In Mujigun, a rural village, Im Sang-mi's family moves from Seoul and gets stranded during a storm. Mysterious figures in black approach them as a cult led by Baek Jeong-ki gains power, leading to a struggle against the sinister forces.
With cult leader Baek Jeong-ki's help, Lim Sang-mi's family leaves their old home and connects with Guseonwon residents. At school, Sang-mi faces challenges when her brother is bullied, seeking help from Han Sang-hwan, who refuses.
Dong-cheol goes to the police station for an investigation into Sang-jin's death, accompanied by delinquents. Sang-hwan fights to clear Dong-cheol's name while Im Joo-ho seeks revenge on the delinquents who killed his son.
After losing her son Sang-jin, Kim Bo-eun faces mental instability. Despite hr husband, Im Joo-ho's efforts to help her recover, she gets worse. With Baek Jeong-ki's influence, Sang Mi's dad becomes heavily involved in the Guseonwon cult.
Sang-mi puts her life on the line to escape Gu-seon-won with Jeong-gu. However, a shocking incident takes place before her very eyes. Meanwhile, Dong-cheol is about to be released after a three year prison sentence.
A small voice cries out "Help me." Sang-hwan begins to chase after Gu-seon-won after hearing this voice which is from Sang-mi. Meanwhile, Dong-cheol, who has just been released from prison, starts a new life to earn money.
Im Joo Ho joins the Gu Seon Won cult to protect his daughter Sang Mi from evil spirits. Baek Jeong Gi prepares for Sang Mi to become a spiritual vessel, while Sang Hwan tries hard to connect with the emotionally distant Dong Cheol.
It's the villagers vs. the cult in a serious struggle to save Sang-mi. Dong-cheol and his friends are entangled in a power struggle with higher ups of the village of Mujigun.
