  • The father of the RPG (Role Playing Game) he is best known for co-writing, with Dave Arneson, and co-publishing, with Don Kaye, the famous Dungeons & Dragons role playing game.
  • Samuel Adams beer and butter milk were his preferred after work drink. He later switched to red wine after his strokes.

  • Was associated with Jim Holloway, who did much 'Dungeons and Dragons' artwork.

  • Disliked the work of J.R. Tolkien and The Lord of the Rings stories. He said it was because he found the authors work too dull with not enough action.
  • Was originally a stance conservative, but became a libertarian later in life.
