"Star Wars: Skeleton Crew" episode 1 begins with an unfortunate space pirate raid, but soon moves away from the action. The majority of the episode is spent introducing the central quartet of youngsters and the secluded world they live in, only sending them into hyperspace at the very end. 

Episode 2, on the other hand, fills the kids' and the viewers' eyes and ears with the wonders and horrors of the galaxy. it focuses on Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers), Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), Kb (Kyriana Kratter), and Neel (Robert Timothy Smith) adjusting to their new situation, meeting new characters, and exploring new places. From the mysterious Onyx Cinder spaceship and its irritable droid first mate Sm-33 (voiced by Nick Frost) to the sordid space station they all end up on, the main characters get to experience new corners of the "Star Wars" galaxy along with the viewer.

The Mandalorian is undoubtedly the best Star Wars series to date. Created by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, it became a huge hit worldwide thanks to its great story, casting, and loyalty to the original Star Wars lore. The series is currently on a break, with a sequel movie in the works.

While Mando and Grogu are the main focus, one of the standout secondary characters is Greef Karga, whose character development is exceptional. Sadly, Karga’s story will come to an end as the actor Carl Weathers, who played him, passed away on February 2, 2024.

Although there’s a chance Karga could be recast, it doesn’t seem like Lucasfilm plans to do so. The Mandalorian has just released a special featurette in honor of Carl Weathers, which will be included in the series’ upcoming home media releases.

The promo for Chicago Fire winter premiere dropped shortly after the fall finale on Wednesday. It didn't give too much away in terms of plot, but it did place emphasis on Pascal and his leadership. Elle Fanning is known for being a chameleon actress, but for the upcoming “Predator” franchise installment “Predator: Badlands,” the star had to transform into multiple roles.

Director Dan Trachtenberg told Empire that Fanning was pushed “dramatically, physically, [and] logistically” during production.

“She faced intense challenges on this movie — dramatically, physically, logistically,” Trachtenberg said.

While the details of “Predator: Badlands” are still under wraps, we do know that Trachtenberg and Patrick Aison were behind the story for “Badlands,” with Aison penning the screenplay. The feature will be released by 20th Century Studios and is set in the future.

Trachtenberg previously directed “Predator” prequel “Prey,” which debuted on Hulu. “Prey” took place in 1719 and followed an Indigenous woman (Amber Midthunder) who fought for survival against alien invaders.

Trachtenberg told Empire that “Predator: Badlands” will instead have the alien creature “front and center, leading the charge” for the follow-up.

However, the company is still keeping it up with special 4K steelbook releases for some top Disney+ shows. A wave of them hit in 2023 but today Disney announced a new quartet of shows hitting stores on December 3rd so here’s a rundown!

Details of his role are under wraps, as is the sequel’s plot. Others on board include Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald, who reprise their roles as Virginia Venit and Shooter McGavin, the love interest and pro golfer antagonist, respectively, of Adam Sandler’s title character. Recently, Sandler has also teased that Travis Kelce is on board for a cameo, and Bad Bunny has also joined the cast. Production is now underway.

Empire Magazine has been giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at Star Wars' upcoming live-action series, Skeleton Crew.

Via ScreenRant, Empire has confirmed that Skeleton Crew is "set concurrently with The Mandalorian and Ahsoka." Earlier, rumors suggested the show was set sometime during The Mandalorian Season 1, but taking place concurrently with Season 3 and Ahsoka makes more sense and opens the door to cameos from characters within the timeline.

Good news, physical media fans! Disney is giving more of its Disney+ exclusive shows 4K Ultra HD releases later this year. Netflix started the whole "You can only get this movie or TV show here" thing in the streaming world, which is why creators like Mike Flanagan don't mind if people pirate certain Netflix shows or movies. Other companies have been, very thankfully, breaking that trend. Disney is now bringing "The Mandalorian" season 3, "Ahsoka" season 1, "Hawkeye" season 1, and "Loki" season 2 to a shelf near you in December. Plan accordingly.

The actor, who will reprise his role as the titular former hockey player-turned-golfer, also has hinted at several special guest stars who may appear in the sequel film. Christopher McDonald, who played antagonist Shooter McGavin in the 1996 original film, first teased word of a sequel. McDonald mentioned to Drew Barrymore and on the radio that Sandler had showed him an early script for the new film.

As Adam Sandler breaks out the clubs to return to the gentleman’s game of golf for the upcoming sequel Happy Gilmore 2, the Blu-ray label Kino Lorber will be bringing the original film to you in glorious 4K imagery. Blu-ray.com has announced the news of the 1996 film’s remastering. Happy Gilmore stars Sandler along with Christopher McDonald, Julie Bowen, Frances Bay, and the late, great Carl Weathers. There has not been a firm release date announced. However, the 4K release is expected to hit retailers sometime early next year. It will likely coincide with the release of Netflix’s sequel.

Before Weathers became an actor, he played in the NFL for the Oakland Raiders in 1970 and 1971. He played in seven games in 1970 and helped the Raiders win the AFC West Division Title.

Since his stardom, Weathers has become a strong Raiders alumnus. From 1999 to 2001, he narrated the team's highlight films. He has also been seen at several alumni events throughout the years and lit a torch before a home game in 2022. The torch was lit by former players and celebrities in memory of the team's owner, Al Davis.

Global music superstar Bad Bunny has continued to fill out his acting slate with a role in Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2, Deadline has confirmed.

Details as to his role is under wraps, as is the sequel’s plot. Others on board include Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald, who reprise their respective roles as Virginia Venit and Shooter McGavin, the love interest and pro golfer antagonist of Adam Sandler’s title character. Recently, Sandler has also teased that Travis Kelce is on board for a cameo, with production now underway.

After working with Sandler on Netflix’s Murder Mystery, Kyle Newacheck is directing from a script by Sandler and Tim Herlihy, who are producing alongside Jack Giarraputo and Robert Simonds. Film fans were shaken earlier this year with the immensely sad news of actor Carl Weathers’ passing. The star had been a cultural icon thanks to his immaculate portrayal of Apollo Creed in the Rocky movies, as well as his run of action roles in films like Predator and Action Jackson. The indie theater announced the upcoming festival which will take place August 16 through August 22. The program celebrates the early ‘70s genre of Black cinema, and features films wth iconic movie stars Pam Grier, Richard Roundtree, Ron O’Neal, Tamara Dobson, Jim Brown, Vonetta McGee, Fred Williamson, Isaac Hayes, and more.

“Blaxploitation, Baby!” is dedicated to author and pioneering film historian Donald Bogle, who collaborated on Film Forum’s first Blaxploitation festival in 1995. Bogle credited Melvin Van Peebles’ filmography for helping to establish the genre. “Blaxploitation, Baby!” additionally ranges from works from directors such as Ossie Davis, Gordon Parks, and Gordon Parks Jr.

As well as the screenings, the festival will include the sales of critic and historian Odie Henderson’s “Black Caesars and Foxy Cleopatras: A History of Blaxploitation” and Donald Bogle’s acclaimed TCM book “Hollywood Black” at concessions.
