The Wheel of Time actor Luke Fetherston didn't realize he was auditioning to play one of the most disliked characters in the series. He recently opened up about how he approached the role once he realized his fate.

Fetherston plays Gawyn Trakand, the royal prince of Andor, and brother to Galad and Elayne, in The Wheel of Time Season 3. The handsome and skilled fighter has become largely disliked by fans of Robert Jordan's high fantasy novels, largely because of his cutthroat decisions and flawed thinking. Fetherston recently spoke with Screen Rant about what it was like auditioning for the part without knowing the character's reputation. "Firstly, I didn't know that I was auditioning for Gawyn and Galad. It was all kind of code names," he said.
