Just hours after bassist Piggy D. revealed that he was exiting Rob Zombie’s band early on Tuesday morning (January 30th), Zombie announced the return of his original bassist, Rob “Blasko” Nicholson.
“After 18 years I am thrilled to announce that Blasko has returned! ☠️ The original 4 string Zombie monster is back. Get ready for a crazy summer of mayhem,” posted Zombie on Instagram (see below), along with the band’s new lineup of himself, Blasko, guitarist Mike Riggs, and drummer Ginger Fish.
Earlier in the day, Piggy D stated, “Dear Friends, My time with Zombie has come to an end. It was an honor to entertain you for the last 18 years. I look forward to the future and wish everyone the best. Peace & Love, Matt Montgomery aka Count D., Piggy D., Giggles.”

With nearly 3,000 fans in attendance, Dread Central hit this past Sunday’s 10th Annual Johnny Ramone Tribute at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, CA, and we got an eye and earful. Read on for our report, photo gallery, and a video clip from the event.
The show was hosted by musician/filmmaker Rob Zombie and his band, who played a blistering five-song set of Ramones tunes set inside the facility’s Masonic Temple, which included "Blitzkrieg Bop," "Rock 'n' Roll High School," "Beat on the Brat," "Lobotomy," and Motörhead's tribute song to the same, "R.A.M.O.N.E.S."
With the show simulcast on the cemetery’s mausoleum wall to the throng of music fans who picnicked on the grass outside, Zombie’s set was followed by a jam session made up of guitarist Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols, Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses, singer Billy Idol,...

April is a banner month for Rob Zombie, who made two bloody splashes in one week: last week not only marked the theatrical release of his long-awaited feature film The Lords of Salem (check out our Salem interview with Rob here), but he also rolled out his fifth full-length solo album Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor, the first release on his own label Zodiac Swan. The follow-up to 2010's Hellbilly Deluxe 2 is a strong career move for Rob, who opted to dig deeper and tap into his late '90s roots in White Zombie, namely the legendary Astro-Creep 2000. HD2 was still a cool album in itself, and a solid sequel to Rob's career-defining solo debut, but the Z-man has wisely chosen to diversify his style while balancing his old and new musical strengths on this project. Zombie's signature sound has certainly not been overthrown for anything radically new here, but the...

Rob Zombie has debuted his new video for the first single off his upcoming album Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor. “Dead City Radio And The New Gods Of Supertown” is the name of the rocking tune and it may be one of the best songs Zombie has written in a Long time. Music fans may be curious to know that former Marilyn Manson band members John 5 and Ginger Fish are now part of Rob Zombie’s line-up and can be seen in the video. As you would expect from the musician turned director, the video is directed by none other than Zombie himself. A gangster midget and a break-dancing skeleton are some of the colorful characters on display in this black and white video. And because it seems like he can’t do anything without his lovely lady, Sheri Moon Zombie is featured prominently as well. The album is scheduled...

Marilyn Manson has been sent a letter from serial killer Charles Manson. The 'Disposable Teens' artist used Manson's surname as part of his stage name, along with Marilyn Monroe. The practice was also used by other members of his band, including Twiggy Ramirez, Ginger Fish and Madonna Wayne Gacy. The postcard from Manson was leaked on Loudwire, and contains strange, threatening remarks made to the singer. Charles Manson wrote: "To Marilyn Manson, It's taken me a long time to get there from where I could touch M. Manson. Now I got a card to play - you may look into my non-profit, Atwa, and give Manson what you think he's got coming for Air, Trees, Water, and you (sic). "Or I will pay Manson what you think Manson got coming - the music has make Manson into Abraxas Devil, and I'm Sure you would want some of what (more...

It's been exactly two years since Marilyn Manson turned out his last studio album The High End of Low (check out our review of The High End of Low), and in the meantime there's been quite a few shakeups in his wild world... he not only switched record labels, but his long-time drummer Ginger Fish has also moved on to join Rob Zombie's lineup, and his planned film project Phantasmagoria is apparently shelved for good. But there's still a black lining to this silver cloud: Manson's been focusing his attention on a new album, and he's posted a curious teaser from what might be the record's first single. Hit the jump for clues and a clip... In a shaky-cam video clip, Manson reveals less than 30 seconds...

Not only is Rob Zombie involved in pre-production for his next film The Lords of Salem, but he's added even more stuff to his already loaded plate for 2011. You may recall Rob went down a very weird path earlier this year when he filmed a horror-themed commercial for Woolite (yes, the laundry detergent), and he's just wrapped his next small-screen venture – this time a special for Comedy Central. He's also made a big change to his live lineup in time for his summer tour schedule, and we've got details on all of these and more below the fold... Let's start with the band updates: Rob just announced that Ginger Fish, former drummer for Marilyn Manson, is now stepping behind the kit for the June 3rd...

Marilyn Manson Band's drummer Ginger Fish has quit the shock rocker's band after 16 years.
The musician, real name Robert Wilson, has featured on all of the star's studio albums since 1996's "Antichrist Superstar", but announced on Thursday, February 24, he had parted ways with the band.
A statement from him reads, "I have decided to step down as a member of Marilyn Manson and see where my life, and the knowledge of my availability cares to take me.I can't stand by to watch opportunities pass me by simply because the knowledge of my availability wasn't clearly expressed by me. I wish my brothers well, and I expect nothing but great things from them."
Wilson recently joined Rob Zombie's touring band to replace sick Joey Jordison. It is not known if he'll continue with White Zombie.
