Plot: This recut version of Francis Ford Copolla's third Godfather film follows Michael Corleone, now in his 60s, as he seeks to free his family from crime and find a suitable successor to his empire.
Our Take: Confession time: I've never watched The Godfather: Part III. I hold the first two films in such high regard that I never felt compelled to watch the oft-maligned sequel (although its IMDb user rating of 7.6 is respectable). But since it's been years (decades?) since I watched parts 1 & 2, this new director's cut may be a perfect excuse to start again from the beginning. — James
