Joaquim Pedro de Andrade was born on May 25, 1932 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was a director and writer, known for Macunaima (1969), Conjugal Warfare (1974) and The Brazilwood Man (1982). He was married to Ana Maria Galano, Cristina Aché and Sarah de Castro Barbosa. He died on September 10, 1988 in Rio de Janeiro.
