If witchcraft is your thing, you might want to check out Luna Nera. It's not perfect, but it has a lot going for it as well. The athmosphere is authentic, you can relate to the characters and obviously italian is a beautiful language to listen to. Main points of criticism for me were sound and sound editing and the fact that it's an open ending. Some of the writing could be better as wel, but all in all I enjoyed watching this show.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is another visual Luc Besson masterpiece. His style is so recognizable and, for those who have seen The Fifh Eelement, will feel very familiar.
Main downside for me was the acting. I didn't think it was bad acting, but the main characters lacked some empathy and I wasn't really convinced by the chemistry between them. Once again in comparison to The Fifth Element: they were no Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich.
However, despite the duration of the movie (137 min), I never got bored or annoyed. In my opinion it's a visually very beautiful and entertaining movie.

War for the planet of the apes is the third part of the latest Planet of the Apes franchise, which, if you have to believe the reviews, is either a masterpiece or a complete load of crap.
After watching the movie, I find myself in a more neutral position. What I like the most about this movie is the incredible CGI and, if I may say so, the humour. In my opinion, both 'Dawn' and 'Rise' where rather dramatic. War isn't exactly a comedy either, but it has way more winks and gimmicks in it that, even though the apes are fighting for survival, allows for a smile here and there. On the other hand, it's not a Pulitzer prize winning story, so the plot isn't that astonishing and you have to agree to disagree here and there. In my opinion though, the pro's outweighed the con's, so all in all, I enjoyed this movie.
