Though it leaked online in 2008, there was never much information about Britney Spears's cover of the Ace of Base classic "All That She Wants" — until now. Sitting down with ABC News for a career retrospective, Ace of Base front man Ulf Ekberg says the cover was recorded in 2007, but remained unreleased because it was a "difficult time" for Spears. Presumably, the song would have been included on Spears's 2007 album Blackout. Elkberg says the track was done "only in Denmark" and "never finished and didn't end up on her album. It was cool though. She took the choruses, took away the verses and wrote new ones about her mom. It was very strong." Here's the demo that has been floating around the internet for eight years:...

Though the story’s been floating around for at least 20 years, the Internet was once again reminded yesterday that Ace Of Base’s Ulf Ekberg was maybe, sort of, kind of a neo-Nazi when he was younger. Noisey published a story saying that the Swede—now a businessman working with companies like Nokia, BMW, and Ibm—was once part of a skinhead musical group called Commit Suicide. Noisey also alleged that Ekberg was a member of the Swedish Democrats, a group founded by Nazis and with noted connections to hate groups. As it turns out, Noisey may have acted ...

Ace of Base's Ulf Ekberg wants to set the record straight. Speaking exclusively with E! News, the musician addressed the public firestorm over his alleged past Nazi ties after a report surfaced Tuesday claiming that has was a member of a pro-Nazi band before he helped form the hitmaking Swedish pop quartet that would eventually churn out hits like "All That She Wants" and "The Sign." And although Ekberg admits that he is regretful about "some of my thoughts from those days," which he calls "nauseating," he insists that the band in question, Commit Suicide, did not write the controversial songs supposedly attributed to them, which popped up in a demo tape that's reportedly...

Ace of Base fans will be disappointed to learn that one of the band's founding members has a disturbing secret: He was in a Nazi band and has ties to a political party that also leans uncomfortably toward the hate-group side of the spectrum.
The revelations, which are admittedly not so much new as little-known, surfaced in a Noisey article about Ulf Ekberg -- one of the "All That She Wants" band's founding members. It turns out that Ekberg was in a band called Commit Suicide, and unfortunately that's the least troubling part of the story.
Among the lyrics Commit Suicide sang (originally in Swedish, this is Noisey's translation): "Men in white hoods march down the road, we enjoy ourselves when we're sawing off n-----s’ heads/ Immigrant, we hate you! Out, out, out, out! Nordic people, wake up now! Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot!"

Ace of Base star Jenny Berggren has decided to quit the pop group to go solo. The singer has performed with the popular Swedish band since it began in the 1980s, but she's decided to leave "The Sign" hitmakers to launch her own career.
In a festive post on her Twitter page, she writes, "Merry Christmas! Check out jennyberggren.com! I've played so many roles, now I will start my own way. Follow me."
Ace of Base was originally comprised of siblings Jenny, Jonas and Malin Berggren and singer Ulf Ekberg until Malin left the group in 2007.
Jenny confirms the two remaining members will continue to perform as a duo, adding: "Meanwhile, the boys in the band are doing their musical thing, as I do mine. We wish each other the best of luck and work for the future. My hopes are that we can work together in the future,...

Michael Jackson was a big fan of Swedish pop group Ace Of Base, according to bandmember Ulf Ekberg. The star claimed that Jackson confessed his love for the 'All That She Wants' hitmakers when they both performed at the World Music awards in 1996. "Meeting him for the first time was a really big thing because he was a legend for all of us in the band," Ekberg told Digital Spy. "But the first thing he did was come up to us and say, 'You know what, I think 'Beautiful Life' is one of the best songs I have ever (more)...
