Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., has received a wave of backlash for making fun of Joe Biden’s family in the wake of the former president’s prostate cancer diagnosis.
On May 18, Biden’s office announced that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer that had spread to his bones and was consulting physicians about the next steps forward. An expert confirmed that Biden was suffering from “the most aggressive” form of cancer. Following the statement, Biden posted a photo of himself and Jill to X, writing in the caption, “Cancer touches us all.”
Hours following the office statement, Trump Jr. reposted a statement on X saying, “politics aside, we wish him a speedy recovery,” writing, “Agree 100%.”
