When 1980’s Airplane! proved to be a massive hit, becoming one of the highest-grossing films of the year – up there with The Empire Strikes Back and Best Picture winner Kramer vs. Kramer – it was inevitable that it would get a sequel. But how often are comedy sequels good anyway? When have they ever really recaptured the magic and the laughter of the original? Well, Airplane II: The Sequel gave it a go…by basically being the same movie. Except this time around, Zaz wisely opted out, leaving the production without the strong leaders who reinvented the spoof genre. Instead, they got the guy who wrote Grease 2, one of the most notoriously awful sequels ever! So, strap in – no, not to an airplane but a space shuttle – as we find out: Wtf Happened to This Movie?!…The Sequel!

Alex Trebek was so well-known as the host of “Jeopardy!” that he made memorable cameos in that role on other popular shows, including “Cheers” and “The Golden Girls.”
In a 1990 episode of “Cheers” entitled “What is…Cliff Clavin,” Cliff (John Ratzenberger) appears on the game show during one of its remote tapings in Boston, where the titular bar is located.
Mailman Cliff seems outmatched by his opponents — a doctor and a lawyer — until the categories come up, including civil servants, stamps from around the world, mothers and sons, beer, bar trivia and celibacy.
“Cliff, can I get you to pick a category and an amount?” Trebek asks.
“Why don’t you pick any one you want. I am feeling lucky today. Woohoo,” Cliff responds confidently.
We won’t spoil the end for you, but let’s just say that Cliff wasn’t woohoo-ing after Final Jeopardy! Check out the hilarious clip above.

Never underestimate the power of advertising. All it takes is a cute cat, an eccentric character, or, heck, a nebulous blob suffering a severe identity crisis, to encourage us to head over to our local grocery store/convenience store/bar, etc., to pick up corporate America’s latest offering. That’s why this month, we’re bringing you EW’s Big Shill bracket game, which celebrates the country’s finest advertising icons — and pits them head-to-head in a battle for supremacy. In our first round, Six Flags’ Mr. Six dances off against Wendy’s “Where’s the Beef” lady in the Human Category,...

EW has obtained this exclusive first look of the Las Vegas nuptials of Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). David Leisure returns as Reverend Grace, who married Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) a few years back.
As evidenced by the hijinks in the photo, things don’t turn out exactly as planned in Sin City. The high-maintenance duo heads to Las Vegas on Nov. 9, and the fun continues throughout the week on the ABC sudser.

Isaiah Mustafa may be the new David Leisure. You remember Leisure: Joe Isuzu, the smarmy car pitchman who could catch a speeding bullet in his lying teeth. Back in the mid 1980s, the little-known actor turned his starring role in a series of funny commercials into a long run on NBC’s sitcom, Empty Nest. Now Mustafa, who’s famous as Old Spice’s personification of studly virility, is swan-diving into bigger projects. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Mustafa announced that he’ll portray a cop in the upcoming Jennifer Aniston-Jason Bateman comedy, Horrible Bosses. Throw...

Plenty of terrible television programs have been conceived in a marriage of "Character-a is able to talk to non-human Character-b." I recall one such show a while back that featured a middle-aged man who talked with a stuffed dog with the voice of Bobcat Goldthwait. It was called Unhappily Ever After, ran for 100 episodes on The WB, and looked dreadful. How was someone convinced that such a premise could beget a program worth watching? Well, perhaps that someone was some kind of Larry Ellison-type visionary who had a brilliant idea that just couldn't be executed because the appropriate technology didn't exist. Or, more likely, that someone was some kind of well-connected stoner who had a zany idea and and a favor to cash in from network television. It's too bad that someone didn't cast Patrick Duffy nor his crustachioed friend. Clearly it's not easy to execute the "human talks to non-human" thing.

If you watch a lot of television, particularly if you can't find your DVR remote, you're bound to see a lot of commercials, and in those commercials over a period of time, you're also likely to see some of the same actors rotate through different commercials for different products. (There was an interesting article on this phenomenon a few years ago on Slate, which I can't seem to find.) More often than not, you have no idea what that actor's name is, at least until you see him or her on a television show or up on the big screen, at which point you exclaim, "Hey! That's the guy from that commercial."
Today's Seriously Random List explores the always under-appreciated "guy from that commercial." It's not about famous actors who appeared in commercials before they were stars, or even current celebrities, like Sam Waterston, who are inextricably linked to a certain product.

Recently at MTV News, we've spent an unhealthy amount of time talking about J.J. Abrams' revamped "Star Trek": the stellar performances from the new cast, the tweaking of "Trek" mythology, where the reinvigorated franchise will go from here. Inevitably, during these intensely nerdy, often argumentative conversations, the name "Khan" arises with a guttural moan in someone's feeble attempt to replicate the epic howl of William Shatner's James T. Kirk.
Earlier this week, we took to the Movies Blog to offer our thoughts on who might one day be able to take over the role of the superhuman villain from Ricardo Montalbán, whose portrayal in 1982's "The Wrath of Khan" is treated with religious veneration in the Trekker community. Among our picks were Tom Cruise, Javier Bardem, Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie.
