Although many fans supported him, some in the LGBT community were upset by his comment about being “straight-acting,” as it reinforced stereotypes, and Bass later apologized for not understanding the impact of his words.

E! News reshared the information with an Ig post and Brittany instantly saw it as an opportunity to set the record straight and throw shade at her almost-former partner.

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, her new VP pick, have gotten a lot of mileage out of labeling Donald Trump and his running mate J.D. Vance “weird.” It’s a brilliant construction, as it’s taken the word hurled at those considered outsiders in America — by race, gender, or affinity — and attached it firmly to white men of the right-wing persuasion.
It’s also a primo move of someone who is a member of my generation, Generation X — taking back the power of the outsider and exposing those who claim...

Backstreet’s back! And so is Nsync, O-Town, and all of Lou Pearlman’s other boy bands (and his crimes) in hit Netflix docuseries “Dirty Pop: The Boy Band Scam.”
If that all sounds familiar, it is probably because this already happened: In 2019, Nsync member Lance Bass released “The Boy Band Con: The Lou Pearlman Story.”
This one, directed by David Terry Fine and executive produced by Pearlman-boy-band band-boy Michael Johnson, who is also one of the main on-camera participants, is a three-part documentary series employing a very present-day storytelling device.
Pearlman serves as the narrator of the 2024 doc about his misdeeds. That was complicated by the fact that Pearlman has been dead for nearly eight years. Enter actor Chris Banks — or at least his mouth — and a healthy dose of machine learning.
“Lou 2,” as Fine calls his monster as you see it on screen, is built on the base of a real Pearlman video.

Updated: A White Dudes for Harris online rally raised more than $4 million for Kamala Harris’ campaign, as a mix of vice presidential hopefuls, labor leaders and Hollywood celebrities sought to capitalize on the new Democratic enthusiasm with a bit of a twist.
On the virtual You Tube event, J.J. Abrams chipped in a $50,000 match, while figures like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Groban, Bradley Whitford, Rory O’Malley, Paul Scheer, Adam Conover, Sean Astin, Michael Kelly, Lance Bass, Tim Daly and Josh Gad appeared. Perhaps the biggest surprise was the appearance of Jeff Bridges, “The Dude” in The Big Lebowski.
“I’m white, I’m a dude and I’m for Harris,” Bridges said.
