Masha is back, and she’s ready to continue her psychedelic experiments in Nine Perfect Strangers season 2. The premiere episode introduces us to the new characters, the nine strangers who are set to embark on an adventure they didn’t necessarily sign up for.

We left Nine Perfect Strangers season 1 off with Masha in the wind, but she’s not escaping the legal troubles. She notes in a conference that she has multiple warrants out for her and other legal issues, and she’s also lying to everyone around her. She is still seeing her daughter Tatiana, and it’s no wonder she is still focused on experiments.

However, she gets an opportunity when a man named Martin comes to see her. They have spoken before, and he shares that “She” wants Marsha to set up her new work base in her place.

While Hulu series “Nine Perfect Strangers” used Liane Moriarty’s novel of the same name as the backbone of the Nicole Kidman-led series, Season 2 prompted the team — led by creator David E. Kelley — to go off-book as they crafted the second act of Nicole Kidman’s Masha Dmitrichenko.

Moriarty, who did not write a follow-up book to “Nine Perfect Strangers,” gave the team her blessing for a second installment of the series, which was renewed by Hulu for a Season 2 in June 2023, well after Season 1 first premiered in 2021. And since “Nine Perfect Strangers” first premiered nearly four years ago, EP Bruna Papandrea noted psilocybin (a.k.a. magic mushrooms) have been embraced tenfold, opening the door for countless stories unlocking past traumas.

“There’s no underlying material at all, no ongoing story,” Papandrea told TheWrap, noting that Season 2 picks up with Masha’s past controversies having been written about and publicized heavily.

The retreat is back and wilder than ever. Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers returns for a second season, with the first pair of new episodes dropping Wednesday (May 21) on the streamer. HBO has set the premiere date for “The Gilded Age” Season 3, with the premium cabler also unveiling the first teaser for the period drama.

Season 3 of “The Gilded Age” will officially debut on June 22 at 9 p.m. Et/Pt on HBO and streaming on Max. In the teaser, Mrs. Russell (Carrie Coon) appears to tell her daughter, Gladys (Taissa Farmiga), that “Marriage is a real opportunity.” Fans of the show will recall that Season 2 ended with Mrs. Russell promising her daughter’s hand in marriage to the Duke of Buckingham (Ben Lamb), but it seems that Gladys is none too happy about the betrothal.

HBO is promising more high-society unrest in season three of The Gilded Age.

The network has set a June 22 premiere date released a first teaser for the drama’s forthcoming season. The teaser shows Bertha Russell (Carrie Coon) sticking to her “too much is never enough” ethos and preparing to marry off her daughter, Gladys (Taissa Farmiga) — a prospect which, judging by Farmiga’s expression in a few shots in the minute-long clip, doesn’t excite Gladys very much.

Marian Brook (Louisa Jacobson), meanwhile, expresses an opposite view: “Some people want to marry for love. I know I do,” she says — to which her aunt Agnes (Christine Baranski) replies, “I don’t understand.” Watch the teaser below.

The minute-long clip gives a glimpse into many of the ensemble cast’s situations come Season 3, with Carrie Coon’s Bertha Russell narrating at the beginning.
