Netflix is cordially inviting you to the royal anime event of the year. Today, the streamer decided to announce the release date of The Rose of Versailles with the two main characters front and center. The story centers around Oscar François de Jarjayes (voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro) and Archduchess Marie Antoinette (Aya Hirano) as they go about their royal commitments in the 18th century. While the Archduchess is falling in love with the French scenery and culture, she also starts to have contact with lower-ranking individuals who have their own struggles and battles to deal with. The anime movie is set to premiere next week, on April 30.
