Bengaluru, Sep 27 (Ians) Open-source software development platform GitHub on Tuesday said it has made its developer platform available in India to help boost the startup ecosystem.

Eligible startups in India, and globally, will receive up to 20 seats of GitHub Enterprise free for one year, including the support and guidance from GitHub technical experts.

“As the home for the world’s developers, it is our responsibility to provide entrepreneurs access to our complete developer platform, so anyone can rapidly and securely turn their aspirations into the next great startup of tomorrow,” said Thomas Dohmke, CEO of GitHub.

Microsoft-owned GitHub has over 7.2 million developers in India, and more than 83 million globally.

Launched earlier this year, GitHub for Startups has been working with partners worldwide and hundreds of startups – including several in India – in the pilot group to help them with collaboration and productivity, security, and harness the speed of innovation.

After the surprising success of Abcd, Remo D’Sousa attempts a second a bite at the apple with Abcd 2. While its predecessor featured an ensemble of dancers and choreographers from India’s various dance-reality shows in starring roles along side Prabhudeva and K K Menon, the sequel features Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor in pivotal roles with Prabhudeva and the returning cast of dancers/choreographers in the periphery.

Sachin-Jigar have reprised their roles as music-director composing a 10-track soundtrack featuring the vocal talents of Vishal Dadlani, Anushka Manchanda, Divya Kumar and Mika Singh.

‘Bezuban Phir Se’ substitutes the videsi interludes for desi ones with Vishal, Anushka and Madhav Krishna behind the mike this time. Vishal and Anushka easily deliver the stand-out performances while Madhav’s is a little underwhelming, mostly because it is hard to not compare his rendition of the returning hook with Priya Panchal and others. We have the first song from the highly-anticipated film Abcd 2 and can we say Wow! ‘Bezubaan Phir Se’, along with being a rocking song. is a complete visual treat featuring Shraddha Kapoor as she burns the dance floor with her mind blowing moves along with co-star Varun Dhawan and the rest of the Abcd 2 gang. This foot tapping, techno number is an extension of the original track Bezubaan from the first film which was a chartbuster, and this version is definitely a step ahead of it. The song has been sung by Vishal Dadlani, Anushka Manchanda & Madhav Krishna, written by Mayur Puri and composed by Sachin – Jigar.

Here’s something cool, ‘Bezubaan Phir Se’ was the first song that Shraddha shot for along with the crew. Speaking about the song, Shraddha said, “Bezubaan Phir Se was the first song we shot, the first time I put on the Abcd 2 dancing shoes.

The first song from Remo D'souza's flick Abcd 2, 'Bezubaan Phir Se', a reworked version of 'Bezubaan' from the first part Abcd (Any Body Can Dance), is out. And it was Remo's idea to use the original track in the second installment.

Remo reveals, "Firstly it's my favaourite track from the film. There was a situation in the film wherein we needed a 'Bezubaan' kind of a song, so I came up with the idea why not have it again? Sachin-Jigar composed it, while the lyrics are written by Mayur Puri. The song is rendered by Vishal Dadlani, Anushka Manchanda and Madhav Krishna. Thus, we came up with an amazing song."

He further adds, "Besides the number 'Bezubaan', a background score from the original has also been used and developed into a song."

Entertainment is an upcoming comedy starring Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia in the leading roles. Directed by duo Sajid-Farhad, the film is scheduled to release on 8 August and promises to be a fun-filled ride. The music has been composed by Sachin-Jigar, who have composed songs for films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Ramaiya Vasavaiya. The lyrics have been penned by Mayur Puri. So does the music Entertainment have anything entertaining to offer? Read on to check out our verdict.

To kick start the album, we have ‘Veerey Di Wedding,’ sung by the amazing Mika Singh. I think the vocals have been performed to a top standard by Mika and it blends well with the techno- themed composition. Though the song is by no means remarkable, you find yourself feeling the rhythm of this one and hence, it has a certain catch to it that may be enjoyed by many listeners.

The year in song in 2013 certainly was a treat for Hindi music fans. With songs ranging to straight-up classical influences, to songs with a Southern tinge plus the new grooves that hit high notes of hard rock, dub step, hip-hop, and punk-rock there was something for everyone. 2013 had some wonderful musical moments and they were not all on the big screen. One of the most exciting releases of 2013 has to be Remo D’Souza’s Abcd – AnyBody Can Dance, which is India’s first 3D dance film. Sachin and Jigar certainly deliver their best work with this album, showcasing their versatility and delivering a consistently brilliant selection of tracks. Each track gets you immediately hooked and even more curious to see how it will be picturized onscreen.

We start off with a bang with, Shambhu Sataya, a rollicking Ganesh devotional song that packs the punch with its loud percussion, and drums that line the track. Shankar Mahadevan opens the track with a soothing shloka, that gives way to the thumping dhols and nagadas. The interplay between Mahadevan and Vishal Dadlani raspy vocals make this a loud treat. Indian Film Dance Directors Association (Ifdda) hosted an event to felicitate the veteran and present day choreographers on the occasion of Choreographers' Day on Jan 9. Present at the event were choreographers Vaibhavi Merchant, Saroj Khan, Farah Khan, Ahmed Khan, Remo D'Souza, Terence Lewis, Longinus Fernandes, Shruti Merchant, Umesh Jadhav, Seemaa Desai, Madhav Kishan, Baba Harman, Cinoo Kumar, and many more. Ifdda committee members Pappu Khanna, Rajendra Suvanam, Jay Borade and Bhupendra Sayan (Bhupi) and other members welcomed all the choreographers and made sure the arrangements were proper.

The event began with the Chief Guest of the evening Hema Malini lighting up the diya along with the members of the association.
