What a beautiful movie with one or two nicely spottable eastereggs, if you know your movies. Pierce Brosnan delivers an amazing performance and definitely should get an award, together with the makeup department, which did a great job in aging him. The movie awaits you with a double twist, you should see it for yourself, keep some tissues ready. A must see, in my opinion, if you're into movies with underdogs trying to fulfil a last honourable task.

Don't expect some Private Ryan here, even though WW2 seems to be the backstory. This one is more heart-warming, but heartbreaking the same time.

Most critics will underrate this movie, but you'll miss a very well acted little gem, if you listen to them.

I don't understand the poor ratings and bad reviews. Honestly, i prefer this series, rather than KRYPTON or LEGENDS OF TOMORROW. Those are crap. I can see, why people don't like this one, but all the complains aren't legitime. The FX aren't bad as some say. They're at least as good as in other superhero series. And the characters are likely. I would definetely watch a second season, but sadly enough, that's obviously not going to happen. So this one will vanish in the one-season-nirvana, like the good FOREVER or the also good HARDBALL...god, do i miss HARDBALL.....but i'm drifting off...

Give it a try...it is not that bad. In fact you might like it.

All friends of Stranger Things will instantly feel the vibes. From the start, this movie delivers the right feeling that all of us who grew up in the 80s like and miss in todays films. The setting and the soundtrack do the rest to fulfill instant eighties-mood. A nice piece that's worth a watch.
