ABC’s Once Upon a Time may have ended on May 18, 2018, but the fandom for the fairytale series is alive and well — especially at Ccxp in Sao Paulo. The crowd was chanting “Lana!” Lana! Lana!” before the show’s star Lana Parrilla stepped on the stage. They had to wait a little longer as a video of Parrilla’s greatest hits as the Evil Queen, Regina and Roni played and with each scene, the crowd went wilder and wilder with ear-piercing cheers. Sao Paulo may be the epicenter of Lana Parrilla fandom.
Parrilla walked out on stage and soaked in the love exclaiming, “Wow! I love you, thank you!”
The moderator told Parrilla that fans have been wanting her to come to Sao Paulo since 2014. Fans even signed a petition to have her attend the confab and, well, it worked.
The panel was definitely all for the fans as they...

In an age when people are far too used to blasting through entire seasons (or series) in a weekend, it’s a pleasure to celebrate the concept of the great episode: a concise bite of storytelling that functions as its own narrative as well as a part of a larger whole.
Last year’s list was 25 episodes, but expanding this list to 30 became necessary given the incredible scope of television to be considered — across all platforms, there was too much to celebrate. Some of the series below represent the year’s most significant programs, while others may not have made IndieWire’s best-of lists, but deserved recognition for what they achieved within individual installments. From soul-deep despair to giggle-inducing joy, the range of TV in 2018 covered all corners of the human existence.

Although a portion of the Arrowverse is unfortunately on hiatus yet again for the time being, the truth of the matter is that we’re about to begin the final stretch of episodes for the season, so now is the time to get excited. In fact, Legends of Tomorrow will be wrapping up things a little bit earlier because, don’t forget, it tends to enjoy shorter seasons than that of its sister shows. Still, there’s a tad more of Arrow for us to look forward to, which we’ll touch on momentarily.
First, let’s discuss Legends of Tomorrow, which has thankfully been able to continue on without any interruption in recent memory.
On Monday, April 2, season 3’s penultimate episode will arrive in the form of the blatantly titled “Guest Starring John Noble.” Yes, he may technically serve as the voice of Mallus, but we learned not long...

After being forced into hibernation for a few weeks thanks to the 2018 Winter Olympics, The Flash is finally ready to get back to business. And with Barry Allen now finally out of the clink, we hope the show can recapture some of the old magic – or lightning in a bottle, if we’re to be more on the nose.
So, as DeVoe continues to body-hop – this time in the skin of Hazard – Team Flash make a mad dash to locate the rest of the bus metas, as laid out in a new featurette that you can view at the top. Taking us on the guided tour is none other than executive producer Todd Helbing, who gives us a decent idea of what to expect from “Subject 9.”
Speaking of which, one can’t help but assume that “Subject 9” is that of the Fiddler, who’s out to prove that guest characters can get lamer.

With the 14th episode airing in a couple of weeks, The Flash season 4 is heating up now, as the game of wits between Barry Allen, his friends and the Thinker intensifies. In case you need to remind yourself of just how much fun the past few months have been, though, The CW’s got you covered with the new promo up above.
The trailer features clips taken from what we’ve already seen so far, showing off the highs and lows of recent times in Central City. Let’s not forget that Barry began this year by emerging from the Speed Force reborn, coming back with a new attitude and increased powers. Later on, he got married to the love of his life, Iris West, before enduring a spell in prison – until his friends pulled together to get him out.
Speaking of which, the promo also highlights several other super-powered members of Team Flash.

Barry Allen is now back out of prison, but that doesn’t mean his troubles are over. In the next episode of The Flash, titled “Subject 9,” the Thinker will continue his/her masterplan as Team Flash comes up against a new metahuman.
In last week’s episode, Ralph shapeshifting into DeVoe got Barry released from prison – but the real DeVoe is still one step ahead of them. The Thinker is now inside the body of Becky Sharpe/Hazard (Sugar Lyn Beard) and we know from the promo for “Subject 9” that his next target will be Izzy Aka the Fiddler (Miranda McDougall).
In the comics, the Fiddler is a male member of the Flash’s rogues who’s also teamed up with the Injustice Society and the Black Lantern Corps. The meta uses their fiddling skills to hypnotize others and on The Flash, the character has not only been gender-bent, but...

Although we could probably keep going back and forth when it comes to what the last few episodes of The Flash had to offer, I hope that we can all agree it’s for the better that Barry Allen has finally been exonerated and is out of prison. To borrow from the title of the Scarlet Speedster’s inaugural story arc in the New 52, we can now “move forward.”
Of course, we’re going to have to wait to see whatever lies ahead, as the network has placed this and several other of its shows on a brief hiatus for the next few weeks. As such, we had not much to go on last week other than a new promo video.
Fortunately, there’s now this synopsis for the returning episode, “Subject 9”:

Hey, "Once Upon A Time" fans. It's time to get even more excited. ABC just recently put out their very first episode press release for the show's upcoming premiere episode 1 of it's 7th season! The press release contains a teaser description for the episode. They also revealed what the episode's title is. It's named, "Hyperion Heights." This first episode sounds like it'll be quite interesting as we'll see Henry leave Storybrooke to see if he can make his own story. It reads like this: "Henry Mills Embarks On A New Journey Where Adventure Awaits And Danger Looms On The Season Premiere Of ABC’S ‘Once Upon A Time.’" In this first press release, they provided a general description of the new season. The first season of Legends of Tomorrow was met with mixed reviews, but season 2 has been considerably better so far. Part of that’s because the show’s been throwing huge twists and turns at fans pretty much each and every week, with the biggest being the villainous transformation of Rip Hunter.
Left without his memories after saving the team in the premiere, the Reverse-Flash and his Legion of Doom soon tracked him down and reprogrammed his mind so that he would do their bidding. Now, the Legends have him back and they’re hoping to travel into his subconscious in order to return Rip to his old self as their leader and the man who knows more about time travel than anyone else.

Still riding high after last week’s DC TV crossover, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow looks to carry that momentum into what will hopefully be a strong midseason finale in “The Chicago Way.”
In the video embedded at the top, executive producer Marc Guggenheim gives us a general idea what to expect from tonight’s episode when the Legends travel back to, you guessed it, prohibition era Chicago. While there, you can anticipate seeing Dominic Purcell continue to steal every scene with his awesome interpretation of Heat Wave. Not only that, but the Legion of Doom will seemingly add to their ranks – which already include The Reverse Flash and Damien Darhk – with the addition of Malcolm Merlyn and, quite possibly, a returning Captain Cold.
The second visual offering sees the Waverider crew break up some shady activity that Al Capone is engaging in down at the docks (where else?) in a rather action-packed sequence.

Tonight’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow brought the “Invasion!” crossover to a close in style, but it also nicely set the stage for what’s to come in the series. Martin Stein is hiding the fact that he’s created an aberration in the form of a daughter who previously didn’t exist, while clues about Rip Hunter’s disappearance were offered in the message left by the future Barry Allen.
How much of that will be addressed in next week’s midseason finale remains to be seen, but in the first official images from “The Chicago Way,” we get to see the Legends pay a visit to the 1920s. They’re there to try and stop the Reverse-Flash, but now that he’s recruited both Damien Darhk and Malcolm Merlyn to his Legion of Doom, that may very well be easier said that done.

The CW has released a first look at next week’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow, and it’s clear that things are about to get a whole lot worse for the team now that they’re back on their time travelling adventures. It was in tonight’s instalment that they helped thwart the “Invasion,” but with the Legion of Doom about to assemble, aliens are the least of their worries.
As you can see in the promo above, the Reverse-Flash and Damien Darhk are about to recruit Malcolm Merlyn to their villainous group. However, the biggest surprise here is the return of Wentworth Miller’s Captain Cold. He sacrificed himself in the season 1 finale of Legends of Tomorrow, but this version looks a lot more like his former villainous self.

Tom Felton channels a little Draco Malfoy in this clip from tonight's second episode from Season 2 of The Flash. As Barry looks to discover more about the small changes to the timeline caused by his latest trip back in time (seriously, Joe and Iris on bad terms is just weird), he'll have to figure out why Julian hates him so much. Reverse-Flash did warn Barry that there's always a price to pay with changing history, even when you seemingly return things to their natural order. Also, what are the Vegas odds on Felton turning out to be this season's big bad, Dr. Alchemy? Or do you think that's a little too obvious? The Flash is all new tonight, at 8/7c on The CW. Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes the effects from Flashpoint are much greater than he thought. Meanwhile, Barry meets new co-worker Julian Albert (Tom Felton) and is surprised by...

I’m sure I’m not the only one who had their mind blown by the closing minutes of the season premiere of The Flash, which aired last night. Seriously, how would you feel upon thinking you set the timeline straight only to find out two of the people you love most aren’t on speaking terms and you apparently have an arch-nemesis that you know nothing of? Such is the new life of Barry Allen.
The extended trailer embedded at the top is especially interesting because, unlike last night’s initially released promo, it gives us our first real teaser of the Caitlin Snow we’ve come to know taking her first step toward becoming Killer Frost. Granted, we saw her Earth-2 doppelganger fully embrace this persona, but watching her possibly enter a downward spiral and become one of The Flash’s deadliest enemies should make for some great television.

The Flash returned to The CW tonight, and while it didn’t exactly adapt the “Flashpoint” storyline fans know from the comic books, it did deliver a very intimate and interesting tale which has still shaken up the show’s status quo in a major way moving forward.
Realizing that he had no other choice than to allow the Reverse-Flash to kill his mother in order to return things to how they used to be, Barry went home only to discover that Joe and Iris no longer have any sort of relationship. As a result, we’re left to wonder how much else has now changed, and the promo above does a great job of teasing that.

What an episode, eh? The Flash isn't going to give us much time to catch out breath after that action-packed premiere though as the promo below makes it clear that "Flashpoint" has had some major ramifications on the original timeline. That includes the sudden arrival of Dr. Alchemy, though it's what's going on with Cisco that seems to be the most intriguing thing here. Share your theories below. Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes the effects from Flashpoint are much greater than he thought. Meanwhile, Barry meets new co-worker Julian Albert (Tom Felton) and is surprised by Julian’s immediate disdain for him. Ralph Hemecker directed the episode written by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing.

The CW has released the first official images from the second episode of The Flash‘s third season, and by far the biggest reveal in them is the return of Jay Garrick. After being impersonated by the villainous Zoom last year, the real version was unmasked in the finale before heading off to Earth-2 with Harrison Wells and his daughter.
What bring him back to Earth-1 remains to be seen, but don’t be surprised if it has something to do with the Flashpoint fallout which ensues after Barry Allen raced back in time to save his mother’s life and changed history in the process (that rather selfish decision could also explain why he and Joe seem to be at odds in the gallery above).

Someone else who gets a fair bit of attention here is Tom Felton’s Julian Albert.

Take a look @ new images from "The Flash" episode "Paradox", written by Aaron Helbing, Todd Helbing and directed by Ralph Hemecker, loosely based on the DC animated feature "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox", airing October 11, 2016 on The CW:
"...'Barry' (Grant Gustin) realizes the effects from 'Flashpoint' are much greater than he thought.
"Meanwhile, Barry meets new co-worker 'Julian Albert' (Tom Felton) and is surprised by Julian’s immediate dislike for the 'Scarlet Speedster'..."
"Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox" is a direct-to-video animated film adaptation of the 2011 DC Comics' crossover "Flashpoint" by Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert:
"...while visiting his mother's grave, 'Barry Allen' is alerted to a break-in by 'Captain Cold', 'Captain Boomerang', 'Heat Wave', 'Mirror Master', and the 'Top. Defeating the 'Rogues', Barry discovers that they have been hired by his archenemy 'Eobard Thawne' aka 'Reverse-Flash' as part of a plan to destroy 'Central City'.

With both The Flash and Arrow set to return in just under two weeks, it’s time to start looking beyond their respective season premieres. Fortunately, official synopses have been released pertaining to their second episodes that further detail what we can expect from these fan favorite superhero shows going forward.
We’ll start with The Flash, not only because it airs first but also because it’s somewhat charting the course for the rest of The CW’s DC-based shows with its “Flashpoint” premiere event. With its second episode, “Paradox,” it looks like Barry will have already set the timeline straight – for the most part. That doubly makes sense because continuing one show in an alternate timeline for too many consecutive episodes while others are progressing as they normally would could possibly disorient some viewers. Plus, it lets us become acquainted with the new status quo even sooner and...

Not only will said event once again unite our favorite prime time heroes, but it will introduce Hawkman and Vandal Savage, acting as a backdoor pilot of sorts for the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow. The Flash, Season 2, Episode 1, “The Man Who Saved Central City”
Directed by Ralph Hemecker
Teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Gabrielle Stanton
Airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm (Et) on CW
It’s been six months since we last we saw The Flash save Central City when racing up a building in a desperate attempt to prevent his hometown from being destroyed by a temporal vortex. The first episode of Season 2 — “The Man Who Saved Central City” — doesn’t concern itself with the immediate aftermath of this event. Instead, the show jumps forward six months and opens with the Scarlet Speedster and Firestorm squaring off with Captain Cold and Heat Wave. As it turns out, it is only a dream and for Barry, saving Central City came at a heavy cost. Still feeling responsible for Eddie’s death, Barry pushes his friends away and is now determined to protect the city all on his own.
