Shaun DePriest Born in Richmond, Virginia. He began acting at the tender age of 5.
DePriest attended Varina High School in Richmond Virginia, during which time he had participated in numerous clubs and organizations receiving a coveted humanitarian award for giving and services to his community.
He became a member of the international thespian society in his junior year, and during a mid-semester became an active member of the Richmond Community Theater Guild, the oldest black theater company in the Richmond area.
DePriest landed his first television appearance as an extra in the UPN Television pilot of "Legacy". During this year he also worked as an extra in the suspense thriller "Asunder" staring Blair Underwood, Debbie Morgan, and Michael Beach.
DePriest made his first professional theatrical appearance in the Barksdale Theater production of "Inherit the Wind" under the direction of Randy Strawerman and the late Ernie McClintock.
DePriest was a one-time student at Louisburg College in Louisburg, North Carolina. Here he was awarded Best supporting Actor Award for his role as the ghost of Christmas past in Charles Dicken "A Christmas Carol." He also shined in his role as Andy Lee in the musical "Forty-Second Street", under the direction of Charlie John Smith.
DePriest have appeared in films such as Sally Hemmings: An American Scandal and Nat Turner: A troublesome property to name a few.
