Yes, Hulu is great for watching all the recent shows, however Hulu also has an extensive back catalog full of goodies and must-see tv. This list tries to focus on stuff that may lie a bit off the beaten path and currently isn't streaming elsewhere (I think!)
and please let me know if there's anything you'd like to share / recommend...
