Liverpool Transfer News: £12 Million Andriy Yarmolenko Bid Made
Liverpool’s busy day of transfers might not yet be done. The Anfield side have already confirmed the permanent signings of Tiago Ilori and Mamadou Sakho, as well as the season long loan signing of Chelsea forward Victor Moses, and it seems they may be looking at more options.
According to Metro, Brendan Rodgers’ side have submitted a £12million bid for Ukrainian star Andriy Yarmalenko, who plays for Dinamo Kiev, and who Ukrainian national coach Oleg Blohkin has called “unstoppable”. They say that Liverpool are closing in on the deal, though the figure suggested is a stark contradiction to the reported bid of €23m (£19.7m) that The Express said they had made last night.
Rodgers may face competition from AC Milan, who have been credited with long-standing interest in the striker, not least by his own agent who said his client wants to follow in the footsteps of compatriot Andriy Shevchenko in Italy.
