It's been more than three years since we last saw Spider-Man swing across buildings and fight iconic villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Granted, new Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man episodes are being released on Disney Plus, but that story takes place in an alternate reality where the wall-crawler never went to Midtown High or got to meet Mj. On the other hand, audiences have yet to learn the fate of Tom Holland's Peter Parker after the whole world forgot he ever existed.
Anticipation is at an all-time high for Spider-Man 4 to break the character's long hiatus on the big screen and deliver a memorable adventure able to surpass its predecessor in every way. With all eyes set on the movie, rumors have been starting to fly left and right trying to paint a clearer picture of what awaits in store. Shockingly enough, it seems a big death might take place,...

“You either die a hero or stick around long enough to become the villain”, and that is exactly what seems to be Kevin Feige’s plan with Robert Downey Jr. in the MCU. While the Dceu had its fair share of stumbles, the DC projects outside of it have been thriving!

From Nolan’s Batman trilogy to Joker and shows like The Penguin, these independent adaptations prove just how much untapped potential the DC universe holds. And thus, this should be a wake-up call for both Rdj and Feige, here is why!
How DC villains are winning the awards game?
Colin Farrell has officially joined an exclusive club, becoming only the third actor to win a Critics Choice Award for portraying a comic book villain, following in the footsteps of Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix for their respective portrayals as Joker.

‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is going to be Sam Wilson’s first standalone outing as Captain America, but it’s also going to be Danny Ramirez’s first movie outing as Falcon, taking on the mantle from Anthony Mackie himself.
Lieutenant Joaquín Torres is a U.S. Air Force officer and a close friend of Sam Wilson. After the Blip, he met Sam during a mission and helped him fight the Flag Smashers. When Sam became the new Captain America, he passed his Falcon wingsuit to Torres, making him the new Falcon.
So far, Ramirez has one MCU project, under the belt – ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ but beyond ‘Brave New World’ the actor clearly hopes for more.
Danny Ramirez recently humorously said that he’s always ready and waiting for a call from Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, to reprise his role as Falcon in ‘Avengers: Doomsday.

The first trailer of the upcoming MCU film The Fantastic Four: First Steps was recently released. The franchise will see the introduction of Marvel’s first family with Pedro Pascal leading the incredible superheroes. The film stars The Bear’s Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Vanessa Kirby, and Joseph Quinn in lead roles.
The superheroes have already been adapted to live-action twice, and Reed Richards has once been shown in the MCU (John Krasinski in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness). However, the franchise is all set to delve deep into the lore of the Four without just focusing on their origin stories like the other adaptations.

We all know comic book characters love to return from the dead. It's kind of their thing. There was that time Kamala Khan died as an Inhuman only to be revived as a Mutant later on, and we can't forget how Spidey is the protagonist of a story called The Eight Deaths of Spider-Man where — you guessed it — he has been biting the dust over and over again. Even characters whose deaths were permanent have found a way to make a comeback through time travel or alternate realities (looking at you Gwen Stacy). No matter what way we see it, no one is truly gone in Marvel comics.
So far, history has been a little bit different in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Iron Man, Black Widow, Quicksilver, Yondu, and Odin are all truly gone. However, that doesn't mean there haven't been a few exceptions here and there such as Phil Coulson or Loki.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has one of the biggest selection of heroes in pop culture history. From Iron Man to Deadpool, the Multiverse has no shortage of thrilling and mighty characters.

Earlier this week, Deadpool & Wolverine star Hugh Jackman cancelled his planned concert in London's Hyde Park on July 6. Performing at an event as big as the BST Hyde Park festival would have been a huge deal for the actor and isn't something it's easy to pull out of.
Taking to X, Jackman said, "Due to an unforeseen conflict in my schedule, I am deeply disappointed to announce I will be unable to perform in Hyde Park this July 6th." At the event, the actor was set to perform songs from the likes of The Boy from Oz, Les Miserables, The Music Man, and The Greatest Showman.
As you've probably figured out from the headline, it hasn't taken Marvel fans long to put 2+2 together and conclude that this must mean Jackman will be too busy shooting Avengers: Doomsday to perform in London.

Last week, we attended the global press conference for Captain America: Brave New World. Excitement for the movie among fans continues to build as that February 14 release date nears, especially with Avengers: Doomsday next up for Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson.
It's there we expect Sam Wilson to lead a new team of Avengers against Doctor Doom, cementing himself not only as the McU's Captain America but a hero worthy of assembling Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
Here's what Mackie told us when we asked him how Captain America: Brave New World prepares the former Falcon for what we'll see in Avengers: Doomsday next year:
"Well, this movie establishes Sam as his own being, his own entity or incarnation of Captain America. And the fact that he's never taken the serum, the fact that he's every man's Captain America, I think that'll have an effect and will pay off greatly in the future of the franchise,...

As the rumor mill continues to swirl for Marvel Studios' upcoming X-Men reboot, the latest update comes to us from a more reliable source than an anonymous scooper as journalist Jeff Sneider (via The InSneider newsletter) is now reporting that Julia Butters (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood; The Gray Man; The Fabelmans) is being eyed for the role of Kitty Pryde in X-Men.
He also doubles down on his previous report that Sadie Sink (Stranger Things; The Whale; The Glass Castle) is the current frontrunner to land the role of Jean Grey, and adds that Harris Dickinson (Babygirl; The Iron Claw; The King's Man) is being looked to play the team's leader Scott Summers, a.k.a. Cyclops.
At the time of this posting, Butters is 15, Sink is 22, and Dickinson is 28, so Marvel definitely wants younger talent to take on these storied roles and likely play them for the next decade plus.

Robert Downey Jr. is often commended for his star power and earning a fat paycheck for his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Upon his return to the franchise, this time as Doctor Doom, the actor is reported to earn yet another fat paycheck that is reported to be around $100 million. This not only makes him one of the highest-paid MCU stars but also one of the highest-paid actors as well.

Marvel Studios is gearing up for its take on Secret Wars, and there’s a big question—will it follow the 1984 version or the 2015 story? According to Cosmic Circus insider Alex Perez, we should expect more from the 2015 version but with a few nods to the older one.
If you’re wondering what to read before the movie, a fan asked Perez for recommendations on Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. His answer? Anything written by Jonathan Hickman from the Time Runs Out and Secret Wars era. Those stories lay the groundwork for what’s coming, making them must-reads.
For those unfamiliar, Secret Wars (2015) was a game-changer. Hickman built up to it through Avengers and New Avengers, leading to a massive collision of worlds. The Time Runs Out arc shows the slow collapse of reality, with heroes scrambling to stop the inevitable.

The Jonathan Majors and Marvel Studios relationship is a saga in itself for how it has affected the MCU in recent years. Following Majors’ arrest and conviction in a domestic assault case, the studio severed ties with the Kang the Conqueror actor. It also reshaped its slate of films to replace the famous villain with a returning Robert Downey Jr set to play Doctor Doom.

According to new rumors, the studio is reportedly interested in bringing Majors back in the role of the time-traveling, reality-conquering villain. As a result, Marvel fans quickly jumped online and shared their thoughts on this unexpected update, recalling a similar action the studio took after initially firing James Gunn. Here is what fans are saying about Majors’ rumored Marvel return.

Is there a chance Marvel Studios will ask Jonathan Majors to return to the MCU as Kang the Conqueror now that the actor is attempting to mount a comeback?
Last year, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Loki star was found guilty of two misdemeanour counts of harassment and assault, as well as not guilty on two additional charges of intentional assault in the third degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree against then girlfriend Grace Jabbari.
Though some industry insiders believed that the judge might decide to give Majors a "taste of jail," he managed to escape with one year of domestic violence counseling, which he has now served. Jabbari also dismissed the federal lawsuit against him last November.
Marvel decided to pivot away from Kang after Majors was sentenced, and announced that Robert Downey Jr. would play Doctor Doom in the Avengers movie that was originally known as The Kang Dynasty.

2025 marks a whole new era for Captain America. Chris Evans stepped back from the role in 2019 following Avengers: Endgame, where his character Steve Rogers retired from being a superhero, handing the shield over to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie). Soon, Mackie will make his big screen debut as our all-new Cap in Brave New World, which comes out in just over a week!
Since retiring from the role of Captain America, Chris Evans has already returned to the MCU once, appearing briefly in Deadpool & Wolverine last year. However, he appeared not as Captain America but rather Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, a character he played way back in Fantastic Four (2005).
Clearly, Evans hasn't completely given up on the idea of appearing in the MCU. It's obvious that Marvel Studios would love to see him come back. I mean, the team have already brought back franchise legend Robert Downey Jr....

For the first few phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the ultimate big bad was Thanos, played by Josh Brolin. He was defeated in 2019's Avengers: Endgame, and Marvel set about finding a new main villain. They chose Kang the Conqueror, played by Lovecraft Country veteran Jonathan Majors. Kang (or a Kang variant from an alternate dimension) had major roles in Loki and Ant-Man 3, but Disney's plans hit a huge snag when Majors was found guilty of harassment and of reckless assault in the third degree following an incident with his ex-partner Grace Jabbari. He was sentenced to serve 52 weeks at an in-person domestic violence intervention program. Disney cut ties with Majors after that, and Kang was written out of the MCU.

Marvel’s First Family is finally set for launch, as the studio has revealed the first teaser trailer for Fantastic Four: First Steps. Starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the titular quartet, the highly anticipated film opens July 25th. Check out the preview below.
As was previously revealed, the movie takes place in a 1960s-inspired retro-futuristic world where the Fantastic Four are already established as heroic adventurers. When the exactly-as-advertised Silver Surfer (Julia Garner) arrives, it heralds the approach of the world-devouring cosmic giant Galactus (Ralph Ineson).
How this all fits into the current MCU Multiverse Saga — alternate reality? Time travel? Historical retcon? — is yet to be seen. But some of the Fantastic Four have already appeared in previous Marvel films: John Krasinski made a fan-cast cameo as Mister Fantastic/Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Chris Evan’s Human...

Over 15 years after the Marvel Cinematic Universe first began, Kevin Feige is finally getting set to unveil Marvel's newest take on its first family. Long considered a bedrock of the franchise since their earliest appearance in the comics, the fan-favorite members of the Fantastic Four haven't been able to coexist alongside the rest of the MCU. That's officially changing with the studio's long-awaited blockbuster, formally (and fittingly) titled "The Fantastic Four: First Steps." We've only received brief glimpses of what the film will have to offer to this point, from the star-laden cast to the scene-stealing robot H.E.R.B.I.E to the reveal that the plot will be set in the 1960s and possibly involve some alternate universe hijinks.
It's the dawn of a new day, however, as Marvel has now unleashed a brand-new, full-length trailer for what might very well be the most highly-anticipated superhero movie...

Marvel’s first family has taken its first steps all over again.

Slated to arrive in theaters on July 25, The Fantastic Four: The First Steps is set decades before the events of the Avengers saga in a retro-future version of the 1960s. “It’s a lot about the space race and about voyaging out there,” director Matt Shakman (WandaVision) told Entertainment Weekly during last year’s San Diego Comic-Con. “So First Steps is partly to do with that idea about exploration.”

What Did Benedict Cumberbatch Say About Dr Strange’s Future In The MCU? (Photo Credit – Facebook)
Benedict Cumberbatch became a world-famous actor after his career breakthroughs in BBC’s Sherlock and his long-running role as Doctor Stephen Strange in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the announcement of two upcoming Avengers films, namely Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, Benedict’s potential involvement in them has come under renewed attention, and in a January 2025 interview with Variety, Benedict finally gave some answers on his future at the MCU.
The actor revealed that he will no longer be present in 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday, thanks in part to the retooling the movie received after Jonathan Majors‘ firing. Benedict also spoke about his upcoming film, The Thing With Feathers, and how he approaches acting.

By now, we're sure you're all familiar with the legal issues which resulted in Loki star Jonathan Majors being dropped from his role as the McU's Kang the Conqueror.
Being found guilty of two misdemeanour counts of assault and harassment derailed Majors' career and he's since served a 52-week in-person domestic violence intervention program. In simplistic terms, he did the crime and served his time, so does that mean he should forever be ostracised from Hollywood?
There are plenty of actors who have done much worse and been quickly forgiven so it's a tricky subject that remains up for debate.

Disney was keen not to make the same mistake as Johnny Depp when it came to Jonathan Majors. The Kang actor was fired only after he was convicted in the misdemeanor assault and harassment case filed by his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. Majors avoided jail time and was sentenced to 52 weeks in a domestic violence intervention program.

According to a new report, Kevin Feige now wants the actor back in the MCU even though Avengers: The Kang Dynasty was scrapped in favor of Avengers: Doomsday. The studio may consider his court-ordered sentencing as a sufficient punishment for his actions. If true, this is a significant shift from what Disney did to Depp.

No one is ever truly gone in the world of comic books. Through various supernatural ways that be can used in specific lores to revive dearly departed characters to the endless possibilities of the multiverse that can bring in alternate versions of those characters from another world, the comic book medium has defied the natural order of things time and time again.
Remember how Arrow revived Sara Lance using the Lazarus Pit? What about how it brought in the Earth-2 version of her sister, the Black Canary, after senselessly killing off the Earth-1 version? That's just one example of that, and the Arrowverse franchise as a whole was arguably ahead of its time considering the multiverse is everywhere nowadays - largely due to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's take on the phenomenon.

There's a lot of intrigue surrounding how Avengers: Doomsday will handle Doctor Doom, especially as original plans called for Kang the Conqueror to be the movie's big bad (back when it was called Avengers: The Kang Dynasty).
Throw in the fact that rumours continue to swirl about Avengers: Secret Wars rebooting the MCU for the next Saga of storytelling, and it's clear these movies will be even more impactful than Infinity War and Endgame.
The Cosmic Circus has shared some intriguing new details today, starting with plans for Robert Downey Jr.'s Victor Von Doom. According to the site's Alex Perez, he's still hearing that the actor will bid farewell to the role after Secret Wars, countering reports of him sticking around as the villain. However, it's said, "There's a reason he has that face."

It was a big enough surprise when Harrison Ford agreed to return to the Star Wars franchise as Han Solo, so the fact he's joined the MCU - as a Red Hulk, no less - is still pretty mind-blowing.
Making his debut in Captain America: Brave New World next month, the actor appears excited to board a franchise he's watched many of his contemporaries have fun in. Beyond that, only time will tell whether Red Hulk is a one-and-done villain or a key part of future stories.
Ford isn't the first actor to play Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross as the late William Hurt was originally cast as the antagonist in 2008's The Incredible Hulk. He took an extended break from the MCU before returning in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Black Widow.

Iron Man’s legacy in the MCU has largely rested on Spider-Man. With Peter Parker finally embarking on his own adventures, there are a few key characters that exist as a legacy of Tony Stark, barring Peter – Morgan and Pepper.
Ty Simpkins’ Harley Keener In Avengers: Endgame || Marvel Studios
Rhodey has had an odd arc in the MCU, having been replaced by a Skrull at some point. The fact that he was in a hospital gown, suggests that he might have been swapped out as far back as Civil War, which means he probably does not know that Tony is dead, and has had a child with Pepper.
Riri Williams, or Ironheart made her debut in Wakanda Forever, being the closest thing that the MCU has to an active Iron Man as of now. However, there is one character that has yet to receive a story, and that is Ty Simpkin’s Harley Keener.

After the massive triumph of Avengers: Endgame, the MCU charged full speed into the Multiverse Saga, hyping Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror as the next Thanos-level threat. With infinite realities at play, the possibilities seemed endless.

But the universe as they say had other plans. A mix of creative blunders and real-world setbacks turned Kang’s reign into more of a fizzle than a domination the fans had hoped for. And honestly? It was never going to work, here’s why.
Why Kang never would have worked, even if Jonathan Majors stayed in the MCU?
Marvel wanted Kang to be the next Thanos, but the hype never quite landed. His debut in Loki’s “He Who Remains” was a promising start, ominous, charismatic, and full of cryptic warnings about his dangerous variants. It set the stage for something big, teasing the chaos to come.

So Chris Evans isn’t returning for Avengers: Doomsday? Well … according to Captain America himself, he isn’t.
Though The Hollywood Reporter confirmed in December that Evans would be dipping back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actor is now denying those reports.
Evans recently told Esquire magazine, as part of a cover story on Anthony Mackie, “That’s not true, though. This always happens. I mean, it happens every couple years — ever since Endgame. I’ve just stopped responding to it. Yeah, no — happily retired!”

Curious things are happening with Avengers: Doomsday. First, Robert Downey Jr. is returning as Doctor Doom with little indication of whether he would be related to Tony. Benedict Cumberbatch, who is still very involved with the MCU as Doctor Strange, initially said Strange was not going to appear in Avengers: Doomsday, saying, “the character not aligning with this part of the story.” Then, Cumberbatch walked back his comments, saying, “I got that wrong, I am in the next one.” He then followed up with, “Don’t ever believe anything I say.” Late last year, it was reported that Chris Evans was set to return to the MCU for Avengers: Doomsday, but all that was said was, “will be involved in some capacity, but the extent and exact nature of his role is unknown.“

Anthony Mackie and Chris Evans spent five years making Marvel movies together as Sam Wilson/Falcon and Steve Rogers/Captain America. Their characters were close friends, with Steve bestowing the Captain America shield to Sam at the end of 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame.” That decision reaches its full potential in Marvel’s upcoming “Captain America: Brave New World,” in which Mackie is now the eponymous freedom fighter. So what did Mackie make of the surprise news that Evans is returning to Marvel in 2026’s “Avengers: Doomsday”?
“I didn’t know!” Mackie told Esquire magazine as part of a new cover story. “I talked to Chris a few weeks ago and it wasn’t on the table then. Benedict Cumberbatch recently dropped a surprising update on his MCU return as Doctor Strange, confirming (or appearing to confirm) that he wouldn't be a part of Avengers: Doomsday, but would be back as the (former) Sorcerer Supreme for Secret Wars.

‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ the second-to-last movie in MCU’s Phase Five, will be released on February 14, 2025. Fans are excited to see Anthony Mackie as the new Captain America, replacing Chris Evans’ character.

Mackie’s Captain America has faced criticism for not having the super-soldier serum, instead relying on his suit and advanced Wakandan tech. Others have questioned whether he can carry a movie on his own—something that remains to be seen.

It has been a while since we have heard the incandescent phrase “Avengers Assemble” on the big screen. And we can’t really blame Marvel, as the MCU is still struggling to find a strong footing. Without a proper build-up like Phase 1, 2, and 3, one cannot expect to get a reaction as profound as the Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame movies received. However, Kevin Feige is definitely cooking up something with the MCU; a Secret Wars recipe that we can only smell from a distance for now.
With all the flops and disappointments at the box office, Marvel has taken a step back with the number of yearly releases to work on its quality. The upcoming Avengers films, Doomsday and Secret Wars, are supposed to bring back the same zeal and emotions fans once felt while watching Infinity War and Endgame.

Besides being MCU megastars, Benedict Cumberbatch and Robert Downey Jr. both played the famous detective Sherlock Holmes in different projects. Cumberbatch starred in the BBC series ‘Sherlock,’ while Downey played him in the ‘Sherlock Holmes’ movies.
Benedict Cumberbatch revealed that ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ almost included a joke about him and Robert Downey Jr. both playing Sherlock Holmes in separate projects. Although no joke made it into the movie, the two actors laughed about their shared connection while filming together.
We had a gas about being the two Sherlocks on set.

Cumberbatch explained that there was originally a line in the script where someone would say, “No sh*t, Sherlock.” However, they decided to remove the joke, thinking it was better suited for fan fiction rather than the movie.
