If you came of age sometime between 1969 and now, there's a good chance you grew up with Scooby-Doo. The snack-loving Great Dane became a mainstay in homes across America when "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!" first premiered, and Mystery Inc.'s reputation kept growing long after Joe Ruby and Ken Spears' groovy series ended its three-season run. In the decades since, Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, and Velma have become a global phenomenon, and even during low points in Scooby history, there's still a strong sense of cultural awareness for the lovable pup and his mystery-solving crew.
Scooby fans are also well-known for our strong opinions; with over a hundred Scooby titles to choose from across film, TV, web, comics, and more, Scooby fans have a knack for developing a strong individual sense of what works and what doesn't in the franchise. While most fans may not agree on what Scooby properties...

Zoinks! Aliya provides a rundown of 10 enjoyable Scooby-Doo animated movies. Scrappy isn't invited...
For a Great Dane, Scooby-Doo has had an impressive innings. He’s now 44 years old, and has been through a number of mediums: TV series, videogames, stage plays, and many movies. In all that time the Us version of Scooby has been voiced by only five actors (the original actor, Don Messick, played him from 1969 to 1994), and there remains something so familiar and reassuring about Scooby, even as the storylines and the entanglements of the Scooby gang change around him. Nowadays in Mystery Incorporated Velma may be on/off dating Shaggy, and Fred and Daphne may be having problems with their relationship, but Scooby remains as cowardly and hungry as ever.
The big screen movie escapade of Scooby-Doo (2002) involved Sarah Michelle Gellar as a black-belted Daphne and Rowan Atkinson as the main (okay,...

Scooby-Doo and the gang are returning for yet another new series, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated. This time around, Scooby's friend Shaggy will have a different but not unfamiliar voice -- Matthew Lilliard.
As you probably know, veteran DJ and voice artist Casey Kasem originated the role of Shaggy in the first series, Scooby-Doo Where Are You!, back in 1969. Kasem played the role in all of the show's various incarnations and appearances for almost three decades.
At some point, Kasem became a vegetarian and asked that ever-hungry Shaggy become one as well. The studio didn't want to do it so, when Kasem was reportedly asked to perform the role for a Burger King commercial in the 1990s, he refused.
Billy West (Futurama) took over and played Shaggy in the direct-to-video movie Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island. Scott Innes took over the...
