At a very early age, Marco went to study harmonies and orchestral arrangements, soon after debuting at 20 years old as the youngest orchestra director at the OTI international music festival, as well as composing for 8 major films in Mexico. The recognition led him to embark on a lasting musical career. Today an accomplished producer, artist and songwriter, Marco has produced hits for artists like Selena, Toni Braxton, Thalia, Gloria Estefan, Carlos Ponce and Ricky Martin, among others, as well as co-ventures with Famous Music Publishing (under direction of Ira Jaffe & Irwin Robinson) and Emilio & Gloria Estefan / Tommy Mottola, developing artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Thalia and Carlos Ponce. Demand for his songs by Univision, Sony, Warner, Televisa, BMG, EMI and other labels has established him firmly as one of the most recognized songwriters in the industry. Marco has produced and written over 1000 songs, three of which placed number one on Billboard's charts in the same year (2000), naming him songwriter of the year by ASCAP. He has achieved an impressive 20 platinum albums and 22 gold albums.
In 2004, after signing with BMI (under direction of CEO Del Bryant), Marco added a new dimension to his success with his own self-titled album, as well as collaborating with Il Divo and co-writing with Diane Warren, the world-wide number one hit "Regresa a Mi", the spanish version of multi-platinum hit "Unbreak my Heart" by Toni Braxton. He has since diversified into film and television and founded his own multi-media company, LB Multimedia. Soon after this, Marco and LB Multimedia were involved in writing music for popular segments in Univision TV series, and later joining forces with Telemundo as Musical Director, writing music for most of their soap operas and TV series. His continued success with Telemundo translated to producing the principal song for the telenovela "Herederos del Monte", and all of the music production as well as several songs for Telemundo's hits "Aurora", "Flor Salvaje", and the TV series "Una Maid en Manhattan", for which he won a BMI Music Award for Best Original Score for a Spanish TV series. Marco concluded 2012 with the musical production for "Rosa Diamante", another Telemundo hit. In 2013, Marco embarked on working on two new super musical productions for Telemundo, "Pasion Prohibida" and "El Señor de los Cielos", which earned him a BMI Music Award for Best Original Score, and best earnings ever on a Spanish Network. In 2014, the success continued with two more major musical productions for Telemundo, "En Otra Piel" and the mostly anticipated "El Señor de los Cielos 2".
From 2015 through 2019, Marco started working on the music production for "El Señor de los Cielos, Seasons 3 through 7", and was also awarded another BMI award for his musical production of "El Señor de Los Cielos" Seasons 3 through 7, giving him an unprecedented 8 BMI Music Award for Best Original Score in Spanish TV Series. Marco will begin working on new productions in film, television and music.
