Robertson Hare
Robertson Hare, most well known to British audiences for his portrayals of a bald headed and hen pecked husband in the film versions of Ben Travers West End of London farces, began his stage career at age 20. His trademark was losing his trousers during a stage performance and then exclaiming, "Oh! Calamity." Much later,at the age of 75, he became popular again with a new and larger audience for his television role as the Archdeacon the Venerable Henry Blunt in a sitcom, All Gas and Gaiters. He summed up his long career in a 1958 autobiography.
