being the kiss shared by Aviendha and Elayne.

While Aviendha and Elayne were close in the books, a romance between the pair was never explicitly described. Judkins' The Wheel of Time does and Ayoola Smart, who plays Aviendha on the show, commented on the change in an interview with Screen Rant. “I feel...

How The Wheel of Time is exploring queerness in a fantasy world
Image
The Wheel of Time is chugging along on its third season, which has been getting rave reviews. The TV series adapts Robert Jordan's massive Wheel of Time book series, a sprawling affair that showrunner Rafe Judkins and his team are having to compress to make into a TV show. "We have five billion characters and it feels like there’s never time to do anything," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

Judkins has to pick and choose which aspects of the story to highlight and which to streamline. One thing he's made a point of exploring is the multiplicity of queer relationships on the show, whether it's the life-long love bond between Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) and Siuan Sanche (Sophie Okonedo), the budding relationship between Elayne (Ceara Coveney) and Aviendha (Ayoola Smart), or the polyamosous relationship between the Aes Sedai sorceress Alanna (Priyanka Bose) and her warders Maksim (Taylor Napier) and...

Who are the Sea Folk in The Wheel of Time?
Image
Set sail, fellow Wheel of Time fans! The fifth episode of season 3 is out, and it broadens the scope of the show drastically with new locations, new factions and more. Tanchico! Cold Rocks Hold! The Dream World! The Sea Folk! "Tel'aran'rhiod" has a lot going on, and for fans who've been waiting to see some of these things on screen for a long time, it's a treat.

Today we're going to home in on the Sea Folk. During the new episode, we catch up with Nynaeve (Zoë Robins), Elayne (Ceara Coveney), Mat (Dónal Finn), and Min (Kae Alexander), who are all aboard a Sea Folk ship on its way to Tanchico. The Sea Folk were mentioned before on The Wheel of Time show, back when Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) bartered the sea captain Bayle Domon into giving her a poem about Lanfear during the season 2 premiere. ‘The Wheel of Time’ Season 3, Episode 5 Ending Explained: How Does the Dream World Work?
Image
After glimpses and mentions in the first two season, “The Wheel of Time” Season 3 is finally diving deeper into Tel’aran’rhiod – the Dream World.

The fifth episode of the third season largely focuses on Egwene (Madeleine Madden) learning from Bair (Nukâka Coster-Waldau) and Melaine (Salóme Gunnarsdóttir) how to travel the Dream World. She learns that her uncontrolled thoughts can manifest in different ways in Tel’aran’rhiod – she gets scared and manifests herself in armor – and that any harm done here happens in the waking world.

Egwene is a rare dreamwalker, allowing her greater access to the Dream World when she wishes, but Bair warns her that every time she enters the dream “is to take a risk.” Her power in the world startles the Wise Ones as she vanishes and appears in Dream World Tar Valon where she learns she is being hunted by Lanfear (Natasha O’Keeffe) while she sleeps.

The Wheel of Time season 3 episode 5 review: "Tel'aran'rhiod"
Image
The Wheel of Time is back with the fifth episode of its third season, and it's a major step forward in broadening the scope of this expansive fantasy series. Last week the show tightened focus to cover Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski) and Moiraine Damodred's (Rosamund Pike) journey into the sacred Aiel city of Rhuidean. It stands as the highest-rated episode of the series to date on IMDb with a 9.5/10, and deserves every bit of praise it's getting.

But "The Road to the Spear" was only the halfway point in the season. In this week's episode, "Tel'aran'rhiod," we catch up with many of the characters who didn't get screentime during Rand's millennia-spanning vision quest. From the White Tower to a new Aiel settlement, Tanchico and the high seas, and even the dream world of Tel'aran'rhiod, The Wheel of Time is reminding us that it is a globe-trotting fantasy series that can fill viewers with wonder.

Shohreh Aghdashloo tells us about joining The Wheel of Time, how Elaida differs from The Expanse's Avasarala

The Wheel of Time is in the thick of its third season, and things are heating up for Prime Video's fantasy series. Last week the show aired "The Road to the Spear," its tour de force mid-season episode where Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski) and Moiraine Damodred (Rosamund Pike) journeyed into the mist-covered Aiel city of Rhuidean. There, they each went on separate vision questions: Moiraine saw thousands of horrific possible futures while Rand relived key events in Aiel history through the eyes of his ancestors.

The result was one of the most powerful episodes of The Wheel of Time to date. But the season is just getting warmed up. Since we spent the entirety of "The Road to the Spear" with Rand and Moiraine's party in the Aiel Waste, there will be a lot of other storylines to catch up with when the next episode, "Tel'aran'rhiod," comes out, including...

Prime Video's The Wheel of Time is currently airing the third season of the fantasy series and with it has come the introduction of a number of new characters. Interviews: Rosamund Pike and the cast of The Wheel of Time discuss the epic third season
Robert Jordan
Epic fantasy used to be seen only on the big screen, but over the last decade, we have seen massive productions based on books, video games, and more. Based on the long-running series by author Robert Jordan, The Wheel of Time has become a stalwart for Prime Video, with the third season set to be the biggest and most epic yet.

The plot of season three, per Prime Video: “After defeating Ishamael, one of the most powerful of the Forsaken, at the end of Season Two, Rand reunites with his friends in the city of Falme and is declared the Dragon Reborn. But in Season Three, the threats against the Light are multiplying: the White Tower stands divided, the Black Ajah runs free, old enemies return to the Two Rivers, and the remaining Forsaken are in hot pursuit of the Dragon… including Lanfear, whose relationship with Rand will mark a...

The Wheel of Time season 3 episode 4 review: "The Road to the Spear"
Image
Last week, The Wheel of Time kicked off its third season with a block of three rock-solid episodes. This season of Prime Video's fantasy show is primarily adapting The Shadow Rising, one of the most acclaimed books in Robert Jordan's series. So far, it's living up to that high bar. Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski) headed out into the Aiel Waste with his allies to earn the allegiance of the Aiel people; Perrin Aybara (Marcus Rutherford) headed home to the Two Rivers to find the once peaceful village under siege from Trollocs and Whitecloaks; and Mat Cauthon (Dónal Finn), Nynaeve al'Meara (Zoë Robins) and Elayne Trakand (Ceara Coveney) set off to the seedy port city of Tanchico to hunt the Black Ajah. A lot's going on this season, and that's not even getting into the shadowy schemes of the Forsaken.

Since Prime Video likes to drop the first three episodes...

3 things in The Wheel of Time season 3 that are working well (and 2 that aren't)
Image
The third season of The Wheel of Time is off to a fantastic start on Prime Video. The streaming service released three episodes last week, and they didn’t disappoint.

Although the show is scrambling the events from Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time book series a bit, these episodes did a good job of making that change relatively seamless without losing any momentum built up during the action-packed finale to season 2.

Without focusing too much on the differences between the books and the show, audiences can appreciate the visual smorgasbord the show delivers with aplomb. So far, The Wheel of Time is a prime example of how a quality fantasy story can be told on the small screen.

The Wheel of Time season 3 episode 3 recap and review: Liandrin reveals her plan
Image
The Wheel of Time season 3 episode 3, “Seeds of Shadow,” is the best episode of the season to date, and it begins with some major reveals and incredible scheming on the part of Lanfear, Sammael, and Rahvin, who is playing his part quite well.

Let’s talk about what happened in the third episode of season 3!

Lord Gaebril is actually Rahvin, one of the Forsaken

“Seeds of Shadow” begins with Lanfear (Natasha O’Keeffe), Sammael, and Lord Gaebril (Nuno Lopes) meeting to discuss an alliance to help the Dark One’s mission after the death of Ishamael in the season 2 finale. The Wheel of Time season 3 episode 2 recap and review: To the Aiel Waste
Image
In the explosive premiere of The Wheel of Time season 3, Rand and Moiraine begin their journey to the Aiel Waste instead of Tear with Egwene, Lan, and Aviendha in tow. Meanwhile, the rest of those in Tar Valon and beyond deal with the fallout of the Black Ajah’s attack on The White Tower.

The Wheel of Time season 3 episode 2, "A Question of Crimson," begins many years earlier as the Queen of Andor, Morgase of House Trakand (Olivia Williams), murders those who would challenge her throne at Elaida Sedai’s (Shohreh Aghdashloo) urging. You might recognize the Trakand name because Morgase is actually Elayne’s mom.

Queen Morgase arrives in Tar Valon

Shortly after, Queen Morgase arrives in Tar Valon with the Prince Consort of the Queen, Lord Gaebril (Nuno Lopes) and Elaida Sedai of the Red Ajah, along with Elayne’s Prince brothers. After scoring a few moments with the Amyrlin Seat,...

The Wheel of Time's Ceara Coveney and Ayoola Smart tell us about That Avienda/Elayne moment
Image
The third season of The Wheel of Time is here at last, and it's easily the most thrilling start for a season the show has had yet. Across its first three episodes, The Wheel of Time season 3 introduces us to a slew of new characters, evolves relationships for those we know and love, and sets the stage for an intense journey ahead. This season is largely based on The Shadow Rising, one of the most well-loved books in Robert Jordan's iconic fantasy series, and the show will get darker and more complex to match the shifting tone of events.

Two characters we caught up with in the premiere are Elayne Trakand, the daughter-heir of Andor played by Ceara Coveney; and Aviendha, the Aiel Maiden of the Spear played by Ayoola Smart. These characters didn't spend a single scene together in season 2, but book-readers know they've got quite an intertwined road together.

Image
The first three episodes of The Wheel of Time are out now on Prime Video, bringing viewers back into the vivid fantasy world of Robert Jordan's beloved book series. We've been poring over them this morning, because these are three very full episodes. The first, "To Race the Shadow," saw all hell break lose in Tar Valon as the sisters of the Black Ajah made good their escape, before Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski) and the rest of our heroes went their separate ways. The second, "A Question of Crimson," delved into the complicated politics of the White Tower as Queen Morgase (Olivia Williams) and her advisor Elaida (Shohreh Aghdashloo) arrived on the scene to demand answers of the Amyrlin Seat, Siuan Sanche (Sophie Okonedo).

Now we've arrived at the final episode of the premiere block: "Seeds of Shadow." And just as the name implies, this episode gives the show's...

The Wheel of Time Season 3 Is the Best Yet! Thrilling and Immersive!
Image
The Wheel of Time simply keeps getting better and better! The first season was entertaining, but you could see how Prime Video was finding its footing in the classic fantasy genre—almost using the Robert Jordan series as a test balloon with The Lord of the Rings television adaptation coming down the pike (pun intended).

Star Rosamund Pike led the way, keeping viewers’ interest through a bumpy but very entertaining freshman season. Then, the second season focused on the supporting cast, creating greater adventures, enthralling action, and a wholly immersive experience unlike any fantasy television series we have ever seen.

Now, the third season is a game-changer—full of clever twists, turns and shadowy tricks that keep viewers on the edge of their seats! With an exciting and suspenseful season premiere and an ominously powerful finale, The Wheel of Time proves it keeps getting better with each passing season.

The Wheel of Time season 3 is the fantasy TV event of the year (and a good adaptation of The Shadow Rising)
Image
This week, The Wheel of Time returns for its third season on Prime Video. Based on the iconic fantasy book series by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson, The Wheel of Time is a sweeping epic with a massive cast of heroes, villains, and characters who fall somewhere in between. It's a fantasy saga with a capital F, and its highly anticipated third season should be high on the watch list for any fan of genre television this year. The Wheel of Time has improved with each season, and this time around it's bigger and more ambitious than ever before.

At the heart of the saga is Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski), a reincarnated savior known as the Dragon Reborn, who must gather allies to his side in order to face off against the ominous Dark One. But Rand isn't fighting this battle alone. While Rand and his Aes Sedai mentor Moiraine...

The Wheel of Time producers explain why they're cutting a huge bit from the books (for now)
Image
The third season of The Wheel of Time will air soon on Prime Video. So far, it's looking terrific. Trailer? Epic. First 11 minutes? Fire. Source material? Best in show. The runway is set for this epic fantasy series to take off.

There are 14 books in The Wheel of Time book series, and the TV show has had to make some cuts as the story transitions from page to screen. In general, I think showrunner Rafe Judkins has made smart choices when it comes to picking what to cut and streamline; he's clearly a fan who's keeping the long game in mind.

For instance, at this point in the book series, lead character Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski) should make his way towards a fortress called the Stone of Tear, where he lays claim to a legendary sword called Callandor. That happens at the end of the third book in the series,...

The Wheel of Time's Marcus Rutherford and Dónal Finn promise "pivotal" book moments in season 3
Image
The Wheel of Time season 3 is just around the corner, and the hype is off the charts. Season 3 is based on The Shadow Rising, widely considered one of the best novels in Robert Jordan's iconic fantasy book series. Some pretty big events happen in this part of the story, and The Wheel of Time TV show is signaling to fans that it's rising to the occasion with an extensive marketing campaign, cast interviews, trailers, and a thrilling sneak peak at the blood-drenched opening minutes of season 3.

We recently participated in a press junket with several members of the cast, and they did a pretty great job of getting us excited for what lies ahead. Rosamund Pike (Moiraine) and Josha Stradowski (Rand) talked up the "psychedelic" fourth episode of the season, which will take viewers to the mystical Aiel city of Rhuidean. Daniel Henney (Lan) and Sophie Okonedo (Siuan Sanche...
