Miya McGhee/Mia Bell
Mia Bell has been in and out of the entertainment business since early childhood performing in local talent shows and beauty pageants in the city of Cleveland Ohio. From a big blended family the youngest with lots of siblings who kept close associations with criminals, thugs, pimps and gangster's gave her an awareness and a unique sense of the street hustler's mentality. She had to learn at an early age to think fast and be creative when it came to staying out of trouble and being in the right place at the right time to catch opportunities coming her way. She instinctively could tell when things were about to go "all bad" and learned to quickly get out of harm's way while others got caught up in the street drama which usually cost them their freedom and sometimes their lives. Although she was labeled as "a project girl", that didn't stop her from excelling as an honor student thru out every grade in school, which kept her positive and hopeful on her future dreams to leave the poverty ridden lifestyle of Cleveland. However, regardless of her surroundings her hood continuously helped and supported her from the dark side of the project life... she never gave in to the pitfalls of prostitution, teen pregnancy, dealing drugs or becoming an addict. In her early teens, she was fortunate enough to have earned a special invitation to participate in an "Arts & Entertainment" program for under privileged kids from the inner City during one summer break which literally changed her life forever. Thru this incredible program she was exposed to a whole new world of opportunity, excitement and creative expression in the Arts. She left there with a new burning desire to somehow pursue the entertainment industry in her future. After graduating high school, she went on to attend Kent State University for several semesters where she studied Fashion Merchandising and Dance before her burning desire took over and she left the University in the late 80's. She decided to leave the inner city projects of Cleveland for the Glitz and Glam of Hollywood ....dreaming of becoming a "Star". Unlike most "would-be Hollywood dreamers", Mia instantly found herself dancing and modeling in multiple music videos and touring with some of the top R&B and hip hop artist in the business. She quickly made a name for herself in the modeling and music world and landed recording contracts with East West Records and Priority Records. She worked with such artist/producers Foster McElroy, Mac10, Terry Coffey, John Nettleby, Horace Coleman and Binky Mac and recorded a Remix with Quincy Jones. She later toured nationally and performed with several well-known recording artists. Although she never earned the "Hit record" that didn't stop her tenacious zeal to keep pushing for success. Along the way she appeared in various movies including "Why do fools fall in love", a hip hop film called "Thicker than water" Featuring Mac 10 and Fat Joe, a hip hop movie short Directed by Dr. Dre where she plays Snoop Dogg love interest titled "Murder was the case" and the hit box office classic film by John Singleton "Boys in the hood". In addition to music and film she had a once in a lifetime incredible opportunity to be a featured guest on the Oprah Winfrey TV show discussing the pitfalls and heartaches of romance and broken relationships. Oprah later commented: "how beautiful, intelligent and amazing Mia is... as a woman who wouldn't except failure or defeat... even in heartbreak". Always seeking to push the envelope and re-engineer her career she decided to release her own "self-titled" calendar in 2002 which featured the many faces of Mia and unique fashionable looks that she personally created with a couple of close friends which later became a very profitable and successful venture. Never one to stop pursuing success, she studied and became a licensed real estate agent and licensed insurance agent and earned her brokers millions of dollars in sales and amassed herself by being part of the top 100% club of Re/Max and also becoming the #1 agent in the Re/Max franchise earning some healthy commissions over the course of over 10 years as a Realtor. Mia has now come full circle ... Straight out of the Cleveland projects and surviving Hollywood... to recreate a true to life story of 4 girls from the projects who find good fortune, success and the ultimate perils of life in their friendships and their relationships with the men they love. This story is based upon real life experiences and shows yet another side of the creative genius of this vivacious intellectual artist.

Kyle Clark and Lina Wong owners and Producers of SilverScreen Pictures, Inc. commented: "Mia has proven to be resilient, innovative and timeless in her beauty and creative ability to write this true to life story! It's uniquely engaging and we're excited to be Producing this Movie!"

"Mia Bell is truly mentally gifted and the ultimate mix of beauty, brains and boldness in creatively capturing the essence of friendship and sisterhood in this wonderful episodic drama. Mia is destined to become the next Hollywood sensation." Editor - Hollywood Post
