Kelsey Grammer will get a chance to come back for another season of the Frasier reboot. Grammer has portrayed Dr. Frasier Crane off and on for the last 40 years. While the role is clearly close to his heart, it’s far from the only impressive role he’s taken on during his lengthy career. Grammer has over 100 acting credits to his name. With so many roles to choose from, you’d think it would be difficult to determine which ones you’d be willing to return to. Still, Grammer did just that. He recently revealed what role, aside from Frasier, he’d like to revisit.

In the animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," we were introduced to the character of Professor Huyang, an architect and lightsaber designer droid who has been instructing younglings studying to be Jedi for, as he says in the series, "over a thousand generations." Visually designed with inspiration from concept artist Ralph McQuarrie's original art for C-3Po, Huyang's database has all the information about every lightsaber ever made and the Jedi who wielded it. He's got drawers full of lightsaber parts (which was based on creator Dave Filoni's grandfather's basement draws full of tools and parts), and he's always ready to help guide the young padawan in the creation of their first weapon. Plus, as we saw in the live-action Disney+ series "Ahsoka," he helps with Sabine's (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) lightsaber training. Huyang is voiced in both projects by David Tennant, aka the Tenth Doctor from "Doctor Who,...

All hail Ahsoka! The young Jedi (voiced by Ashley Eckstein) first appeared in "The Clone Wars" to mixed reactions from "Star Wars" fans. Since then, however, she has grown into a popular character in George Lucas' sprawling franchise, so much so that she's received her own Disney+ TV series starring Rosario Dawson in the role. Her close relationship with Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi ensures she is never too far from essential moments seen on "The Clone Wars" and other TV shows like "Star Wars Rebels," "Star Wars: The Bad Batch," and "Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures."
With so many appearances in animation, it's tough to pin down Ahsoka's best scenes. Whether it be a killer lightsaber duel or a brilliant bit of heroism, there's no shortage of incredible sequences. However, after sifting through the 100-plus episodes of "The Clone Wars," "Rebels," and others, I've landed on a list of...

The best legacy sequels concern themselves with the weight of the decades that have passed and the long-term effects of the events separated by the gulf of time between entries. While these stories occur across the wide spectrum of entertainment, the horror genre is uniquely positioned to explore such follow ups. After all, just as years affect a life, so too does the horrors of one blood-soaked Halloween night.
Long before Halloween (2018) brought Jamie Lee Curtis back into the fold as Laurie Strode in an effort to explore her deeply repressed trauma, Halloween H20 (1998) set out to accomplish just that. Most of the world knows Mark Hamill by sight. He played Luke Skywalker in the "Star Wars" franchise, an acting gig that has spanned over four decades. You might even have an action figure of him in your house right now. In addition, Hamill has slayed audiences with his voice work as the Joker in Batman TV shows, animated projects, and video games since 1992. Hamill's voice work (including his insanely accurate impression of "Star Wars" co-star Harrison Ford) is incredible, and while he won a Daytime Emmy for his role in "Elena of Avalor," he was never even nominated for the Joker. That's a crime, and it's unlikely to happen now that his Batman counterpart Kevin Conroy has died.
One job he did get a Daytime Emmy nomination for was voicing Darth Bane in season 6, episode 13 of the animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," entitled "Sacrifice." However, according to...

Imagine being a voice actor and not having the use of your voice following a stroke. Tom Kane, one of the most well-known voice actors within the past couple of decades, has unfortunately lost much of his ability to speak and even communicate following a left-side stroke that left him incapable of speaking for the most part, but as it’s already been stated he’s stubborn enough that he’s not allowing this to keep him down. This kind of setback would be disastrous to many people since when the one tool that manages to get you paid breaks down it’s hard

Voice actor Tom Kane, known for his work on various entries in the “Star Wars” franchise, suffered a stroke two months ago that left him largely unable to speak, according to a Facebook post written by his daughter.
“He had a left side stroke that gave him right sided weakness and damage to the speech center of his brain,” the post shared to his Facebook page on Wednesday reads. “This means right now he cannot efficiently communicate verbally, nor read or spell. He is still competent and very much himself, but can only get out a few words right now.”
The stroke has currently rendered Kane unable to do his job as a voice actor. During his career, Kane has lent his voice to “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” delivering lines for numerous characters including Yoda, as well as the blockbuster film “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” where he voiced Admiral Ackbar.

The Star Wars Holiday Special is the most notorious entry in the whole saga – which is really saying something – and so Lucasfilm has been trying to bury its existence ever since it first aired in 1978. But this festive season, the unthinkable is happening. No, the original isn’t being put up on Disney Plus, but the streamer is debuting a kind of honorary sequel to it in the form of the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special. And it looks poised to be a real blast judging by the trailer up above.
Loosely set after the events of The Rise of Skywalker, the Holiday Special sees Rey and faithful droid Bb-8 flung on a time-traveling adventure across Star Wars history, leading to a confrontation with her evil granddaddy Emperor Palpatine and a team-up with her master Luke Skywalker in his youth. Rey, Darth Vader and Baby Yoda have the ultimate “Star Wars” crossover in the brand new trailer for the Lego holiday special on Disney Plus.
In a new trailer released on Thursday, “The Lego Star Wars Holiday Special” follows Rey, Finn, Poe, Chewbacca, Rose and their droids as they commemorate Life Day, a joyous celebration on Chewbacca’s home planet of Kashyyyk that was first introduced in the 1978 “Star Wars Holiday Special.” Following the events of the franchise’s most recent film “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” the 45-minute special depicts Rey as she travels with Bb-8 to gain a greater understanding of the Force.
On her time-traveling adventure, she encounters characters from all nine Skywalker saga films, including Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Emperor Palpatine. Several “Mandalorian” characters even show up, including Baby Yoda and the helmeted protagonist played by Pedro Pascal on the hit Disney Plus series.

The 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special is one of the most mystifying, surreal and awful things I’ve ever seen. It follows Chewbacca’s family on Kashyyyk as they celebrate Life Day and topped the list in the book What Were They Thinking?: The 100 Dumbest Events in Television History, which dubbed it “the worst two hours of TV ever.” They’re not kidding. Now, Disney and Lucasfilm have bravely announced a follow-up in the form of Lego Star Wars Holiday Special.

Has C-3Po ever been voiced by anyone other than Anthony Daniels? I suppose I can do my own research and answer that question myself; turns out that other actors have voiced the fussy protocol droid, such as Tom Kane and Simon Pegg, but those occasions have been few and far between. Well, Daniels is slated to reprise the role of C-3Po yet again for Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge, an upcoming virtual reality experience from ILMxLAB. You can check out the teaser above. Recent Star Wars movies have seen plenty of fan favorites bite the dust as several beloved characters from the original films have been killed off in heartbreaking ways. While many may consider the shocking murder of Han Solo or the unexpected death of Luke Skywalker to be the most tragic in the series, Tim Rose sounds like he disagrees.
The Admiral Ackbar puppeteer expressed his thoughts on the veteran commander’s death in Star Wars: The Last Jedi in a recent interview, saying:
“After The Force Awakens — for whatever reason, length of picture, whatever — it all got cut out. So after waiting 30 years to reprise Ackbar I was a little disappointed with Ackbar’s role in that picture. So in The Last Jedi, I was quite looking forward to maybe them giving him something more juicy. We were only given the script on the day when we were shooting that piece of script,...

As the final installment in the Sequel Trilogy looms closer, Star Wars: The Last Jedi remains a touchy subject online. And at the recent Star Wars Celebration, actor Tom Kane revealed that even he wasn’t completely thrilled with how his character was handled.
Taking over from the late Erik Bauersfeld, Kane provided the voice of Admiral Ackbar in Rian Johnson’s 2017 film. As you may recall, the death of the fan favorite was unusually downplayed, and is only briefly acknowledged in a line from Commander Larma D’Acy. Meanwhile, far more emphasis is placed on the demise of Vice Admiral Holdo, who saves the Resistance by ramming the Raddus into the Supremacy at lightspeed. And if you ask Kane, his character should’ve been the one to make the heroic sacrifice.
“I’ve been Ackbar for about six years… and I was not really thrilled about how they blew...

Apparently, Lucasfilm is neck deep in the Star Wars films that they are currently developing. According to voice actor, Tom Kane, who is involved with the franchise there are nine films in development. and also says there are no plans for a Yoda solo film. In case you're wondering, though, Kane is the voice of Ackbar in The Last Jedi and also provides the voice of Yoda when Frank Oz isn't around to do it.
Kane made an appearance recently at All Star Comic Con, and Aaron Goins, who is the host of a Star Wars podcast offered up the information:
Tom Kane seems to be somewhat in the know but very hesitant to share.. claims there are at least 9 Star Wars films in various stages of development, some individual character stories yet to be announced, but definitely not Yoda. #StarWars #AllStarComicCon

Though a $100 million Memorial Day weekend would be nothing to scoff at for your typical movie, it was far below what was expected from Solo: A Star Wars Story, the tenth entry in the saga from that galaxy far, far away, which has always blasted through the box office. Why has it fallen so short of expectations, though? Well, there are probably several factors, but one that’s being discussed a lot is the threat of franchise fatigue. After all, The Last Jedi only came out five months ago.
With that perceived to be the problem, you’d imagine that Disney and Lucasfilm would be in the midst of rethinking their release strategy for Star Wars pics in the future. That’d be the smart thing to do, right? Well, apparently that’s not quite the case, as the studios are actually heading in the opposite direction, with a whopping...

Jason Reitman doesn't allow his famous Live Reads to be filmed, but if you've ever wondered what one of those events looks like, Smuggler's Revenge from this year's Star Wars Celebration is pretty close. Fanboys director Kyle Newman co-wrote an original Han Solo story that takes place just before The Empire Strikes Back and directed a cast of talent that includes David Collins, Catherine Taber, Tom Kane, Vanessa Marshall, Steve Blum, Mathew Wood, Sam Witwer, and Warwick Davis in reading the script aloud on stage, complete with sound effects and music in the background. Dr. Harriet Fields
By Robert E. Tevis
Recently, the American Theater of Actors, in conjunction with Dr. Harriet Fields, presented a theatrical reenactment of the 1928 trial of W.C. Fields for the murder of a Canary. Entitled “The Real Transcript of W.C. Fields Murder Trial (Of A Canary),” the thirty minute production is based upon a true story of the night that Fields was arrested for the inhumane treatment of a canary in his act at the Earl Carrol Theater by two New York City policemen attached to the Humane Society.
Fields had been appearing in Earl Carroll’s Vanities and was performing a routine that is immortalized in his 1932 film “The Dentist.” In the routine, a man with a huge brisling beard comes to see Fields, the dentist. As Fields pokes around the man’s beard in an attempt to locate the man’s mouth, birds fly out, at which...

Earlier this year Simon Pegg accidently revealed that Daniel Craig played a Stormtrooper in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Now that the film is in theaters, and people are starting to talk, we've learned what Stormtrooper he plays in the film.
Spoilers ahead for anyone who hasn't seen the film yet:
According to EW, the Stormtrooper that was guarding Daisy Ridley's character Rey after she is captured and interrogated by Kylo Ren is Craig. This is the Stormtrooper that she taps into The Force to use a Jedi mind trick on.
"You will remove these restraints and leave this cell with the door open," she says. It doesn't work at first, but after a couple goes at it, she gets him!
On top of that, the voices of many of the Stormtroopers were done by Star Wars: The Clone Wars and LucasArts alums. David Collins revealed them a screenshot of the credits.
