Matt Bomer and his husband, Simon Halls, have a house full of boys. The "Fellow Travelers" actor and Hollywood publicist share three sons: Kit and twins Henry and Walker, all born via surrogacy and all of whom love to tag along with their famous dads to their events. Previously, the boys have shown up to high-profile red carpets alongside Bomer. The family of five most recently attended Carrie Fisher's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on May 4.
While Bomer and Halls's kids have stepped into the spotlight with them every now and then, the couple - who privately wed in 2011 - are in no rush to see their boys explore fame on their own. "I don't want anybody out on stage any time soon," Bomer told People back in 2015. "I want them to have a nice, normal childhood."

Vanity Fair’s annual Oscar party took place Sunday at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. I have all the details from inside the event, which as usual attracted the most elite of the Hollywood set who poured in after watching Everything Everywhere All at Once score seven Oscar trophies including Best Picture.
We managed to get our hands on the guest list for the event, held in a 3,000-square-foot indoor reception area, with additional courtyards and other outdoor lounge spaces. The main bar, a prime gathering spot, was 40 feet long. The guests danced into the early-morning hours.

While the Golden Globes are officially coming back to NBC this January after a one-year hiatus, many in Hollywood are still playing “wait and see” over how whether to participate, with one top publicist telling TheWrap that stars, studios and publicists are “cautiously assessing everything” before determining whether to welcome back the much the Hollywood Foreign Press Association with open arms.
Amanda Lundberg, CEO of 42West who was among the more than 100 publicity executives who declined to participate in HFPA events since March 2021, said publicists and stars are making their own determination on whether the HFPA has instituted enough reforms to warrant participation in its annual awards show.
“There’s no consensus. People will make their own decisions,” Lundberg told TheWrap. “We don’t have to agree on everything, we just have to respect each other.”

A bonfire of vanities is blazing around the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, as the mid-year mark approaches and discussions intensify over the fate of the 2023 Golden Globe Awards. He is video-calling from the bright attic room of the home he shares with his husband, the Hollywood publicist Simon Halls, and their three sons; a rubber plant yoo-hoos over his shoulder. The move bucks a recent trend in the entertainment industry where clusters of publicists have peeled away from bigger agencies with their clients to form boutiques.
The agency will be steered by chairman Cindi Berger, CEO Mark Owens and Chairman of the Entertainment Division Alan Nierob. Shirley Hughes will be President of its Brand Marketing division, Fran Curtis and Brad Cafarelli will be Vice-Chairman of the Entertainment Division and Bill Rosenthal its COO/CFO.

Greg Berlanti is television’s most prolific producer.
With a record-breaking 18 series from his production company greenlit for the 2019-2020 season, the openly gay Berlanti is using his power to ensure the Lgbtq community is reflected on the small screen — both in front of and behind the camera.
From casting the first transgender superhero on TV with Nicole Maines on “Supergirl” to bringing on the first superhero series lead by lesbian character with the CW’s “Batwoman,” which debuts this fall, Berlanti is doing his part to increase representation in TV and movies, directing the 2018 film “Love, Simon,” which was the first major studio film to focus on a gay teen romance. However, Berlanti — who, early in his career, fought for the gay kiss in “Dawson’s Creek,” which made broadcast history as the first passionate kiss between two men — says the movie biz still has a lot of work to do.

Mayor and Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg has canceled a big L.A. fundraiser scheduled for Wednesday at the home of Ryan Murphy and husband David Miller, following an officer-involved shooting in South Bend, Indiana, Deadline has confirmed. It was the centerpiece of a string of fundraisers Buttigieg had planned this week for California, but he opted to stay in South Bend, where he serves as mayor, to handle the fallout from the shooting. The fundraiser will be rescheduled, we were told, but no date has been set as of now.
Buttigieg called a late-night press conference Sunday in South Bend to announce he was canceling the fundraisers to address the shooting, promising to get to the bottom of what happened.
Co-sponsors who had signed on to fundraising event at Murphy and Miller’s home included Matt Bomer, Simon Halls, Bryan Lourd, Bruce Bozzi, Greg Berlanti, Robbie Rogers, Kevin Huvane and Billy Eichner.

Actor Matt Bomer says it is a great time in Hollywood as people are writing gay characters with three dimensions.
Bomer opened up about it when he sat down for an episode of "The Big Ticket", Variety and iHeart's movie podcast, to talk about his new movie "Papi Chulo", reports variety.com.
Since publicly coming out in 2012 when he thanked his husband and Hollywood publicist Simon Halls and their three sons while accepting an award from an AIDS organization, Bomer has played a slew of gay characters.
In the DC Universe series "Doom Patrol", he stars as gay superhero Larry Trainor. He is about to start shooting "The Boys in the Band", the Netflix movie adaptation of the Tony-nominated Broadway play revival of the same name about a group of gay men in New York in the late 1960s.

Matt Bomer plays a weatherman in his new movie “Papi Chulo,” but he didn’t shadow TV meteorologists to prepare for the role.
What he was most concerned about was making sure the nervous breakdown his character has on live television was believable. To capture those emotions, he did a deep dive on the internet.
“I don’t want to say it’s there for your viewing pleasure because I’m not about laughing at the expense of others, but there are some documented breakdowns on camera that people have had,” Bomer explains. “There’s one, and he’s very open about this on so I feel okay sharing about this, [ABC News’] Dan Harris specifically had a nervous breakdown on camera. So I watched a lot of that.” (Harris chronicled the experience in his 2014 memoir “10% Happier.”)

If Amy Pascal looked a bit wobbly accepting a Golden Globe for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, it's because the 60-year-old former Sony chief broke her foot while on the set of Little Women, the Greta Gerwig adaptation she's producing that stars Saoirse Ronan and Emma Watson.
Pascal had no trouble weaving her way through the packed ballroom, though she did require a bit of assistance from Spider-Verse co-director Bob Persichetti to get up the stairs to the podium.
