CONDENSED VERSION. The original vision of this film was a character study. This condensed version concentrates on the CIA origins, and less Edward Wilson’s (Matt Damon) personal life.
2001: The Remix. What if Kubrick didn't use 'canned' music of famous classic songs and used a more modern soundtrack? Music from many leading ambient artists turn this classic film into an entirely new experience. Blu Ray.
Condensed Version. Just the good stuff. Blu Ray.
CONDENSED version. Peter Jackson is a great filmmaker, but 3 hours starts to make your butt numb. Come on Peter - Kong goes ice skating? Blu Ray.
CONDENSED VERSION: 75% Less Jar Jar! More Pod Race Action! Less Bad bad Dialogue! Blu Ray.
CONDENSED VERSION: Less dull political dialogue! Less sappy romance! Blu Ray.
CONDENSED VERSION. I am a fan of the original Tron. The sequel got bogged down in long speeches and Jeff Bridges being too much 'dude'. This edited version cuts to the nice looking effects and action. Blu Ray.
CONDENSED VERSION, with less boring monologues by side characters, along with the sleepy "life in Zion" scenes. Cut to the chase! Blu Ray.
Condensed Version. (prolonged dialogue retracted). Blu Ray.
ACTION CUT. Edited down from an over-bloated 2 hour movie to a 95 minute all-action thrill ride. Sure, if this movie was made with any real intelligence, it would belong in the War movie category. But it really is about the great dogfight scenes, and they rock. Blu Ray.
"Special" Version. The glaring flaw is the female lead, a model named Ariane, who had no acting experience. This version I have taken out as much of her without damaging the plot. With a script by Oliver Stone, and incredible cinematography about the Chinese underworld, this film is worth a look. Gritty, rich in texture and details, it is a violent and captivating. Blu Ray.
ACTION CUT. Below the bar in entertaining characters, but ILM's effects still are top notch. All the padding removed. Blu Ray.
Condensed Version. NBC Mini-series recorded on VHS in EP mode. I edited down the 3 hour run time to a little under 2 hours, removing soap opera-ish subplots that had no effect on the main plot. Movie itself feels like a precursor to "24", another emergency crisis center style of script.
CONDENSED VERSION. A well put together thriller with smart acting, decent action and effects. A little too much time is spent going over the nuts and bolts of operating a submarine. Glacial pacing is tightened up. Blu Ray.
CONDENSED VERSION. Kevin Costner was a co-producer of this film, and maybe it was his idea that JFK and RFK couldn't think for themselves, and his character Kenny O'Donnell as their special assistant controlled their decision-making. This drew ire on it's release, with extended domestic scenes of Costner making the runtime bloated and turning the political drama melodramatic. This edit concentrates on just Cuban Missile Crisis.
CONDENSED VERSION. The slow pace of the setup of a terrorist attack on the super bowl is trimmed. Bruce Dern steals the screen as a mentally disturbed blimp pilot.
Condensed Version. Slightly less snark.
ACTION CUT. Actually based on a suggestion I read in a review. The review said that if all the fluff was removed between the car chases it would be a better movie. Since this movie broke the 2 hour rule, I whittled it down to a tolerable 1 hour 40 min. Since the movie is based on a video game, I removed some blue to give it an "other world" look.
RE-EDITED AND REMIXED. Noting the current popularity of movies about being stranded in space, I couldn't pass up one of the original 'potential' nail-biters from the 1960s. Made before the Apollo 13 mission, this by-the-numbers look at a last minute rescue mission to save 3 astronauts in space is given the "Gravity" treatment. Music from the movie, along with soundtrack excerpts from other pulse-pounding movies, replaces the droning tones used when showing shots of outer space. Trimmed from over 2 hours to a more reasonable 1 hour 49 minutes.
CONDENSED VERSION. With it's cavalcade of stars, this schmaltzy event film was bloated to over 2 hours with extra melodrama added. This fluff had little to do with the main plot of a bomber on a plane. Many interesting real-world details about running airports and dealing with airplane emergencies makes for a tense and exciting shorter version. Blu Ray.
CONDENSED VERSION. Complaints that the film was too long, with slow pacing are addressed. This cut runs under 2 hours (not including credits) and fills in areas without any music. New music and other edits help add more emotion to a stoic Ryan Gosling. Blu Ray.
Remix with Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon. The famous synchronization is mixed as a blend between the original soundtrack and the iconic album. Blu Ray.
Clocking in over two hours, a subplot about locusts (which has nothing to do with dinosaurs) forced other completed scenes of cool dinosaur attacks on the cutting room floor. This version restores those attack scenes and excises the locusts. Blu Ray.
Originally re-edited for TV, then shown in HD on cable, this chronological version of Godfather I & II has never been released on Blu Ray. Includes deleted scenes. Blu Ray.
Re-edited into chronological order. Key scenes from "Darkest Hour" are added to show how the crisis was being handled back in England.
