Dementia 13
Back in the early days (1963), when Francis Ford Coppola was a fledgling director and Roger Corman was churning out movies by the dozens for the drive-ins of America, Corman gave Coppola his first big break with Dementia 13. A haunted house movie replete gothic atmosphere, this low-budget thriller was a stepping stone for one of the great directors of the 20th century.
Fast forward to 2017, and this low-budget thriller is getting a hefty remake. While the poster art of the new version lacks the pizzazz of the original, the trailer suggests that it's chock-full of the chills and thrills we got from the original. If only we could go see it at the drive-in! — Michael
