Shan Kwan was born on 20 April 1933 in Shenyang, Liaoning, China. He was an actor and director, known for Ah Q zheng zhuan (1958), Police Story 2 (1988) and A Better Tomorrow II (1987). He was previously married to Bingxi Zhang. He died on 1 October 2012 in Hong Kong, China.
