This has long been not only my favorite Baseball film, but also my favorite sports film period. The only other top contender in my mind for best sports film ever is Raging Bull, though you could even say that it's more of a biopic than a sports film really. 9/10
The greatest of all the real classic Baseball films. An amazing story about a real life legendary man and player known as, The Iron Horse. 8.5/10
Simply great....what a powerful film.
"From now on, I rag nobody"
One of my all time favorite Tom Hanks roles. Overall, a great story. 8/10
Fernando Nation is a must see documentary for any Baseball lover. Well perhaps not if you hate the Dodgers. Otherwise, check this out. 8/10
Tommy Lee Jones seems here to be the perfect guy to play the infamous and legendary Tyrus Raymond Cobb. 7.5/10
In my view, this is much, much better than it's IMDb rating. Quite a few critics liked it too. It's not a typical sports film, it's an interesting story I'd say. 7.5/10
I think it would be fair to call this a cult film to some degree. It really will work best for a certain audience. If you like offbeat films and baseball, this is something you'll almost definitely enjoy. 7/10
Levinson and Redford combine to create a memorable film. 7/10
As far as screwball comedies go, this one is pretty darn good. 7/10
