June Angela
June Angela is the first American-born Asian actress to receive Broadway's TONY Award nomination as Best Leading Actress - for her starring role of Mariko in Shogun. She received an Emmy and Grammy Award as a regular on the iconic TV series The Electric Company with Morgan Freeman and Rita Moreno as well. She's also part of TV history, being a regular on the first Asian American Primetime Comedy Series, Mr. T and Tina, with Karate Kid's 'Mr. Miyagi' Pat Morita. Extensive credits include starring opposite Danny Glover in a 2 character play, recurring on Fresh Off the Boat, as Madame Xing the family psychic, ER, Dexter and co-starring on Broadway and London in The King and I with Yul Brynner. She recently came full circle with the acclaimed TV series Shogun, playing Lord Toranaga's wife Kiri in the English voiced version.

      As Julie, she appeared in more first-run episodes of The Electric Company (1971) than any other member of the Short Circus. Moreover, she was the only Short Circus kid to be carried over from the series's debut through its finale (The first runner-ups were Melanie Henderson and Stephen Gustafson, who remained with the show from its pilot until its fourth season).
