Saw 4-12-17, excellent, vy kitschy!
4-7-17 Excellent, saw last year too on 11-28-16
4-7-17 very good, saw last year too
4-4-18 Lexington Flick, excellent
4-2-17 excellent. Also 12-30-17
4-1-17 excellent, also saw 40+ years ago. Again 7-26-17
4-13-18 I very sad in beginning watching it but very good
4-14-18 Interesting but don’t know why it got extremely high reviews on IMDb & RT
4-14-8 Excellent. Dad was 13 yrs old. Little did the world know what was in store in just a few years. God how I wish I’d asked Dad about his war years.
4-14-17 very good 5-7-18 excellent, so funny, but I’m concerned that while I thought it looked familiar I really didn’t remember seeing it. Maybe I just see too many.
4-17-16 excellent. Also 2-18-17
4-22-18 just “ok”. First 3/4 film the sound was about a minute behind the action (on TCM)
4-23-18 good, esp last 45 minutes
4-26-18 very funny, so dated. Last 15 minutes a bit over dramatic
12-3-17 in Centennial, CO with awc, aly & her folks. 12-25-22 also in Centennial while visiting Anne/Dave before going to Carol Child’s -Dave’s mom
5-6-18 (3-26-20: see in my journal that I saw 12-17-16; probably didn’t remember)
5-11-18 Had wanted to see this ever since brother Dwight Hall talked about it when it was being made. He knew (distantly related?) the Batchelder family who were very wealthy & their house was one of those in the film. Don’t think I ever met any of them but know one of their daughters, Dale B., was about my age.
5-14-18 good but long & typical Hollywood Disneyfication of true story. I’m sure Mom took me to see this in the theater (I remember the Knick knack song from then) but don’t know how I could possibly have sat through entire film.
5-17-18 saw the TCM 60 minute version, it was just ok. 1-10-21 saw full 98 min version on TCM, better. In Steamboat
5-21-18 TCM screwed up: only showed 60 minutes.
5-23-18 Woburn, very good but I not that into Marvel comics
5-23-18 good but too much music
5-31-18 very good. In Westport alone @ Adam Guild’s house Howland Rd. (There for Teg Gebhard’s mom’s funeral)
6-4-18 Woburn Showcase Cinema. Chick flick but pretty funny! I’d give at least a 7.5
6-6-18 good but somewhat confusing twists & turns
6-12-18 excellent & 3-23-17. Bogart’s 1st movie
6-13-18 very good, also known as Obsession (on TCM)
9-22-17 & again on 6-14-18 very good
6-18-18 & 3-9-15 Wob $2 “silver screen”, very good
6-21-18 & 12-21-20 and remembered nothing. In Centennial
Finished watching 6-24-18. Wow, what a downer...but wonderful acting
