Upcoming Superhero TV Show Announcement of the Week
If you're looking for another gritty antihero drama (a la "The Punisher" and "Preacher") to add to your Watchlist, then we’ve got good news for you. Amazon Studios has given the green light to the live-action adaptation of Garth Ennis’ ("Preacher," "Constantine") ultraviolent superhero comic "The Boys," with "Supernatural" showrunner Eric Kripke heading the series. "The Boys" focuses on a group of vigilantes tasked with monitoring and taking down the growing number of fame-corrupted superheroes who exist in the world. As the original comic-book series was dropped from its first publisher because of its extreme content, we are interested to see how much of the source material makes it to the screen. We’re keeping close watch on this one!
