The hitman-turned-wannabe actor is only ever a halfway-decent actor when he's channeling the immense rage that fuels him, and he's constantly lured back into the hitman lifestyle. But it took three seasons for that lifestyle to catch up with him in tangible ways. Kelly Ripa has spent 22 years as the host of a single daytime talk show, now earning a salary in the range of $20 million a year. She not only got movie-star rich as the co-host of “Live!”; she’s part of TV history, in a league of legends — Regis Philbin, Phil Donahue, Jerry Springer and Oprah Winfrey — who changed TV as they greeted millions of stay-at-home moms and dads each day.
Following in Winfrey’s footsteps wasn’t a path that the actress born and raised in New Jersey dreamed for herself. When Ripa joined Philbin on “Live!” in February 2001, after a fierce nationwide search to replace Kathie Lee Gifford, she was a bubbly soap-opera star best known for her years on “All My Children.” Since then, Ripa has maintained a cheerful (but not plastic) persona as she steered “Live!,” the most-watched syndicated talk show on TV, through divisive moments in...

People were quick to speculate about the absence of Doherty in person or on a banner, but Garth quickly shut all rumors down.

Enter guest star Caroline Rhea, whose character Jana is described by Mayan as the show’s “Karen character,” and who wants to sell the beds to make them both rich. A Phineas and Ferb revival is in the works as part of creator Dan Povenmire’s newly inked overall deal with Disney Branded Television.
There will be another 40 episodes of the popular animated series produced as part of the deal, which will equate to two seasons. It’s not clear where the episodes will air, since Disney Branded Television currently produces series across Disney Channel, Disney+, Disney Junior and Disney Xd.
Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis made the announcement in conjunction with Povenmire during Friday’s Television Critics Association panel.
“There’s songs that we wrote in 2005 for this show that are trending on TikTok. That has been one of the best times in my career is the fact that this whole generation of kids and parents really took this show into their hearts, and it still means so much to them,” Povenmire said.

Melissa Joan Hart is ready to blow the dust off her spell books and get witchy for Sabrina the Teenage Witch fans. Speaking with the Associated Press, Hart said she’d be interested in a reboot of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, but making it happen is more complex than fans anticipate. When asked about getting the cover back together to brew another concoction of coming-of-age comedy, Hart replied, “The answer to the Sabrina reboot question is, unfortunately, I can’t just point my finger and make it happen. There’s so much red tape. Who owns it? Who would pay for it? What network would it be on?”
Sorting the details of organizing a reboot is hard work, but we’ve seen the entertainment industry work miracles before. While talking with Hart, the Associated Press asked if all the pieces fell into place would she be willing to participate in the reboot.

Your feelings about NBC’s Lopez vs. Lopez may hinge on how much you enjoyed George Lopez’s first semi-autobiographical comedy.
It’s been 20 years since that self-titled series premiered on ABC, where it ran for six seasons, then went on to find even greater success in syndication. (Show of hands: How many of you discovered the series via Nick at Nite circa 2007?) As you’ll recall, much of the original show’s conflict stemmed from George’s resentment towards his neglectful, alcoholic mother Benny.

Where most shows of the pre-streaming era poured time and resources into year-end episodes and Christmas specials, for “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” everything went into Halloween. As producer and star Melissa Joan Hart told IndieWire via Zoom, “Of the 26 [episodes] we would do that year, Halloween was always the biggie. That’s when the budget would open up and we’d spend a lot of money on it.”
The proof is in the petrifying pudding, with “Sabrina” creating some of the most unique, inventive, and memorable Halloween episodes of the 1990s. Whether it was alt-rock band 10,000 Maniacs performing during Season 2’s “A River of Candy Corn Runs Through It” or Sabrina giving Frankenstein’s monster and the Bride of Frankenstein couple’s counseling in Season 5’s “The Halloween Scene,” these episodes showcased not only a blend of spooky fun for the whole family, but also an uptick in star power and IP recognition.

Melissa Joan Hart told fans of her ’90s Nickelodeon show “Clarissa Explains It All” is no longer happening, People reports.
Hart was attending ’90s Con in Hartford, Connecticut, on Saturday and sitting in on the panel for “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch,” her other ’90s series, when she was asked about the status of the “Clarissa” reboot, which was first reported in 2018.
“We tried that, actually. Nickelodeon got a new president, and they kind of squashed the whole thing,” Hart said of the reboot, according to People, and referring to Bryan Robbins, who took over as president of the cable network for kids from Cyma Zarghami in 2018. “So it was actually in the works and, yeah, it just sort of disappeared. It took like a year to do the contracts, which was the hardest part, and then it just kind of fizzled out. So I don’t think [it will happen].”

Netflix announced the second season of “The Baby-Sitters Club” will premiere on Oct. 11.
“The Baby-Sitters Club,” based on the best-selling book series of the same name by Ann M. Martin, follows a group of friends as they start a baby-sitting business in Stoneybrook, Conn. As they juggle their new responsibilities as local caregivers, they also face friendship challenges with each other, various pressures from their home lives and unique situations that include diabetes (for Stacey), an absentee father (for Kristy) and parents who are dating each other (for Mary Ann and Dawn).
“In Season 2, we really get to see a maturation of the club and of the girls,” said creator and showrunner Rachel Shukert in a statement. “There are two new members [and] they’re all a year older and have more experience running a business, deeper friendships and are growing into a deeper understanding of themselves as people.

(Warning: This post contains spoilers for the final season of “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” through Episode 7.)
Netflix’s horror-drama “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” gave a big shoutout to ABC’s ’90s sitcom “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” in its recently launched final season with the cameos for Caroline Rhea and Beth Broderick. Or, as fans of the Melissa Joan Hart-led comedy remember them, Aunt Hilda and Aunt Zelda.
The “Sabrina”-“Sabrina” crossover event comes in the Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa-created series’ penultimate episode, when Sabrina Morningstar (played by Kiernan Shipka) enters the “Other Cosmos” in hopes of saving Sabrina Spellman (also Shipka) and the rest of her loved ones from the Eldritch Terrors. It’s here, in this alternate reality, she finds herself the star of a long-running TV series, with her aunties played by Broderick and Rhea, and her *real* Aunt Zelda and Hilda are their understudies.

This Chilling Adventures of Sabrina review contains no spoilers, except for some information that was presented in the series’ trailers. It is based on all eight episodes of season 4 that were made available to critics.
“Once more into the fray, right guys?”
Let’s just bottom line things right up front here: This is Chilling Adventures of Sabrina‘s strongest — and most entertaining — season. So naturally (in what is rapidly becoming the streaming giant’s signature move) Netflix canceled the series just as it reached its creative peak. The eight episodes of this fourth and final chapter of the Archie Comics-inspired series have it making bold character choices and plot developments that are genuinely surprising.
Indeed, there is a finality to these new installments that make one question how soon into the production process the show’s creative team was informed of its cancellation.. Whomever knew what and when...

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will have two special guests for an episode that airs during the Netflix series' fourth and final part (each of the show's two seasons has been broken into two parts). Caroline Rhea and Beth Broderick are appearing on the series as the aunts of Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) from an alternate universe where her life is a sitcom. Rhea and Broderick starred on the and WB sitcom, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, as the aunts of that show's Sabrina Spellman (played by Melissa Joan Hart).
