We're a year away from Sheriff Country's debut on CBS but that doesn't mean we don't know anything about the Morena Baccarin-led spinoff set in the Fire Country universe. We were first introduced to Mickey Fox in season 2 episode 6, "Alert the Sheriff," in a time of personal crisis for the lawwoman whose daughter Sky was recently checked into rehab.
Like with Bode's story, this series will focus on the effect drugs has had on a family, however, for Mickey, this will extend beyond her child. She's contending with the decades long aftermath of her father's arrest due to being a dealer. It'd torn his marriage to Sharon's mother apart and left the two sisters related by bond not by blood to pick up the pieces.
Seeing her nephew go down the wrong road, Mickey had been vigilant about ensuring her daughter was perfect. Sky inevitably wasn't able to live up to her expectations.

Fargo Star Jessica Pohly Talks Playing an Outsider, Working Alongside Talented Cast & What's To Come
Fargo has never been better.
As the veteran series continues through its Golden Globes-nominated fifth season, we've been treated to a deliciously intriguing tale that sees a Midwest housewife suddenly confronting the sins of her past.
The cast is a who's who of Hollywood heavy hitters who bring their A-game to Noah Cawley's enticing and gripping entry into the anthology.
The captivating and scene-stealing Jessica Poly is an essential piece of the well-rounded ensemble as she steps into the role of FBI Agent Meyer, who, alongside Agent Joaquin, are investigating big, bad Roy Tillman's many misdeeds.
Pohly is a standout as Meyer, and as the series turns toward the backend of the season, things will only ramp up for the FBI agent as secrets continue to unravel and all the various threads begin to collide.
TV Fanatic was thrilled to speak with the charming Pohly, whose career continues to shine.

Noah Hawley’s long awaited Alien series will finally begin shooting this year.
“Noah is currently in production on the fifth season of Fargo but he’s in active preproduction on Alien, he’s written scripts,” said FX Boss John Landgraf providing an update at TCA on the long-in-the-works series.
“I think he’s meeting with his production designer in Austin this weekend, gearing up for production this year after he completes the fifth season of Fargo.”
At last year’s virtual TCA winter tour, Landgraf specified that Hawley’s Alien, “takes place before Ripley. It’s the first story that takes place in the Alien franchise on Earth.”
“It takes place on our planet. Right near the end of this century we’re in — so 70-odd years from now,” added Landgraf then.

This article contains spoilers for the seventh episode of "She-Hulk: Attorney At Law."
The latest episode of "She-Hulk: Attorney At Law" expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe in some significant ways with obscure parts of the comic book canon. When Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) is called upon to visit her client Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth), she encounters a supervillain support group. The reformed "Incredible Hulk" antagonist is now dishing out treatment for fellow villains who want to turn their life around. Instead of an episode where She-Hulk battles some baddies, Walters is forced to reconcile with her own insecurities with the help of a close-knit group of supervillains that are pulled straight from the source material.
"She-Hulk" uses a bevy of lesser-known characters from the Marvel Comics canon to fill out the roster seen in the seventh episode. From Man-Bull to the Porcupine, there is a lot to unpack (and...

This post contains spoilers for episode 3 of "She-Hulk: Attorney at law."
"She-Hulk: Attorney At Law" isn't a show that lacks in self-awareness, that's for sure. After the premiere episode charted Jennifer Walters' (Tatiana Maslany) origin story alongside a healthy dose of Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner/Hulk, the second episode (re)introduced Tim Roth's Emil Blonsky/Abomination, a holdover from 2008's "The Incredible Hulk" who many fans wouldn't have expected to see again before his appearance in "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings." Now, today's episode gifted us with yet another cameo by Wong (Benedict Wong), the Sorcerer Supreme who has now made a habit of popping up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when you'd least expect him to. All this was wryly acknowledged early in the third episode, with She-Hulk once again breaking the fourth wall to remind viewers of exactly whose show this is.

Amazon Studios’ sci-fi drama The Expanse has always been a fighter, and it is gearing up to go out with a bang based on the key Season 5 episode titled “Gaugamela,” the script of which serves as the latest entry in Deadline’s It Starts On the Page, our series that highlights the scripts that serve as the creative backbones of the now-underway TV awards season.
The scripts are all being submitted for Emmy consideration this year and have been selected using criteria that includes critical acclaim, a range of networks and platforms, and a mix of established and lesser-known shows.
In November, Amazon gave an early and final renewal for a Season 6 of The Expanse just ahead of its 10-episode Season 5 premiere. It set in motion an endgame to the Alcon-produced series, which is based on the bestselling book series by James S.A. Corey (the nom de plume...

In the span of a couple of weeks, NBC medical drama New Amsterdam, starring Ryan Eggold, found itself eerily blending fiction and reality amid a global pandemic. Set and shot in New York, the epicenter of the Covid-19 outbreak in the U.S., the series, created by David Schulner, had shot an upcoming episode about a deadly flu pandemic in NYC. Soon after that, a recurring guest star, Daniel Dae Kim tested positive for the coronavirus, and a writer and three New Amsterdam crew members got sick.
NBC has decided to pull the flu pandemic episode, originally titled “Pandemic” and later renamed “Our Doors Are Always Open”, which had been initially slated as the show’s next original on April 7. Instead, New Amsterdam, which will be shifting from its Tuesday 10 Pm slot to the 9 Pm hour vacated by This Is Us starting next week, will run repeats the next two weeks,...

Spoiler Alert: This article contains details from the series finale of Criminal Minds.
After 15 seasons, CBS’s long-running procedural created by Jeff Davis is coming to an end. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the gang at the Bau said farewell tonight with back-to-back episodes. Like many series, it ended with a gathering of the cast, glasses of champagne, and tearful speeches. But before they get to the goodbyes, Rossi (Joe Mantegna) and company had to hunt down one more psychopath before popping bottles and toasting the end of an era…and that psychopath was “The Chameleon.”
In the first episode of the two-parter, titled “Face Off,” our favorite Bau denizens are looking for the aforementioned “The Chameleon,” aka Everett Lynch (Michael Mosley), who has an affinity for cutting his victim’s faces off. Warner Bros. has just released the horror comedy Snatchers. Currently on Digital platforms throughout the U.S., Snatchers is a strange film, in which one young woman becomes pregnant with an alien baby! Promoted as a blend of "Aliens meets Mean Girls," this title was picked as one of SXSW's "11 Best Movies of 2019." Created by Stephen Cedars and Benji Kleiman, this film centrally stars: Mary Nepi (Not Cool), Gabrielle Elyse, J.J Nolan, Austin Fryberger, Nick Gomez and Rich Fulcher. A new clip is available for Snatchers, titled "What Happened in Mexico?" right here. The clip shows Sara (Nepi) struggling with her pregnancy and with her ex-boyfriend, Skylar (Fryberger). "Did you... pull out?" Warner Bros Home Entertainment has unveiled the official trailer for a movie titled Snatchers, a horror comedy from the filmmaking duo Stephen Cedars & Benji Kleiman. Some folks may recognize this already, as it's based on the short film and TV series also both titled Snatchers, dealing with the same thing. After status-obsessed teen Sara, played by newcomer Mary Nepi, has sex for the first time, she wakes up the next day nine months pregnant-with an alien. It's a creepy, icky, amusing creature feature pregnancy comedy and it actually lives up to that conceptual potential. Also starring Gabrielle Elyse, J.J. Nolan, Austin Fryberger, Nick Gomez, Rich Fulcher, Amy Landecker, and Ashley Argota. This really, really does look like it might be the best possible version of this pregnancy-as-a-monster metaphor turned into a movie. All the jokes are solid, their friendship works well, might even be better than this looks.

“Clueless” meets “It’s Alive,” among other things, in “Snatchers.” Stephen Cedars and Benji Kleiman’s first feature is a great argument for teenage chastity, in that its high school heroine’s first sexual experience leads overnight to an alien-monster pregnancy and, possibly, the end of the world. See, impulses have consequences!
Moralists may wish that message were delivered a tad more seriously, but there’s a great deal of fun to be had from this high-energy spinoff of an eponymous online series. In a SXSW Midnighters lineup overladen with variable horror comedies, this is at least one genuinely funny entry. It’s got a decent shot at theatrical exposure in addition to bright streaming prospects, all of which will no doubt be boosted by enthusiastic reception on the genre-fest circuit.

The first two episodes premiere Today, Thursday June 22, with additional episodes premiering weekly on Thursdays.
“Snatchers” follows Sara, a status-obsessed high school student, who, to preserve her social standing, has sex for the first time and unexpectedly wakes up pregnant...really pregnant. Things take an interesting turn the morning after she loses her virginity when she quickly discovers she’s pregnant with an alien baby screaming to get out. Now she’ll have to team up with her nerdy ex-best friend Hayley to fight against an extraterrestrial threat, and hopefully keep her mom and friends from finding out about her alien offspring.
“Our goal with ‘Snatchers’ was to bring a human element to the horror-comedy genre. We wanted to create a series that was funny and thrilling, a story with real stakes and honest emotions. We believe the power of the horror-comedy genre lies in playing with people's expectations, creating tension then releasing it through a laugh or a scream -- or hey, both at the same time! Adding a touch of sincerity to that mixture creates something surprisingly unique and visceral,” said The Olde Money Boyz.
