
Cloverfield 2 | Monster sequel still happening, says director Avak Anvari

The director of Under The Shadow, Avak Anvari, has offered a brief update on his long-awaited monster movie sequel, Clovefield 2.
Since Matt Reeves’ Cloverfield arrived in a blitz of viral marketing back in 2008, a couple of films have followed bearing the same name, existing in the same universe.
The 2016 sci-fi thriller 10 Cloverfield Lane was retrofitted into becoming a Cloverfield film in post-production, while Paramount lost confidence in The Cloverfield Paradox and sold it to Netflix instead of releasing it in cinemas. There’s also talk early last year that David Robert Mitchell’s upcoming (and very secretive) Flowervale Street might be a secret Cloverfield movie, though that’s pure conjecture on our part.
