HBO’s ‘The Last of Us’ keeps surprising us with bold casting choices, and Season 2, Episode 4 delivers a jaw-dropping moment. Josh Peck, best known for his comedic role in ‘Drake & Josh,’ steps into the gritty post-apocalyptic world of the show. His brief appearance as a Fedra soldier named Janowitz is anything but lighthearted, leaving viewers stunned.

The episode opens with a flashback to 2018, set in Seattle’s quarantine zone, a chaotic place five years after the Cordyceps outbreak. Peck’s character rides in an armored truck with other Fedra soldiers, including Isaac Dixon, played by Jeffrey Wright. Janowitz is no hero. He’s a crass, unlikable soldier who brags about mistreating civilians, mockingly called ‘voters’ because they’ve lost all rights. His dark story about a fellow soldier’s brutal actions sets a grim tone, far from the goofy charm Peck brought to Nickelodeon.
