She also reveals that she met William at Fort Ticonderoga and that seeing him made her miss Bree even more.
Meanwhile, the British army’s camped near Stillwater, NY, and William Ransome (Charles Vandervaart) joins the officers in a discussion of the state of the army. The Husseins are also involved in this meeting,...

Upon their return to the 20th Century, Roger and Bree decided to stay in Scotland to be close to their heritage. How convenient that in this week’s Outlander, their heritage basically knocks on their front door and shows itself in.

[This interview was conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike authorization.] Being the new kids on the loch with a hit show like Outlander could be intimidating. Not for Izzy Meikle-Small and Joey Phillips, who debuted in last week’s episode as peaceful Quaker siblings Rachel Hunter and her physician brother, Denzell. The actors say they received a warm welcome from stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, who’ve played Claire and Jamie Fraser since the time travel romance first won our hearts in 2014. “They were like, ‘How’s it all going? We want to hear your experiences, is there anything we can help with?’ They’re great leaders on set,” Meikle-Small told us when we spoke with her and Phillips about the harrowing fifth episode. Like many on Outlander before them, the Hunters survived a brutal betrayal and attack that could have left both dead. And, also like many before them, they were saved by someone with...

But their mission is complicated by the beginning of a geopolitical firestorm: The American Revolution has arrived. In the seventh season of “Outlander”, Jamie, Claire, and their family are caught in the violent birth pains of an emerging nation as armies march to war and British institutions crumble in the face of armed rebellion.

Starz has released the first trailer for “Outlander” Season 7, which will premiere June 16.
The new season, inspired in part by Diana Gabaldon’s “Outlander” book series, will waste no time getting into action, picking up on the harrowing events of the Season 6 finale where Jamie (Sam Heugan) and Young Ian (John Bell) were racing to rescue Claire (Caitriona Balfe) before she was tried and wrongfully convicted for the murder of Malva Christie (Jessica Reynolds).
In true “Outlander” fashion, nothing comes easy; the trailer depicts much hardship to come for the Frasers and those they love. The American Revolution is in full swing and the chaos that comes with an emerging nation means the land they once called home is changing. Will Jamie, Claire, Brianna (Sophie Skelton), Roger (Richard Rankin) and their loved ones be able to change with it is a key question this season.
“I’d hoped that Jamie would stay away from it,...

The opening title sequence for Outlander Season 7 will be sung by Sinéad O’Connor, following a tradition each season of adapting the show’s theme song by drawing inspiration from upcoming storylines and locations. Season 7 is set to premiere this summer.
“We are honored to have Sinead O’Connor performing ‘The Skye Boat Song.’ Her rendition is, for me, a reminder of all that’s beautiful about Outlander. She is talented beyond measure. Hers is a voice of the ages — one which pierces heart and soul — and embodies the spirit of the show,” says Matthew B. Roberts, showrunner and executive producer of Outlander.
Outlander‘s seventh season will pick up after the events of the Season 6 finale, which saw Claire (Caitriona Balfe) arrested by Richard Brown (Chris Larkin) for the murder of Malva Christie (Jessica Reynolds) and for being a witch.

Outlander star Sam Heughan plays tour guide for a behind-the-scenes look at the Wilmington sets. “Welcome to our version of Selling Wilmington,” jokes Heughan as the nearly four-minute video begins. Heughan’s co-stars Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin point out key locations on the set, including where Bree met her real dad for the very first time.
Both Skelton and Rankin take the time to show off the cabin where their characters had their first love scene.
The set’s massive and Sam Heughan confirms it’s grown considerably over the years as they add more and more frontage. “Some of these buildings are only fronts. Others are indoor/outdoor,” explains Heughan, adding that one of his favorite new constructions is the Red Falcon that was built in season six.
“So in the middle of Scotland, we have this beautiful early American town and there’s more to come,” says Skelton.

Jamie and Claire's story is coming to a close.

“Outlander” is coming to an end. Eventually.
Ahead of the show’s upcoming 7th Season, Starz announced Thursday that “Outlander” has been renewed for an 8th and final season. In addition, the network has given the greenlight to the prequel series, “Outlander: Blood of My Blood,” which went into development last summer.
Starz has yet to announce a released date for the final season, but with Season 7 of the time travel-romantic drama scheduled to premiere this summer, chances are the story won’t end until at least 2024.
Created by Ronald D. Moore and adapted from the book series by Diana Gabaldon, “Outlander” follows Claire (Caitriona Balfe), a woman from post-World War II England transported back in time to the 1740s. Already married in the 20th century, she also falls in love with Scottish rebel Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and builds a life with him — before being sent back to her own time.

If for some reason you’ve missed the “Outlander” boat, it was developed by Ronald D. Moore from the book series by Diana Gabaldon and has been on Starz for a whopping 75 episodes. Liberally mixing romance, science fiction and historical drama elements into an infectious, incredibly horny stew, it follows Caitríona Balfe as Claire Randall, who in post-World War II Scotland is magically whisked away to 1743. There, she takes up a romance with a hunky Highland warrior named Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan). From there, she gets involved in the Jacobite rising, some pretty weird sex and even more time travel shenanigans.

A special gift has arrived for “Outlander” fans ahead of Christmas Day — a first look at the upcoming season, which will premiere next summer.
Jamie Fraser, played by Sam Heughan, can be heard at the start of the trailer speaking to Claire (Caitriona Balfe), detailing a dream in which he saw her surrounded by light. “There was light all around you. But it wasn’t candlelight nor firelight,” he tells her. “I thought that must be what electric light is like.”
Amid a plethora of clips of the dramatic season to come — including the fated Fraser’s Ridge fire that prompted Brianna (Sophie Skelton) to travel to the past, the Declaration of Independence being posted, a somber funeral procession taking place, Brianna giving birth, and most shocking of all, Claire facing a hanging — Jamie is asked by Claire how he can recognize something he has never seen in real life.

Starz is leaving a little gift for Outlander watchers just before Christmas.
The premium cable outlet has released the first teaser for the show’s seventh season (watch it below) and announced the series will return in summer 2023 (an actual date will be announced later). A summer premiere will mean about 15 or 16 months between seasons, as season six ended its eight-episode run on May 1.
The coming season will take the sixth and seventh books in author Diana Gabaldon’s series of novels — A Breath of Snow and Ashes and An Echo in the Bone — as its source material. The shortening of season six due to the Covid-19 pandemic means there is still material from A Breath of Snow and Ashes for the show to explore.
