Xoxo, Upper East Siders. Chuck Bass is getting married and Lily Van Der Woodsen is invited.
“I miss that character, but I am still in touch with almost everyone from the show. I am going to Ed’s [Westwick] wedding and I am so excited,” admitted “Gossip Girl” star Kelly Rutherford at French TV festival Series Mania.
In the “still relevant” show, she played the impossibly glamorous mother of Blake Lively’s Serena.
“It was before this whole super politically correct time. We were on the verge of it and there is just a different energy about it. After the first season, we knew [it was huge].”
“Gossip Girl” ended in 2012.
“The women I grew up with were very chic, but I hadn’t really seen a mother like that on TV. I didn’t realize how much people loved Lily – until now. At first, it was all about these kids. We were just parents.

At Paris Fashion Week, the autumn / winter 2024 collections have been strongly influenced by the 1960s — quite notably at Dior — and it’s no different for French luxury shoe brand Roger Vivier. Holding its presentation at a different-than-usual location in Paris, at the Maison de l’Amérique Latine, the brand welcomed guests with a long glamorous red carpet at the entrance.
Camille Razat from Emily In Paris stopped in to see the new “Vivier Op-tical”-themed collection, while iconic French actress Catherine Deneuve caused a stir as she stopped in with cameras following her. Other guests included actresses Kelly Rutherford and Naomie Harris, model Paris Jackson and Spanish model Rossy de Palma.

Winter’s cold edge remained strong in the City of Lights. However, that didn’t stop hundreds from turning up at the Dior Fall Winter 2024 women’s ready-to-wear show Tuesday in Paris to see celebrities and the who’s who of fashion enter an enormous white box-like edifice situated right in the middle of Jardin des Tuileries.
As guests entered into the building, the first thing they encountered was bamboo cascading around the room forming a square shape, and also crisscrossing from the ceiling, as well as bamboo figures set in the middle of the room. The installation was devised by Indian artist Shakuntala Kulkarni, but dreamt up by Maria Grazia Chiuri, the house’s haute couture and women’s ready-to-wear creative director. Before the lights were turned down low, fanfare surrounded actors Jennifer Lawrence (wearing a deep v-neck waistcoat) and Anya Taylor-Joy as they sat together. While Maisie Williams,...

Scream franchise star Liev Schreiber wrapped up his run in the series with Scream 3, playing a key role in the original trilogy. He was in the first movie briefly as Cotton Weary, a man who was wrongfully accused and serving prison time for the murder of Maureen Prescott, the mother of Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell). Cotton played a much bigger part in the plot of Scream 2, which even saw him reuniting with Sidney to take down the new Ghostface. Unfortunately, his luck ran out at the start of Scream 3, as the film opens with the murders of Cotton and his girlfriend Christine (Kelly Rutherford).
In a new interview with GQ, Schreiber reflected on his time as Cotton Weary in the original Scream trilogy. He recalled how "super cool" the experience was at the time, as he was still breaking through in the movie business when he'd been cast in the first film.

One actor shares their strange rejection story from the original Gossip Girl. Although HBO Max's short-lived reboot focused a little more on the teachers who had to deal with the privileged and wealthy students, The CW's take on Gossip Girl kept its focus on the teens themselves and their family drama. There wasn't a lot of room for adults, and when they did show up, they didn't necessarily behave any better.
While discussing her role in the Peacock limited series Mrs. Davis, Betty Gilpin spoke to Entertainment Weekly's The Awardist podcast about auditioning for Gossip Girl. Prepare to hop back onto the saddle, as later this month, Ash vs. Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell will revisit the cult favorite comedy Western series The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. Created by Carlton Cuse and Jeffrey Boam, the cult favorite series only ran for one season on the Fox network between 1993 and 1994, bowing out with a total of 27 episodes. Showing off Campbell's comedic abilities outside of the horror genre, the series was a hit with fans of the actor, and as the years have gone by, fans continue to watch the show by way of the DVD box set or online streaming services.
Now, Bruce Campbell is heading back to the West for a live table read with several other cast members of the show. "Guess who's coming back for one more ride...?" Campbell tweeted this week, including a link to information about The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.

After 20 years, Wes Craven’s Scream 3 currently sits at a 39 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. And while Rt scores are hardly the only way to define a film’s quality status, Scream 3 still remains something of a punching bag for fans of the franchise (we get it—Gale’s bangs are weird! Wow!), and I’m here to say that while it’s not the strongest entry in the series, Scream 3 deserves so much more love than it gets, and after two decades, it’s time more genre fans recognized the greatness that is contained within its 116-minute running time.
It may not have the breakout opening that we get at the start of Scream, or the visceral gut-punch of Scream 2's tone-setting theater killings, but I really love how amped up everything feels during Scream 3’s opener. But we open with Cotton Weary...

The Pretty Little Liars franchise is coming to an end for now. Freeform has opted not to renew Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists for a second season.
There were high expectations for the spinoff from Freeform’s biggest hit, Pretty Little Liars, which starred PLL alums Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish reprising their roles and hailed from the same auspices as the original series, writer/executive producer I. Marlene King, Alloy Entertainment and Warner Horizon Scripted Television.
But the new series, based on the popular book series The Perfectionists written by Pll author Sara Shepard, could not come close to the blockbuster ratings success and social media popularity of Pll. Its first season averaged 260,000 Live+same viewers and a 0.12 rating in adults 18-49. Judging by the cancellation decision by Freeform, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists likely did not make up for the modest live viewing with substantial DVR and streaming bumps.

None of Freeform's current programs get the kind of Nielsen ratings that Pretty Little Liars earned, so it's no wonder the former ABC Family cable network brought back I. Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists Producer Revealed Why It’s A Better Spin Off Than Ravenswood
Hey, "Pretty Little Liars" fans. We've got some new, very interesting details for the new spin off series "The Perfectionists." The show's producer Marlene King recently revealed just exactly why The Perfectionists is going to a be a way better Pretty Little Liars spin off than Ravenswood was back in 2014. I don't know how many of you guys caught the Ravenswood spin off back in 2014. It came and went pretty quickly because it totally flopped. It featured character Hanna Marin's boyfriend Caleb Rivers and a host of other characters. The show featured secrets and ghosts. It got sent to cancelville after just one season by the then network ABC Family. It was reported that a lot of fans started complaining, "Wtf, why am I watching a show about ghosts?" In her interview with the folks over at Cosmopolitan.com, Marlene revealed that The Perfectionists spin off will be way more...

Nearly every scene in “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists” tells one specific story: This is a series that very much wants to be “Pretty Little Liars: All Grown Up.” It’s an interesting choice for a spinoff, considering the fact that the final season and a half of “Pretty Little Liars” featured a five-year time jump in order to be exactly just that, a more mature version of the series. But that transition was relatively easy to swallow, because after all the abuse and trauma the Liars (as well as everyone in their general orbit) suffered at the hands of every possible version of omniscient cyber tormentor “A,” those characters seemed to have already mentally aged a long, long time ago.
This series doesn’t have those years of torment plaguing its new characters. But it really wants its audience to know just how mature it and its characters are.

It was a case of art imitating life at Saturday night’s Hollywood premiere of “The Perfectionists” — Freeform’s “Pretty Little Liars” spinoff about a scandal involving college students striving for excellence by any means necessary.
The TV show’s debut was coincidently preceded by a real-life college scandal involving Hollywood celebrities who allegedly didn’t let a little thing like the law get in the way of their children’s educational ambitions. The irony was not lost of the Freeform’s president Tom Ascheim, who welcomed his cast to a screening of the pilot episode on Friday night at the Hollywood Athletic Club as guests snacked on popcorn and pie.
“We have the best marketing and PR team in the business, but even I was not sure that they would be able to create a college cheating scandal this big to launch our show,” he joked. “But we’re very grateful that they did.

A while back, Wgn America cancelled its original programming -- series including Outsiders and Underground -- in advance of Tribune Media's now-dead acquisition by Sinclair. While Tribune shops its local stations and Wgn America to other prospective buyers, the cable network has picked up a few series, which first ran in other countries. Enter the Gone TV show. If it is a success on Wgn America, will it be picked up for another season overseas and in the Us? Will Gone be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.

The arrangement may have changed, but the sentiment remains: Two can keep a secret… if one of them is dead. Freeform on Thursday unveiled a new version of Pretty Little Liars‘ iconic theme song “Secret,” as heard in the series premiere of its upcoming spinoff Pll: The Perfectionists.
Originally performed by The Pierces, this angelic (and far creepier) take comes courtesy of musical duo Denmark + Winter, whose work has been featured in a number of TV shows and movies — including The Perfectionists’ parent series. (Its cover of “Stand by Me” played during Hanna and Caleb’s low-key wedding ceremony in Season 7.)

Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists is just weeks away, and the promotional train is well underway.
Freeform has now released the official poster, and we have a lot of thoughts.
It features returning liars, Alison (Sasha Pieterse) and Mona (Janel Parrish) alongside new liars Ava (Sofia Carson), Caitlin (Sydney Park), and Dylan (Eli Walker).
All five liars are wearing masks, but Alison is front and center with her finger in front of her lips. It is clearly a callback to the signature "shh" sign the original series was known for.
"New Lies. New Liars," is the tagline on the poster. It's certainly a good way to promote the series for the fans of the original series that are still clamoring for more twists and turns.

Freeform shared the poster on its social media pages for Pretty Little Liars, clearly trying to capitalize on that show.

It's been quite some time since Freeform announced a Pretty Little Liars spinoff called The Perfectionists. It was an interesting move, mostly because the book doesn't connect to the Pll universe. But Sara Shepard did write both stories initially, and creator I. Marlene King has found a way to make the crossover work in perfect harmony.
In the months and months since the show was announced, plenty of tiny details pertaining to the project have trickled out. In addition to a fresh new cast (which join mainstays Sasha Pieterse aka Alison and Janel Parrish aka Mona), we've also been privy to all kinds of juicy new information about the show. Wondering what you can expect when you enter the town of Beacon Heights come March? We're breaking down the major story and characters, just to get you all pumped up.
