Queen Of Tears was my first ever k-drama and it was worth it.

I would happily rate it: 10/10 despite imperfections!

• Context:

Kdramas have always been on my radar, I tried one a few years ago but found it pathetic and discontinued. Last year, my friend recommended this to me. I started watching but again discontinued after the first episode. Somehow I restarted it a few weeks ago, and BOOM--- It's one of my MOST FAVOURITE shows of all time now.

• Premise:

So it's the story of Hae-in and Hyun-woo. Both of them love each other and get married. Hae-in handles a huge part of her billionaire family business and Hyun-woo lives in her house with her family (almost like an outsider).

Things deteriorate so badly between them that they dislike each other so much, so much so that Hyun-woo wants to divorce her.

So the story follows these two questions: 1) If they loved each other so much, what exactly happened between them that led to this state (the past is gradually revealed beautifully) 2) We know they are gonna fall for each other again, but the question is How? (Wait for a lot of twist and turns)

Ironically, this show is said to be a Rom-Com. But it's the most emotional show I've ever watched. Well yes, the first few episodes flirt with comedy, but later ones were emotional rollercoasters!

• What I loved about this show:

1) The performances and casting: Every actor fitted their roles and gave a decent performance (well sometimes it got over the top though). But, two people win our hearts: Kim Ji-Won (Hae in) and Kim Soo-Hyun (Hyun-woo). They both were TERRIFIC in their roles. Perfect casting! They felt like a real life couple and many times in the show, I was longing for them to kiss and whenever they did, I felt good xD (Pure serotonin). Well, their comic performances could be debated but the emotional ones? Both nailed it! The main antagonist Park Sung-Hoon (Yoon Sung) was very good too. Although he acted like a typical villain, it was convincing.

2) The music: Am I supposed to even say anything? The music and the songs are so beautiful that I've added most of them in my playlist.

The show followed a musical storytelling just like Indian movies or Bollywood, and I absolutely loved it (initially it was quite annoying but I ended up loving it). My most favourite song: Tell Me It's Not A Dream.

3) Cinematography: One of the most beautifully shot shows. It looked like a well produced modern movie with an episodic format.

4) Character Development: This is the hallmark of a very good content! I hadn't expected to connect to so many characters (I hated some in the beginning). I even sympathized the villain in the end. This is what separates good content from mediocre ones. Side characters ain't there just to push the narrative by uttering a few dialogues, they are there to contribute to it. Yes, they won't get the major focus like the leads but they are humans nonetheless and have their own mini stories going on.

• Emotional impact:

Well, these are the reasons I fell in love with this show. It was beautiful, cute and emotional as hell. It's been a few weeks since I finished it and I'm still grieving it (Yes I'm very emotional lol).

• A few considerations:

1) If you're reading this review and super excited to watch this show, mind you, the first few episodes ain't great. They are just "good" at best. But, but, but-- the way it unfolds, at around 6-7th episode, it grabs such an interesting element, it just goes off the roof. You won't be able to stop yourself from binge-watching (trust me). So have some patience. It's a slow burning show.

2) I'm new to korean content that's why some things were foreign to me. The weird facial expressions and the exaggerated body language during comic scenes were very weird and honestly cringey initially.

3) It was quite difficult for me to recognise faces in the first few episodes because they all looked quite the same. But I got used to it later on.

Well, even with some alien experiences, if it could touch my heart, then it says a lot about this show.

So yeah, I would happily put this show at the second position (for now). The first one will always be Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma for me (I don't think anything will ever replace it).

So yeah, I'm so glad that I loved it. I'm looking forward for more.

Bhool Bhulaiya (2007) was a masterpiece. It was almost perfect in all the film-making departments. Fast forward to 2024, and here, we have an unrelated third installment, Bhool Bhulaiya 3 and sadly, it's way too pathetic.

I'd rate this movie: 3.5/10, very bad to below average.

The cons of the movie that ruined it:

• Story: The most important part of this movie, the story, is so so bad! There was no thrill, no engagement, nothing!! The twist in the ending wasn't that much of a big deal either.

• Acting: The actors had one of the worst performances of their careers. Kartik Aryan tried too hard to be Akshay Kumar but sorry kartik, your acting was equally bad, as bad as Akshay Kumar's recent movie choices. Kartik and Tripti, the two main leads, were average in their performances, or perhaps extremely bad. Surprisingly, Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan were horrible! The director of this movie wanted them to be overacting as much as possible throughout the entire movie. All the other decent actors were similarly awful.

• The Humor and The Horror: It was supposed to be a Horror Comedy, but I didn't laugh at a single joke, nor was I scared even for a millisecond. The jokes were terrible and it was too much of a forced comedy.

• The Bengali Accent: My god! The Bengali accent was sooo bad! You could have just casted real Bengali actors, why did you have to cringe the audience with those pathetic accents?

• The Songs: The songs were terrible. Not a single song makes you wanna hear it twice, or even once. I thought the "Hare Ram Krishna" song would be good and catchy, but man! They ruined that too! Btw, bgm was pretty decent.

• The Love Story: What was that? They haven't moved on from those 90s cliches yet? I've emptied my stock of words, I don't know how else to vent the frustration.

The tagline of this movie: "Am I supposed to laugh?"

The only good thing about the movie is I laughed at the scary scenes that were supposed to be taken seriously (I guess)

The main motive of the makers was to find a way to ruin Bhool Bhulaiya and get decent actors to do overacting as much as possible!

If this movie succeeds, I don't know what more to expect from Indian audience and bollywood.

I don't have words to express my love for this and infinity war!

I agree that infinity war was much better than this, but I think some of the "serious" or "boring" moments in this movie was needed to explore the consequences of The Blip.

Anyway, even as a standalone movie, it's too good: A group of superheros go back in time to undo the actions of a mad titan.

Moreover, as a movie that is linked to multiple other movies and serves as a conclusion, it's one of the best things that's happened to cinema! It's the best in every aspect. It's emotionally intense and visually rich.

It's almost guaranteed that you're gonna get goosebumps in the climax!

Infinity War and Endgame are one of the best movies of all time and you can't miss them!

I'd highly recommend you to start watching The MCU from Iron Man and you're gonna fall in love with the two movies mentioned above.

If you ain't very familiar with MCU, don't watch. It'll leave you being confused and you'll end up disliking it.
