Bob Dylan is one of the most prolific songwriters of all time, but even he has songs that don’t measure up with the rest. Some of them have incomprehensible lyrics, and others are outright mean, especially because they were written about real people. Here are five of Dylan’s worst songs.
Bob Dylan | Bob King/Redferns 5. ‘Ninety Miles an Hour (Down a Dead End Street)’ is a yawn-worthy Bob Dylan song
Dylan did not write the 1988 song “Ninety Miles an Hour (Down a Dead End Street),” but his rendition was not worth the album space. Though not penned by Dylan, the song is slow and dull, and the lyrics overwork the central metaphor.
While it’s not Dylan’s worst song of all time, “Ninety Miles an Hour (Down a Dead End Street)” is blandly forgettable.
4. ‘T.V. Talkin’ Song’ is overly obvious

There are a few elements common to nearly all Bond films: gadgets, girls, guns and villains. While the gadgets were all but done away with in the 2006 “reboot” Casino Royale, we can be relatively sure that Bond baddies aren’t going anywhere. Indeed, a good enemy can often be the selling point of a Bond film – Bond himself is an established character, and there’s a limit to how far the filmmakers can develop him (although they certainly played with that limit in the recent Skyfall.)
His opponent, on the other hand, is an unknown quantity, and usually provides an opportunity for the film team to find new ways to test Bond. Because let’s be honest, without a compelling enemy, 007 is just an alcoholic womaniser with a gambling problem who would be fired from MI6 within days for seemingly never filling in a single piece of paperwork.
It’s this or my tax returns.

HollywoodNews.com:Directors Guild of America President Taylor Hackford today announced the DGA’s nominees for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Television and Commercials for the year 2011.
?The caliber of work being done on television these days is incredible, and our director nominees in each category are an indispensable element to the success of every project — establishing and enhancing the vision and tone, eliciting outstanding performances and furthering the narrative arc through their creative choices,? said Hackford. ?That they are able to create excellence regardless of obstacles like tighter schedules and in an environment in which audiences have more entertainment options to choose from — is a true testament to the importance of directorial skill in television.?

A curious item came across the desk of Doctor Gash earlier today with a subject line that simply read: Spooky Castle. Well, being the curious soul I am, there is no way I'm letting a message with a subject line like that go by without at least taking a look at it. And as it turned out, it was quite an interesting project.
As it turns out, Spooky Castle is a new film project being shot in the New Forest in England revolving around the adventures of a pair of supernatural investigators. The filmmakers hope to make Spooky Castle, which is based on the video game of the same name, by Hamumu.com., into a film series.
Thus far a trailer and an initial short film entitled Spooky Castle: The Black Crow of Narth have been completed. The writers are Giles Milner and Rob King. David Broomfield filmed the short,...

As hard as it may be to believe sometimes, someone (or someones) actually sits down and writes a movie or TV show before you end up seeing it at your local multiplex or on your favorite TV network. The people who do the sitting and the writing are, surprisingly, called writers and, like the Directors, the Golden Globes and the Oscars, they have their own awards show.
This week, the Writers Guild of America, which is the trade group and advocate for writers, announced its nominations for outstanding achievement in feature film and television, radio, news, promotional writing, and graphic animation during the 2009 season to be honored at the upcoming 2010 Writers Guild Awards on February 20, 2010, in Los Angeles and New York.
We realize that these nominations may not be as glamorous as the Golden Globes or the Oscars, but we kinda like writers around here and think they do a pretty important job.

Awards heavyweights "Mad Men," "30 Rock" and "The Office" and buzzed-about newcomer "Modern Family" led the TV field for the 2010 Writers Guild Awards with three nominations each.
AMC's "Mad Men" and NBC's "30 Rock" and "The Office" are in the running for best drama/comedy series, and each received two nominations for episodic writing. "Family" made the cut for best comedy series, best new series and best episodic writing for a comedy series.
ABC's "Family" was one of two new shows to break into the best series categories along with Fox's quirky high-school dramedy "Glee," which faces "Family" in the best comedy series and best new series fields.
While the WGA Awards are still in its nomination phase, Fox's "The Simpsons" can already uncork the champagne. The veteran series is assured to win the animation category after landing all five nomination slots.

Chicago – In a relatively shocking announcement as a part of fall schedule upfronts this week, CBS actually pulled the trigger on “Without a Trace,” a show that had reportedly gotten too expensive for the network. There were rumors that they may do the same with “Cold Case,” but that show will return with on-the-bubble shows “The New Adventures of Old Christine” and “Rules of Engagement” also being miraculously renewed and “Medium” being saved.
This Fall CBS adds the popular drama series Medium, starring Patricia Arquette, Fridays (9:00-10:00 Pm, Et/Pt), forming a hauntingly compatible two-hour block with Ghost Whisperer at 8:00 Pm.

"Moonlight" fans' prayers have been answered: The show's star Alex O'Loughlin is back on CBS with the new medical drama "Three Rivers."
The network went mostly for star vehicles in its first new series picks for next season with "Rivers"; the "NCIS" spinoff, toplined by LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell; legal drama "The Good Wife," starring Julianna Margulies; and the Jenna Elfman-starring comedy "Accidentally on Purpose."
CBS also handed a series order to the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced ensemble medical drama "Miami Trauma," which has tapped Steve Maeda as exec producer/showrunner.
The network also has picked up unscripted series "Undercover Boss," a hidden-camera show based on a British format in which an executive goes undercover at his or her company.
As a precursor to the scripted series orders, the network during the weekend gave most of the projects a greenlight to start making offers to writers and directors.

SXSW is one of my favorite festivals of the year as it showcases some of the best and most innovative real independent films, and with this host of world premiers, it's also playing alot of Sundance material as well as genre fare from all over the world, many of which we've covered heavily in these pages.
From the Sundance lineup, we have films like Moon, The Immaculate Conception of Little Dizzle, You Won't Miss Me, Grace, and Humpday, among others.
For the world genre material we've covered, there's Lake Mungo, The Square, Zift, and Awaydays.
I think you get the point that lots of great looking film will be playing. I'll leave a bit of the exploration to you..
