Chicago P.D. has finished filming for Season 11. And that means Tracy Spiridakos has filmed her final scenes.
Tracy has been an integral part of the Chicago P.D. cast for years, but the Season 11 finale is her final episode.
Fellow cast members have often shared goodbye messages on social media this spring. That included a comment from Laroyce Hawkins (Officer Kevin Atwater) that read #SaveUpton.
Star Jason Beghe (Hank Voight) also recently stated, “It’s not going to be the same” when Tracy leaves the show. He is 100 percent correct in his assessment that the show must now adapt.
Marina Squerciati also posted about getting as many Tracy hugs as possible. Marina continues to play Officer Kim Burgess – a character who has been with the show since the beginning.

Chicago P.D. star Marina Squerciati shared a new set photo from what might be the filming of the Season 11 finale.
Marina plays Officer Kim Burgess and frequently shares social media images of herself and her co-stars.
This new photo features some interesting tidbits, including the return of a guest star from earlier this season.
Bojana Novakovic joined the Chicago P.D. cast as Detective Josephine Petrovic this season, with the character helping out Intelligence on the serial killer case.
They haven’t solved the murders yet, suggesting the final few episodes of Chicago P.D. Season 11 will return to that investigation.
There have also been Chicago P.D. rumors about Petrovic taking over for Detective Hailey Upton when that character leaves the show.
Actress Tracy Spiridakos has been filming her final scenes as Upton, and her final episode is the upcoming season finale.

While Chicago Fire fans have to wait a while for the next new episode, it looks like that new episode will be packed with action.
An intense rescue is teased in the NBC TV promo released for the next new Chicago Fire episode. It involves Kelly Severide putting himself in a dangerous situation.

Chicago P.D. is on an extended spring hiatus as the show takes a break before its race to the season finale.
This is unfortunate timing, as the recent episodes of the show had ramped up fans’ interest, with Intelligence tracking a serial killer and then wrapping up the Torres undercover case.
At the same time, many fans may be upset that it feels like the season just began. The season premiere debuted in January, and the season finale will arrive in May.
Two Hollywood strikes delayed the production of the One Chicago shows. Many cast and crew members took to the picket lines to fight for better benefits.
And coming up soon, one of the main characters is leaving Intelligence for good. Many online rumors have fans guessing what will happen to Detective Hailey Upton (played by Tracy Spiridakos).

Chicago P.D. is nearing the end of its current season, and the cast and crew may have already begun filming the season finale.
The One Chicago shows have shortened seasons this year due to the two Hollywood strikes, but the weeks have seemed to rush by already.
So far, nine episodes from Chicago P.D. Season 11 have debuted. It means there are only four new episodes left this spring.
The One Chicago shows have several weeks off in April before returning for likely four consecutive weeks of new content.
We are also (sadly) counting the days until actress Tracy Spiridakos leaves the show. She has played Detective Hailey Upton for many years, but this is her final season.
Could Upton’s departure mean an upcoming scene featuring the return of Detective Jay Halstead (played by Jesse Lee Soffer)?

Chicago Med alum Torrey DeVitto gave a new interview exploring why she returned to the show.
Torrey played Dr. Natalie Manning for the first six seasons of Chicago Med, most of which had her character in a relationship with Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss).
Her character had to leave the hospital after it was discovered that she was stealing drugs from a drug trial to help her mom.
Those drugs worked, keeping her mom around for much longer. Dr. Halstead tried to take the fall for Dr. Manning, but it didn’t work.
Torrey returned for the first episode of Season 7 to give her character closure. Will went to Natalie’s house to say goodbye to her and her son, giving them one final conversation before she finished packing her car to leave for Seattle.
Chicago Med fans were surprised when Torrey secretly returned to film a scene for the Season 8 finale.

Exclusive: Following Kara Killmer’s exit from NBC’s Chicago Fire, a new paramedic is checking into Season 12. Jocelyn Hudon has joined the cast in a recurring role with a series regular option, sources close to production tell Deadline.

Jesse Lee Soffer is back on the Chicago P.D. set for Season 11. Soffer is directing once again, the 12th episode of the season. He’ll only be behind the camera, though we have to admit that we’re holding out hope to see him onscreen once again as Jay Halstead. After all, there’s already a reason for him to return: as part of Tracy Spiridakos‘ final episode. Spiridakos is exiting as Detective Hailey Upton at the end of the season, and while the premiere did see her signing the divorce papers, we have to admit we’re hoping that a reunion is in the cards for “Upstead.” There are plenty of ways to bring him back for her farewell, whether her plans include him or not. Or maybe we’ll just have to settle for hearing about the possibility of the two getting back together (which could always...

Intelligence will be losing at least one of its members in Chicago P.D. Season 11, but exactly how long do we have with Tracy Spiridakos‘ Detective Hailey Upton? “We’ll see her in the whole season. She’s here the whole time,” executive producer Gwen Sigan told TV Insider. Back in October 2023, when Spiridakos’ exit was announced, an episode count for her in Season 11 wasn’t revealed. Spiridakos debuted as Upton in Season 4 then was upped to series regular for Season 5. This means there’s plenty of time for Chicago P.D. to set up how Upton will be written out, something the Season 11 premiere began to do. She and Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), who left to run a squad in Bolivia tracking down the worst cartels and then didn’t tell her about extending his work overseas, have divorced. (That came after she took off her wedding ring last season.

We are two episodes into Season 11 of Chicago P.D., and Officer Dante Torres has not appeared.
The Intelligence team member joined the show to replace Detective Jay Halstead (played by Jesse Lee Soffer).
Torres was brought in by Halstead to help the team but ended up taking the open slot, thanks to Hank Voight (Jason Beghe).
Actor Benjamin Levy Aguilar works well on the show and brings something fresh to a group that has been together for years.
But Chicago P.D. fans have many questions after his character vanished for the first two episodes of Season 11.
A throwaway line at the beginning of the season premiere revealed that Torres was furloughed to spend time with his mom.
When does Torres return to Chicago P.D.?
Fans hoping for Officer Dante Torres’s return now have an answer from Benjamin Levy Aguilar.
Benjamin posted image photos from an upcoming Chicago P.D. episode.

Marina Squerciati shines as Officer Kim Burgess in the January 31 episode of Chicago P.D., an hour that allows us to really see how far she’s come since we first met her at the beginning of the series. But in thinking about that and how long she’s been with the show, along with all of the recent One Chicago exits, it’s impossible not to wonder about her future on the show. We’re not going to be saying goodbye to her anytime soon, are we? “No, that’s very sweet,” Squericati tells TV Insider. “As far as I know, I’m still here.” P.D. is saying goodbye to Tracy Spiridakos at the end of the season (she’s been playing Detective Hailey Upton since Season 4) and bid adieu to Jesse Lee Soffer last year (he starred as Detective Jay Halstead since the beginning of the series). Last year,...

A big storyline for Chicago Fire Season 12 is the wedding between Sylvie Brett and Matthew Casey.
Casey (played by Jesse Spencer) returned in the Chicago Fire Season 11 finale to help with a domestic terrorism case. He was on a task force due to the nature of the threats.
After returning to Chicago, Casey realized he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Brett (Kara Killmer). Casey popped the question as the season finale ended, but fans had to wait for an answer.
Chicago Fire Season 12 began with a six-month time jump. It required character conversations to bridge the gap in storylines that had been wrapped up.
Mouch survived his injuries, Stella Kidd tracked down and brought Kelly Severide back to Chicago, and Brett agreed to marry Casey.
Getting from that proposal to being married could be a difficult road, at least according to showrunner Andrea Newman.

Did love blossom on the set of Chicago P.D.? Tracy Spiridakos and Jesse Lee Soffer played partners on the NBC drama. But they may be a duo off-screen as well, according to a recent report.
Are Tracy Spiridakos and Jesse Lee Soffer a couple?
On Chicago P.D. Spiridakos plays Detective Hailey Upton, a member of Cpd’s Intelligence Unit. Soffer played her partner (and later husband) Detective Jay Halstead. The two were a powerful duo in the Dick Wolf police procedural until Soffer left the show in season 10. Now, a source tells the New York Post that the actors have been quietly dating for years.
Neither Spiridakos nor Soffer has commented on the relationship rumors. But the two have posted about spending time together off-screen. In August 2023, Spiridakos and Soffer both shared a photo on Instagram of themselves and former Chicago P.D. showrunner Derek Haas walking the picket...

Detective Jay Halstead was a fan-favorite for years on Chicago P.D.
Actor Jesse Lee Soffer played the role, which began on a Chicago Fire episode.
But early in Chicago P.D. Season 10, Halstead appeared for the last time on an Intelligence case.
Fans are still frustrated with how the writers and showrunner dealt with Halstead’s exit. It has had a lasting impact on the show.
Tracy Spiridakos (she plays Detective Hailey Upton) is also leaving the show. She will appear in her final episode this spring.
Due to Jesse’s exit and the pending exit for Tracy, the writers had to speed up storylines involving their characters.

A new season of Chicago P.D. has begun, showing a disjointed Intelligence team struggling on the job.
The first episode focused primarily on Detective Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) and a case she stumbled upon.
Sergeant Trudy Platt loaned out Upton to work on a pilot program prioritizing mental health on calls.
Having Intelligence split up for part of the episode made it easier on the writers since Officer Dante Torres was out of the office.
Officer Adam Ruzek was also still on leave as he tried to recover from being shot in the Season 10 finale.
The second episode for Season 11 circles back to Ruzek, who gets caught up in a new case.

Chicago P.D. is back, but one familiar face was missing during the show’s season 11 premiere on Jan. 17. Benjamin Levy Aguilar, who has played Officer Dante Torres since season 9, was conspicuously absent from “Unpacking.”

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Chicago P.D. Season 11 premiere “Unpacking.”] Intelligence needs to find a replacement for Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) in the Chicago P.D. Season 11 premiere, but Voight (Jason Beghe) refuses. And while his reaction makes it seem like he may not be ready to replace a fallen team member, it’s simply because he doesn’t want anyone except for Ruzek, who did survive that bullet in the Season 10 finale and is now trying to make his way back, but it’s going to take some time. Elsewhere in the premiere, to say Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) is struggling would be an understatement. Not only are she and Halstead getting a divorce (she’s the petitioner), but she misreads someone she thinks is the prime suspect while riding along with the crisis prevention team. When Voight checks on her in her new place at the end of ...

It looks like Jesse Lee Soffer‘s Jay Halstead and Tracy Spiridakos‘ Hailey Upton might not just be TV partners!

The two starred alongside each other on the NBC drama for six years as partners in the Intelligence Unit, marrying in Season 9.
Jesse left the show after a decade in August of last year, with his final appearance being in the episode “A Good Man.”

NBC’s Chicago world became a TV universe 10 years ago with the debut of Chicago P.D., the first spinoff of Chicago Fire and the second of four series in that Windy City franchise. Every Dick Wolf show is experiencing casting shake-ups as we head into 2024, but none of them come quite as close to the stratospheric impact Chicago P.D. will feel with the loss of Tracy Spiridakos as Hailey Upton.
Love or hate Upton, she's been a part of some of the series' biggest storylines and the process of writing her out has to be tough for all involved.
She deserves an end befitting of her contributions to the team, which have been plentiful.
Sadly, the One Chicago universe doesn't have the best track record in saying goodbye to our most beloved characters.
Many get questionable exits that lack the finality necessary for their fans to move on, and some, well, they get killed off in brutal fashion.
There is no in-between as far as this universe is concerned, but hopefully, we will all be satisfied with how this shakes out.

Change is coming to the One Chicago shows. Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med will all return in 2024 with new episodes. But fans will have to brace themselves for the departure of some much-loved characters in the upcoming seasons, as well as the introduction of at least one new face.
Kara Killmer leaving ‘Chicago Fire,’ Tracy Spiridakos out at ‘Chicago P.D.’
The most recent seasons of the One Chicago shows were marked by some high-profile cast member exits. Chicago P.D. Season 10 was Jay Halstead actor Jesse Lee Soffer’s last with the Dick Wolf drama. Chicago Fire Season 11 saw Taylor Kinney make a sudden (albeit temporary) exit due to a personal matter. And Chicago Med experienced some major changes in season 8, with Brian Tee (Dr. Ethan Choi), Nick Gehlfuss (Will Halstead), Guy Lockard (Dr. Dylan Scott), and Sarah Rafferty (Dr. Pamela Blake) all moving on from Gaffney Chicago Medical Center.

Chicago Fire will say goodbye to Kara Killmer during the NBC show’s twelfth season, Deadline has confirmed. It is as yet unknown how many episodes her character Sylvie Brett will appear in.
Killmer joined the popular procedural during its third season with Sylvie serving as a central character throughout. Jesse Spencer, who played her love interest Matt Casey, departed from the show in 2021 but has returned as a guest star.
In the Season 11 finale, Matt proposed to Sylvie and at the time we guessed it could mean Spencer could return to the show. Instead, it appears the relationship could end in marriage with the pair riding off into the sunset together. The idea is certainly on trend as this was how Brian Tee and Yaya Dacosta departed Chicago Med as well as Nick Gehlfuss and Torrey DeVitto on the same series.
What could that mean for Chicago P.D.

Killmer joined the NBC procedural in Season 3 in 2014, and has appeared in 193 episodes. She has also had recurring roles on spinoffs “Chicago Med” and “Chicago P.D.” All three shows are produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
During Season 10 of the drama, Jesse Spencer, who portrayed Brett’s boyfriend, Matt Casey, left the show. A fan-favorite character could be coming back to Chicago Fire. Kelly Severide actor Taylor Kinney, who took a leave of absence from the NBC drama early in 2023, is rumored to return in the show’s upcoming 12th season.
Taylor Kinney may return in ‘Chicago Fire’ Season 12
Heading into Chicago Fire Season 11, Kinney was one of a handful of cast members who had been with the show since it premiered in 2012. So, fans were understandably stunned when he made an abrupt exit in early 2023. His most recent appearance was in the show’s Feb. 22 episode. The next week, the show explained that Severide was participating in an arson training program in Alabama. Later in the season, his wife Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) learned that he was no longer in the training program and was instead taking part in an Atf investigation at an unnamed location. Strangely, Severide hadn’t told...

Kelly Severide is coming back to the firehouse.
Taylor Kinney, who left “Chicago Fire” midway through Season 11, will be back for the upcoming 12th season, Variety confirms. It’s not yet determined how many episodes he will appear in. According to sources, his return will be toward the beginning of the season.
In January, the actor stepped away from the NBC procedural to deal with a personal matter. Kinney last appeared in the 14th episode of Season 11, which aired in February. In the March 1 episode, his character did not appear; Severide had left town to go to an arson investigation training program, jumping at an opportunity that was too big to pass up.
